► a handsome face really, no one would know he's working for such an evil purpose to continue his living. a face that hides all reality and a face that everyone imagines of being so perfect.

background / family, life, everything before it began. (i'm sorry it turned out into a story, just read the last paragraph for short info.)

► His childhood years were happy, but sadly he doens't remember them anymore. 
    He lived in one of the run-down areas of Daejeon but with his neighbours, both father and moter, and a decent education, he was leading a life of a normal kid. 

     But at the age of 9, it was Jaesuk's turning point in life which made him unable to go back to the way he was. There was an old man who always lays low in the shabbiest area or the town, and just stares at passerbys and giving a weird smirk.

      Jaesuk had met him like an unevitible fate. The old man said he has been waiting for him to come. An innocent kind child like Jaesuk wouldn't dare to disrespect an old man and even in turn kindly listened and fufilled the man's wishes of buying water, grabbing his things, taking him to certain locations and all that. But as innocent as Jaesuk was, he was naive to notice that they were walking to the edge of the town where there is nothing but gangsters and criminals. 

       No the old man did not shoot the kid or sell him for his organs, instead he invited Jaesuk to come inside. The inside which filled with things Jaesuk was told to never wonder or think about as a child. Knives, machette, chainsaws, metal scrapes of all sorts, guns and stench of gas. 

      No one ever knew what the old man had in mind that day; he let the child handle one of the dagger that was freshly sharpened, and to his surprise, or expectation, Jaesuk handled it pretty well due to his father being a butcher in the market. He ever popped up some movements he saw on TV and thought it was 'fun' to play with knives and showing off these moves. As if it was childsplay. 

     Continually, Jaesuk visited the old man regularly with a promise "never tell anyone about this" and it's been well over 6 years and now he's in highschool. 

       

    When Jaesuk started to skip any afterschool and skipped learning hours, and frequently coming back home late, his parents surely started to suspect his actions. First they tried to shake it off by believing it was part of boy's growing nature to skip a few classes and hang out with friends. But no, it wasn't a friend of his age he was hanging around with, but an old grey head man now looking more vulnerable then ever. He had been teaching Jaesuk as if they were some interesting tips and tricks to know, where to stab the body to put immediate death, how to aim perfectly for headshot, when to put on a mask and when to backstab literally, how to kill. 

      The smell of blood or gas doesn't wear off one's body easily, and Jaesuk's been trying to hide it for as long as he could, but one day while his mother was taking his laundry, a pool of red color stained on his sweat pants and thought of that very questionably. 

    It was very very hard to keep up with lies to his parents.

    But after a week after that happened, the face on both his parents seemed grim and couldn't keep a straight face or look in the eye. The father got more aggressive in scolding and nitpicking his every little movements, the mother seemed helpless and kept heaving heavy sigh of depression. Some nights he would hear his mother cry in the master bedroom. 

 

      Eventually when his 18th birthday came, he was thinking to cheer everyone up and throw a party. But still his innocence and naive-ness stayed the same which made him to invite the old man to his party back at home. It's time they get closer, he confessed. The old man laughed out very loud and Jaesuk couldn't figure out the situation. 

      By the time Jaesuk brought the visitor to the house, both faces of the parents never lifted from a frown or let the old man out of their sight. 

       Jaesuk senses the tension, but continues to introduce both sides and kept an innocent mask still. 

 

     The night deepened at Bang Jaesuk's household until the clock struck 7 sharp. 

"It's seven, Mr. Bang." The old man suggested at the father.

Mr. Bang now having sharp uneasy breaths, tried to push the words out of his troath. 

"It might be late for you, senior citizen, why not get back to your house?"

The old man hysterically laughs at the mention of 'senior citizen'.

"Oh dear no, I have nowhere to return to. Or wait, I am already home." 

The weird sentences that came out of his mouth scared both Mr and Mrs. Bang while Jaesuk laughs along and says, "Of course! Make yourself feel like home."

That clicked on the anger switch for Mr. Bang. 

"Sir I would appretatie if you can leave. NOW."

The old man, still laughin, stood up in his place and eyes at the trembling parents with an evil smile.

"Oh sure. If you want me to get out of your sight. I will make it come true..." He snatches in the small pocket from behind his pants, "By making you never able to see anymore!"

He throws out extremely thin razor blades, long enough to control with a thread, aiming at the troath of the parents. 

"Mr. Jang what are you-!"

"Stay low boy."

It was not another second that Mr. Bang had a gun in his hand, shooting recklessly out of anger and shock. The whole house was a noisy mess when the mother also started throwing utensils or any objects she could find. 

 

    Jaesuk was terrified, horrified by the sight, that his important people, people he kept trying to stay happy, were now having a kill off with one another. 

     Both side of the party asked Jaesuk for assistance, to help them kill the other. 

     Jaesuk already had a gun in his hand, a present from the old man. He had already honed his aiming skill and had the guts to kill wild animals and put a knife through human's guts. But never in his life had he felt so scared. 

 

    But it wasn't too long until both men came down, tired. Now it was Jaesuk's chance, to shoot either one of them down. Both had gave him so much happiness, but suddenly in that time, he wasn't thinking who to save, but who to kill. Who had gave him a harder time, who had blamed him more and never considered his feelings, who had not .. loved Jaesuk.

 

   Closing his eyes, he pulled his trigger. A moan came out of one of the men and a screech from the only woman in the house. A tear trickled down his cheeks as he now runs towards the battle field, and picks up the old man from his dying state, leaving severely hurt parents inside and takes him to their regular hideout. 

"I will make everything right again." He spoke to himself.

The old man smirked and thought to himself, success. 

The regret face on Jaesuk never left and stayed on for quite a long time. He learned new moves and tricks with that same expression, even when the old man finally introduced him to his gang, he greeted without a smile. His skills even got to improve faster within a year, pushing his limits further and skipping school to get into practice. 
After the first ever field mission, he got his deserving reward. 2 million won for hitting target mark. He became more merciless then before and moved around like a snake. His fame spread through similar hitmans through gangs and gangs and he became superior to almost everyone despite his young age. 

 

"Dogs stay loyal to their owners. To those who train them well and give them meat more than they deserve. That's how they gain trust, and that's when we make them work like hell."

 

relationships / ones who effected him most in life. 

► Jang JaeMoon - age 78 - deceased - the trainer that brought Jaesuk to withstand hell's heat.

► Bang HyungSeung - age 57 - coma after life threatening shot in the trapezius - the doctor mentions at how lucky the aim missed both the lungs breathing point and the human concious point. Was the aim missed or done on purpose? Jaesuk still lurks around the hospital his father is staying in, and can't hide the fear of meeting his mother. 

► Jung SeoJang - age 24 - computer genius/the only person Jaesuk has ever opened up to after joining the kill squad gang - this boy is also very mischievous, and never had a person who was a similar age, so he was so excited in meeting Jaesuk. When they met, they were like total opposites. One smiling and beaming to meet a new co-worker, one with a death-threatening eye. It is very true they were opposites because as the years passed, Jaesuk became a goofball again around his friend, and Seojang becomes stern and sadistic. It wasn't long before the leader Jang JaeMoon could pass away, the hit man squad was squabbling for the title. 

Betrayal, Jaesuk have done that before, and it didn't feel so nice. But for SeoJang, it was much easier than a piece of cake. It turns out Seojang was already working for other another rival gang and to make sure his new gang rises to the top, he had to destroy every last bit of the old one. 

Jaesuk now knew it wasn't nice to feel betrayed either. It felt very bad in both occasions, betraying and betrayal, because both were with the people he knew best.

► almost like a vampire, he stays away from sunlight.

► the only technological device he uses would be his 2G phone and a ultra infra-radiation and AI robot all-in-one knowledge based glasses.

► snores pretty loudly.

► he teases around with people but doesn't really care on getting closer with anybody.

► toe nail . always fiddles with his nails and tears them off frequently.

► his sense of smell isn't really that good. after being through so much disgust of dead bodies.

► even though he didn't finish school, he's still pretty intelligent. Remembers things very very well.

► his money isn't really in any bank, but made an artificial account that can be accessed through any money-transfering platform.

final words / So i hope you enjoyed reading jaesuk. This character was inspired by ji changwook's character in Healer (partly The K2 too) and Deadshot in Suicide Squad.
