I’m generally not chatty when it comes to graphics and co. because I don’t really know what to say lol (just another proof that I’m terrible at this), so excuse the following content.

1. How long have you been designing?

Since 2013 on aff?

Officially began around 2008-2009 when I was active in the roleplaying community and you needed a lot of for your characters and boards, like icons, signatures yadda yadda. Wasn’t anything spectacular, but that’s when I got the basics. Met my bff around that period too and she was into drawing, so also Photoshop and stuff, taught me some things and another friend I had used Photoshop while I owned a ty computer and couldn’t. I watched her work several times and was mesmerized lol

2. What do you use to design?

Photoshop CS6.

Also worked in Collage Maker (LMAO), think I tried GIMP briefly but was never into it since everyone around me used PS from early on? I switched from Collage Maker to Photoshop right away (can’t remember what version, older one anyway – think it was 7?), CS3 or CS4 (??? I can’t remember, I’m sorry) on laptop -> got brand new gaming computer with CS6 and been with it since then. I’m pretty sure I worked in CS2 too lol… unless that’s the one I had on the laptop, can’t remember imsorry orz

3. What's your first ever poster? What's your latest poster?

Uh… First one, I’m actually not sure if it’s this one or this one lol I do remember needing a poster (more like wanting, really wanting, burning desire) for my story, so I just made it myself lol

4. Which genres are your strengths?

Anything dark tbh. I began as a “dark” designer too on aff and my black&whites were appreciated, but at some point people forgot about this and expected me to be good at cutesy stuff and I’m like ??? what happened.

5. Which genres are your weaknesses?

Anything cute and mushy and happy and super colorful. I’m learning tho… I guess lol

6. What's your design style?

My style has been called chaotic before and that’s about it lol I kind of like it tho? Not having a set of rules, not being that “clean”? (nothing against it, I love clean looking posters). I don’t use a lot of textures and have been playing mostly with color lately instead of composition/textures (/loser), so I have a plain not-creative style lulz

7. Do you own a graphic shop?

The one and only We Got Fired. You probably checked us once in your aff lifetime (I HOPE?). Co-owned with Lynnda. It began as a joke while we were working at another shop, then materialized and today we’re kind of not active, but meh. Everyone needs a break.

I had a solo thing going on too aka Pomelo, shortlived due to encountering some things that NEVER or RARELY happened at WGF, so I just gave up being nice and shut it down.

8. Do you work for a graphic shop?

I have a bad experience with working at other shops, not because I was treated terribly or something, but because whenever I joined, the shop suddenly died LOL (I’m cursed). Like, I joined, and next day – POOF! Dead. Or the owners didn’t really care about properly managing the shop. And this one time, the shop revamped and reopened without the designers. I wasn’t told a thing about no longer working there or something??? A PM would have been nice.

Also, having WGF kind of made me bitter about certain things, so I’m very careful of where I work and I also make sure that I don’t go where I don’t belong, reason why I avoided most shops with “bigger-names” since I wasn’t that good to join them :/ (enjoyed the stalking tho)

Currently only working at Neverland because Lynelle is an awesome person <3 and while I had some doubts when I began and felt uncomfortable with some things (we talked them out tho), I slowly fell in love with it.

9. Are there any designers you look up to?

Forever a Jess fangirl (lionessheart), Lynelle (slategrey), Yukee (hota-rubi), Ludo (ryhanna – underappreciated af), --wickedjackal, Dellaburies, the twins and forever Lynnda because we’ve been supporting each other for years now <3

But honestly, I find that each and every (new or old) designer adds something to the community, so they’re all fun to follow (lowkey stalking everyone and you don’t even know mwuhahaha).

10. What's your favourite poster to date?

Uh, . I don’t really… have a favorite? So I’ll list some I am proud of lol

I remember being proud of this, this, this, this and this, but now I’m not sure why lol

I got my first “award” with this one from Yukee LOL kinda lame if I think about it now, but it was special back then.

I spent so much time looking for a goddamn gas mask that will fit that it’s impossible not to like this one LOL also, it was initially a free poster, then I slapped my username on it and wrote a fic because I fell in love with the title (that came after watching a South Park episode, totally random, I know – and eventually had to drop the fic cause I s-u-c-k).

These are all fairly recent tho… so guess I’m ok-ish with what I’ve been doing lately? /suddenly missing black&white/

11. What's your least favourite poster to date?

I hate everything else. But mostly this one,

12. How long does it usually take for you to finish a poster?

Depends on the complexity of the poster and my mood. I get a general idea of what I want when I begin and slowly fix things as I go. Average, I’d say 1-2 hours IF I have all pictures. If not, I take more time to find good photos than to actually do the poster lol if my mood is low/I’m not feeling the request/I had a long day and am drained, I’ll probably take a day or two, max. 3 days :/ don’t think I ever went beyond 3 days, unless I was really busy or was sick during that period.

13. Do you have a portfolio?

14. Do you join graphic contests?

One of those first aff posters was actually for a contest lol that never ended, I believe?

I want to, but I’m not… big on contests? I always end up busy or lacking creativity when in contests, which is damn weird because I should be happy to have mostly a free hand and all. At the end of the day, I’m more comfortable doing something for others than doing something for a contest (myself), so I only join a contest if I really like a prompt or something, for fun and all :/

15. If you write stories, do you make your own posters?

HAHAHAA… not really. It’s so hard, because I know the story very well, so I end up being super extra hard on myself if the poster doesn’t turn out good. I’d rather let others do me a poster.
