Seo Hana

NAME:  Seo Hana
NICKNAME: Just Hana :)
AGE: 21
BIRTHPLACE: Busan, South Korea
ETHNICITY: Korean
FACECLAIM: Yves (LOONA)

DETAILS

APPEARANCE & LOOKS: (honestly not really different from fc at all) Hana is on the taller side, but not tall enough so that it's worthy of pointing out. However, one thing worthy of pointing out is her beauty. This might seem narcissistic, but she spends a lot of effort on her appearance and it definitely shows.

FASHION: When she arrives, she has a leather jacket and skinny jeans. Pretty nondescript, but what really stands out is her makeup. Hana always always always has red lipstick. Somehow, it doesn't really come off at all during her time at the mansion, but one could care less.

Personality

TRAITS: Sociable, Charismatic, Narcissistic, Persistent, Compulsive, Dishonest

PERSONALITY: Hana is sociable, loving to talk to new people, which helps because she is also very charismatic. Anyone who talks to her is immediately charmed, causing her to have many admirers, and consequently, many enemies. She garners a lot of attention, and she knows this.

Despite her admirers, she is narcissistic, and just can't seem to find anyone that piques her interest. All of her decisions are based off of what would have the best results for herself. If anything, this is her greatest character flaw.

Still, she's persistent, and would stop at nothing to get what she feels like she deserves. Even if the others disagree with her, she will always follow her gut feeling with no hesitation, causing her to be quite compulsive at times. She really has no filter for what is a good idea versus a bad idea, only for what she feels like is right or wrong.

She has a tendency to be dishonest. Lies seem to come out as easily as breathing, which gives her a bad reputation among the others. However, this could just as easily be a way to protect herself from people/things trying to harm her.

In the end, doesn't it seem like she's just in love with herself?

History

BACKGROUND: Hana was born to famous actor Seo Myunghoon in the spring of 1997. She was a child actor, acting in several movies with limited success until her retirement at the age of 18 when she enrolled into university.

She didn't want to retire. It wasn't her decision; Hana's parents wanted her to at least get a college education without being distracted. Hana fought a lot with them, but gave in. It seemed pretty uncharacteristic to her high school friends.

Despite her inadequate grades, she got accepted into Yonsei University, to her classmates' dismay. Rumors, by classmates and by online netizens, surfaced quickly about foul play. Surprisingly, the drama seemed to die down after she actually went to university and pulled through her first semester with a 3.8 (nobody's perfect) GPA.

Campus life itself was pretty normal, to say the least. She made a lot of friends, got pretty good grades, and went to her classes. People didn't really say much about her past, except for the occasional "Did you know she used to be an actress?". She became close friends with a girl called Haseul, who ran up to her as soon as she realized that Hana was from her favorite movie.

Freshman year seemed to pass by quickly, and summer vacation went by too fast. Sophomore year, she was paired with a girl named Lee Sunhee to dorm together. From the moment they met, Hana thought she was too enthusiastic. Still, it was nice to have such a happy person around. Recently though, she introduced Haseul to Sunhee, and they've been hanging out more than she hangs out with Haseul. Maybe she's kind of jealous, but it doesn't matter too much to her anyways. Though recently, Haseul's been making stupid comments about Sunhee. Ugh, Haseul needs to keep her crush to herself.

Hana didn't have class, so she was lazing around the school canteen at 4PM. Usually the staff ladies would kick out students that weren't there during meal times, but she managed to convince them to let her stay. Hana didn't really care much for the school's food, preferring to eat out at restaurants, but she was particularly hungry that day, so of course, she went up to the staff lady and begged for food. Successfully acquiring a bowl of soup meant for dinner that day, she made her way back to her table. On the table was a red envelope. Strange. She didn't notice anyone in the canteen except herself and the staff. Perhaps she should have taken it as a warning sign, but she opened the letter anyways. It seemed to be an invitation for an event and Hana was already standing up to throw it away until the text at the bottom caught her eye. It promised "eternal youth and beauty."

Hana wasn't dumb. She knew this was definitely a scam, but for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to throw it away. When she returned, she saw Sunhee on the couch, gawking at an identical letter. That fool really took it home she thought. Well, she really shouldn't be judging, but Hana knows she needs this more than Sunhee. She's running out of time. It's her only hope if she wants to act again. After all, the location doesn't seem to be too far away. The only bad thing that can come out of this is wasting a couple hours of her weekend.

The Details

OCCUPATION: Student at Yonsei University

SKILLS
- Acting: She has 18 years of acting experience. She can easily feign calmness in times of stress, even when she's actually panicking on the inside.
- Persuasion: She's very good at persuading others to her whim.
- First Aid/Shooting Guns/Martial Arts: (DISCLAIMER) These aren't really skills that she's really good at, but she's done action movies, so she has at least some knowledge on these skills. She hasn't actually used these skills in real life, but she gets how it's supposed to look like, so all she has to do is imitate the motions, and it mostly works.

HABITS
- She may look calm during stressful situations, but she's actually gnawing furiously on the inside of her cheek.
- When she's trying to impress people, her smile looks different, raising one corner higher than the other.

LIKES: Makeup, Blogging, Talking, Lazing Around
DISLIKES: Writing, Sweet Foods, Reptiles, Exercise

important people

FAMILY/FRIENDS:
- Seo Myunghoon: Hana's famous actor and director father, he's a relatively normal dad in behavior, but in the film industry, he wields a lot of power.
- Jo Haseul: The closest thing to a best friend Hana has. Haseul approached her during freshman year, and Hana hasn't been able to shake her off. Secretly, Hana loves her, but doesn't see them as equals. Also, she thinks Haseul has a crush on Sunhee (but she doesn't).
- Lee Sunhee: Hana's roommate. Hana doesn't find her annoying per say, but she's overbearing at times. She thinks Sunhee is kind of a ditz, and can't take her seriously.

LOVE:  Sunhee has a crush on Hana, while Hana only loves herself. As for what actually happens in the end, I'll leave that up to you.

The Wish

WISH: Eternal youth and beauty: She wants to become an actress again, but she feels like she's running out of time as she grows older.

ending

SUGGESTIONS:
- Well, this character is basically asking for a complete meltdown. She's composed most of the time, but to have her lose her would be interesting.
- Hana's supposed to be a relatively unlikeable character with many negative qualities, to contrast Finally_Home's character Lee Sunhee. I guess maybe she should have like a redeeming arc or something?

COMMENTS:  I think I might have played out the narcissistic part too much, but it's basically her motivation for everything she does. Also, the background is very much based off of 'Heart Attack' by Chuu!

PASSWORD: No password! But I would love something that will make me laugh! I'm sorry.
