bohee would be considered that beautiful nerd girl that sets in the back of the classroom that everyone knows about but no one talks to. she's the girl next door type, and kwon bohee wouldn't have it any other way.

the first thing people notice about bohee is how hard working she is. she doesn't like to settle for less and will push others into doing their best as well. bohee is also quite honest. she tells people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear so they'll feel better. she would like others to do the same for her as she is very excellent at taking criticism and is quite self-aware. she's the first person to point out her own flaws and is very aware of her strengths and weaknesses. if she can't finish a task by herself she'll seek out someone who is known to be proficient in the area she's lacking in and if she notices someone lacking at something she excels in she'll make sure to quickly offer her help.

never to be one to intentionally draw attention to herself, bohee is an introvert. she's the type who would stay in on a friday night and have a party by herself or with one close friend than to go out and be surrounded by hundreds of people. even around her closest friends however, bohee can be as quiet as a mouse. that isn't to say she can't be quirky or add in her own hilarious comments when least expected from her, she just prefers to observe others. she's the first person to know when someone's upset by the vibe they give off or to know when to stay clear from someone because they have sketchy behavioral patterns when they think no one is watching. instead of expressing herself with her words or actions, bohee turns to a more artistic method. she puts her all into her lyrics and dances, usually using that as a coping method if she's upset.

as short tempered as bohee is, you'll see her with her nose in her notebook quickly writing some lyrics down to get her frustrations out or you'll see her dancing until her limbs feel like falling off. in addition to this, bohee is also very emotional. she's the first to start tearing up at a touching moment or sappy romance movie. she's also good at reading people's emotions which is why she like to say she's an emotional person as she'll catch herself starting to tear up at other people's happiness or sadness. however, she's also a very passive person. if someone is upset at her she'll just listen to them and walk away as she hates when people get angry towards her. she'll usually apologize and then go her own way when this happens. bohee might be mature for her age, but she can still be quite bratty and pout if she things don't go her way. of course, she still prefers to express herself through music even if that means she's ignoring you for the rest of the day.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

kwon bohee was born on a sunny fall day in atlanta georgia on november 16th, 2000. her parents were both korean studying abroad at the time they met; her father now working as a teacher and her mother was a nurse. her family wasn't one who always had money and her parents struggled for many years to get by.

growing up bohee learned at a young age what it was to truly struggle as she watched her parents bust their asses working day and night for their family to have a roof over their head. with the addition of her younger brother heejun when bohee was 2, her parents started getting second part time jobs to provide more income. unfortunately, for her family, her parents couldn't pay their rent and ended up losing their house. all her parents could afford at that time was a small two bedroom apartment where their children shared a room but with bohee and heejun growing older and both needing their own space her parents were left with no choice but to send their children to live with their mothers sister and niece and nephew in cheongju, south korea as they couldn't afford anything else.

when bohee left her crowded apartment in atlanta she didn't resent her parents one bit. if anything seeing her parents struggle the way the did made her want to work hard at whatever she did, even if that meant taking a path where she would be met with her own struggles.

bohee was artistic, even as a child. she learned to play guitar from a friends parent and started writing her own lyrics from a young age. when she first moved to korea in 2007 she saw snsd on television and was inspired by them and boa to learn dancing. her aunt, who she lived with at the time, was a dance instructor in ilsan and soon took bohee under her wing. she learned contemporary dance along side her cousin, eunbi, from 2008 onwards. however, no matter how talented bohee was, she was always too nervous to compete in dance competitions with her cousin or make very many friends within the dance company as she had been diagnosed with a general anxiety disorder and a social anxiety disorder after moving to korea. her aunt helped bohee use dance as sort of a way to escape her mind and gain confidence as she was a natural at anything she did. slowly but surely, bohee gained enough confidence in herself to forget the rest of the world as she danced and performed. 

by 2010 bohee fell in love with r&b and realized that was the direction she wanted to go with her music. bohee along with her cousin started auditioning for entrainment companies. in 2011 the girls first auditioned for big hit entertainment with the encouragement from her aunt. eunbi originally made it into the company, later transferring to source music, while bohee was rejected as she was still lacking confidence in herself. bohee worked her off after that auditioning for other companies like sm and dsp before finally finding her home in honey entertainment in 2012 as they saw her true potential.

→ mother and father, kwon bongyoung and hwang yeorin ⋮ 41 & 39 ⋮ elementary teacher and nurse ⋮ bongyoung is very loving and supportive while her mother yeorin is caring and great at advice ⋮ seeing as bohee can only see her parents every summer as that's all her family could afford plus training, her relationship isn't as close as others would be with their parents. she skype calls them whenever she can however, so it isn't to say they're completely out of her life. her main goal after debuting is buying them a house in korea so her family can be together again.

                                                                     
→ aunt, hwang minhee⋮ 46 ⋮ dance instructor ⋮ minhee is a very competitive person who strives to be the best in whatever she does, perhaps that's who bohee picked up her hardworking habits from. she loves children and is just a rebelous youth at heart. ⋮ minhee has always been a mother figure to bohee as minhee introduced her into the world of dance and helped shape her into the person she is today. she owns a dance studio in cheongju, south korea where many idols found their start, including bohee. minhee tries her best to push bohee to her limits and get her out of her comfort zone. 

                                                                      
→ cousin, hwang hyukjae  ⋮ 23 ⋮ college student (graphic design) ⋮ hyukjae is a very witty individual; he could use his wit and charm to get in out of any situation. out of his family he's the most  lazy one, reasons he never pursued a musical career like his mother and sister although he is also a very talented dancer. ⋮ growing up hyukjae was always that annoying older family member that would never let you live, but that's how he always showed his affection. if he was a complete savage that meant he was comfortable around you. bohee mainly played video games with hyukjae.

                                                                      
→ cousin, hwang eunbi ⋮ 19 ⋮ gfriends sinb ⋮ eunbi is the definetion of extra. she's a goof, but that isn't to say she isn't as equally caring and loyal to those she holds close. ⋮ eunbi was someone bohee always looked up to growing up. her personality is quite opposite of bohee's; and eunbi was a skilled dancer that bohee strived to be like. they got into their fair share of fights while growing up, but honestly they're more like sisters than cousins. when eunbi was accepted into an entertainment company before bohee it definitely broke her spirit a bit, but it only made her into more of a fighter; resulting in bohee being quite surprised that she ended up debuting a year before eunbi. they're both still really close to this day.

                                                                       
→ younger brother, kwon heejun ⋮ 16 ⋮ high school student ⋮ heejun is the most logical out of his family. he has the most brains and always seems to have his nose in a book. ⋮ heejun had the hardest time adjusting while growing up in korea as he wasn't musically inclined and always had to be watched over as he's insanely clumsy. literally, this kid will trip over his own feet. as he has acute anxiety and battles depression; he was inspired by how bohee always seemed to overcome her issues and try her best. although he moved back to the states to live with his parents, he's still close to bohee and she always dotes on him and tells everyone how proud she is of him when he accomplishes one of his goals. he wants to study in korea for college.

→ Relation, kang micha ⋮ 17 ⋮ flora's daisy ⋮ personality ⋮ micha and bohee were acquaintances during their training, and bohee was relieved when micha was added to flora as she's on good terms wth but not super close with the other members. over time the two grew close and micha is the first person bohee comes to to calm her mind down. 

                                                                      
→ Relation, moon bin ⋮ 20 ⋮ astro's moonbin ⋮ moonbin is a very warm, caring, tender, and warmhearted person ⋮ moonbin was the neighbor of bohee while she was growing up and was also a student at minhee's dance academy. at one point in time, bohee had a small crush on moonbin, those feelings slowly dissolving over time. they're childhood friends who are still close as idols.

⟪ TRAINEE LIFE ⟫

bohee became a trainee for honey entertainment in 2012. it was around this time that bohee's parents became financially stable after finding full time jobs. however, as bohee was finally taking the steps to achieve her dreams, she decided to stay with her aunt in korea while her brother moved back to the states. every summer she spent a few weeks with her parents in the us, however.  most of her trainee life consisted of was met was constant hard work and dedication. she mainly kept to herself and didn't want a lot of attention drawn to her as she just wanted to focus on her training but she met a few good friends along the way. the hard working bohee eventually found herself debuting in 2014 as a member of flora. 

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫

with minhyuk's "happy virus" personality, he often brings out the inner dork in bohee, something not many people get to witness. of course, that kind of relationship between the two didn't grow over night and took many months of getting closer to one another thanks to moonbin. with his blunt personality he's very good at giving bohee advice when she needs it as minhyuk is one of the first people bohee will go to when she needs someone. the two obviously care a lot about one another; with minhyuk always checking up on her to make sure she's feeling alright or the simple act of putting his arm around her when he can tell she's starting to freak out and bohee constantly making sure he's feeling okay and isn't over working himself. 
as obvious it is to tell that they care a lot about each other, bohee won't make an actual move on minhyuk as she's scared he only thinks of her as a friend. and honestly, bohee is okay with having minhyuk only as a friend, for now anyway.

⟪ HISTORY ⟫

bohee met minhyuk through her friendship with moonbin. she had been a fan of his dancing since astro had debuted, although their first few meetings were awkward to say the least, with bohee's anxiety and minhyuk being awkward around females in general, but over time the two grew closer and bohee definitely lists minhyuk as one of her closest friends.
