TAGLINE Summer Fairy, Fake Maknae
APPEARANCE (148cm + 45kg) Bora's most distinctive feature is her height, or rather, lack of height. She looks very young for her age, appearing to be the same age as the maknae, despite being one of the eldest members. She has gotten work done to sharpen her jaw and cheeks, but her weight tends to gather in her face so she gained it all back. She has a complex about her babyface, so she's often trying out new random fad diets. Her hair is usually kept long and black for her concept, but she would like to try some more "adventurous" colors, like blonde or pink.
STYLE Bora's stylists take advantage of her cute face to style her in girlish clothing (think: twice, lovelyz, oh my girl). Personally, she doesn't care much for fashion, although she doesn't mind her stage outfits. Her personal clothing is pretty much just clothes for practice (tracksuits, tshirts, sweatpants, etc).

STAGE NAME BORA
POSITION main/lead vocal, sub rapper
TALENT TWINS
vocal - Jueun (DIA)

TRAINING PERIOD 3 years
TRAINEE LIFE Bora joined Daughter Entertainment in 2016 after she graduated from high school. From the beginning, her vocal skills were almost ready for debut, but she wasn't able to debut with Marigold since her dancing was subpar. After Marigold's debut, Bora began to spend more of her time working on becoming more well-rounded, picking up rap and producing. Actually, she liked producing so much that at one point, she considering quitting as a trainee to become a producer instead, but she ended up staying as a trainee anyways. She improved her dancing up to the point of being able to keep up with a choreography but is not a good dancer by any means. She is currently still a trainee.

PERSONALITY In the public eye, Bora's the type of person that change her demeanor at the drop of a hat. One minute, she could be childlike and cute, and the next, she could be completely deadpan and serious. Her sudden changes are funny on variety shows because they're often catch the hosts off-guard and her timing seems to always be perfect. However, to some people, this can give her the reputation of being "fake" or "two-faced." People who meet Bora after watching her on shows tend to expect her to be one of two things: funny or untrustworthy.

While Bora wouldn't necessarily disagree that she isn't the most trustworthy person, it isn't usually in the way people would assume. She doesn't secretly hate people or spread malicious comments. She's actually rather loose-lipped...and can't keep secrets well. The personality changes that she's known for are nowhere as severe as she displays in public. Actually, the people who knew her before debut were actually really surprised when they saw her on television because she seemed like a different person. She's very conscious of when she's on camera, so she makes sure to keep those two personas separate.

In her personal life, like most idols, Bora is a more mellow person than on camera. She's not exceptionally cheerful or serious, but more like a girl next door. She sets realistic goals for herself, but still stays optimistic and open to bigger possibilities. People think she's funny, but in a dry humor sort of way. She doesn't crave change constantly, but she doesn't like to have the same routine everyday, so she somewhat likes the busy idol schedule. She absolutely hates arguing, so she does everything in her ability to avoid confrontation, which includes just staying silent and walking away, which can annoy some people but ultimately helps her avoid conflicts.

When Bora is in a group on camera, she stands out because of her variety skills (and her height lol). However, off camera, she tends to fade into the group, not making much effort to stand out when there's no camera, and people don't really tend to remember her unless she makes an actual effort. In a way, she's got pretty much a one-track mind that only cares about being a singer and growing successful. There's not much that she does that isn't related to her career.

BACKGROUND Bora was born in Suwon, South Korea. Two years later, her younger sister, Boyoung, was born. Her parents divorced when Bora was three and she doesn't really remember her father. Bora and her sister were mostly raised by her grandmother, and their childhood was otherwise normal. Bora was a big fan of SNSD, so once she turned 14, she began auditioning for entertainment companies. She would often make it to the second round of auditions, but would get cut once she had to dance. Eventually, she stopped auditioning when she reached high school to concentrate on her studies, but never found anything that she was passionate for. She started auditioning again after she graduated and eventually joined Daughter Entertainment in 2016. In July 2017, her grandmother passed away. Bora took a month-long break to stay with her sister and returned in August.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Sister - Son Boyoung - 24/12/99
Bora was always kind of jealous of Boyoung's good looks and height. However, Boyoung was never interested in the world of singers. Rather, she was always very studious and is currently a college student. Despite seeming more mature than Bora ever since they were children, Bora feels almost a maternal sort of affection for Boyoung, especially since their mother was often away at work. Bora texts her nightly to check up on her. Boyoung finds it weird how Bora never seems to have time during the daytime due to her training, but doesn't pay much attention to what's going on with Daughter.

Labelmate - Nasang
Nasang debuted before Bora joined the company, and their age difference was big, so they never really ended up becoming friends. The conversations they've had were just when they happened to be alone together in the same time and place, and that was very rare.

Labelmate - Sienna
Being the same age and training at the same time, Bora was sure that she would debut in the same group as Doyeon. Their relationship as trainees was always somewhat lukewarm, but Bora never saw Doyeon as mean or rude. Then, after Marigold debuted, Doyeon just never spoke to her again.

Labelmate - Yui
Bora auditioned for Daughter Ent. because of Yui, but upon joining the company, Bora rarely sees Yui. Out of the years that Bora's been training, she's only seen her in person a handful of times.

Trainee - Frankie Kang
They were close training buddies and would be considered very good, if not best friends. They were excited to debut together but Frankie really hates Bora's personality on camera and finds it very fake and annoying.

[ REM!X TAPE 0006 : BORA ]
Initially, they intended to reveal her after her dance lesson, but upon seeing her with messy hair and sweating buckets, they decided to just wait until the next day. They just came into her production studio with the camera and were like "Surprise! You're debuting!" Honestly, Bora already knew they were going to film it, but she didn't expect them to suddenly crash in while she wasn't in the practice room. She experiences many emotions at once, and she tears up a little. They a bit for crying, but it's understandable: she was rejected from Marigold and trained for years. She makes a stupid comment about how if she had known they would film her in the studio, she would have dressed better, and she thanks the company and staff. The video ends with her waving at the camera. "I won't disappoint you!"
