FASHION SENSE:  yeeun has a very "california" sense of fashion. she loves wearing crop top and high waisted pants, anything street style inspired actually.  she follows american trends more than korean, earning herself some dirty looks when she's walking down the street due to her revealing outfits. in the dorm she's usually in minimal clothing unless the group is filming something. to her showing skin every day is no different than what you would see if she went swimming. she's comfortable enough with herself and her members to be walking around the dorm with a hoddie and underwear or a sports bra and shorts. when clubbing she is dressed to impress; bet she's the best dressed in the club or she's taking her extra home to change. APPEARANCE: yeeun has a pear body frame where her bottom half is a tad bit bigger than the upper half due to her constantly working out and dancing. she gains muscles easily and takes good care of her body. her hair is usually medium - long length and died either a brown or black color. she has three piercings in each ear and has a cartilage piercing in her right ear and her tragus is pierced in her left; along with a nose stud. she has 3 tattoos - a small heart on the inside of her right ankle, a small rose on her right arm, and a moon sternum tattoo.

BACKGROUND:  yeeun was born to a middle class family in ilsan, south korea. her parents were a young couple and yeeun was their first and only child. growing up, yeeun witnessed many fights between her parents are her mother was very strict with her upbringing and her father was more laid back but had a drinking habit. his habits got worse as yeeun grew older, her usual caring and understanding father turning into someone unrecognizable. he grew violent and lost his job due to his drinking problem; eventually the arguments between her parents turning more and more physical as time went on.

her mother finally ended up leaving her father when yeeun was 13 after he accused yeeun of drinking his expensive vodka and put his hands on her. her mother filed for divorce and after the divorce was legalized her mother moved to fullerton, california to live with her parents and took yeeun with her.

the move wasn't too hard on yeeun as she had visited california before with her mother and knew the area fairly well and had studied english in school and her mother had her learn as a child. due to her mothers strictness growing up yeeun had turned into a sneaky child. she didn't understand why her mother was always so hard on her when she was a decent kid with pretty good grades. as yeeun grew up she started to rebel more and more against her mother. when she lived in korea she would be what could be considered as a "middle school iljen" and snuck out late with her friends or said she was studying late when she was really sneaking into clubs and sneaking alcohol from her fathers cabinet to share with her friends. when yeeun moved to california none of her old friends even attempted to keep in contact to her and it was pretty obvious to her they were only using her as easy access to drinks.

yeeun still had a good head on her shoulders and took the move as a chance to reinvent herself, but her mothers strictness only got worse. yeeun eventually started rebelling again and sneaking out late as parties in california as a teen was almost an every night thing. yeeun had only one best friend during her years in america and kept her circle as small as possible to avoid having fake friends in her life again. she grew untrusting of people and used drinking and smoking as a way to feel young as she felt like her mother was keeping her from living like a normal youth. 

when yeeun was 18 a party she was attending got busted and she was arrested for underaged drinking and having drug paraphernalia on her (). her mother was beyond outraged as she thought yeeun was at her friends house studying when in reality her friend was no where in sight. as yeeun was graduating high school in a few months her mother made sure to have her start college in korea after completing a rehab program in the states. 

growing up the only thing her mother forced upon her that she enjoyed was a love of dance. her mother was a ballet dancer growing up and wanting nothing but to have yeeun follow in her footsteps. yeeun started learning ballet when she was 6 years old. however, her heart was never in ballet but in contemporary and hiphop dance. her mother agreed to let her branch out after years of long arguments as having yeeun interested in any form of dance was better than nothing. while she lived in america, yeeuns friends were also interested in music and rapping and yeeun eventually fell in love with everything involving performing on stage and having all eyes on her. 

when she completed her rehab program she started college at chung ang university in seoul with a major in dance and a minor in theater. however, her party life style was never far behind her. as clubbing is popular for young adults in korea, yeeun found herself at clubs every weekend. when her friends from america visited yeeuns habits slowly returned as she wanted to show them the full seoul lifestyle. yeeun found various odd jobs in korea such as modeling for sport brands and clothing websites and eventually was invited to attend an aomg party due to mutal friends in the industry. it was then yeeun was scouted to be a member of aomg's upcoming girl group due to her good visuals and interest in performing. her mother wasn't too thrilled with the idea and insisted yeeun come back home, but since yeeun was an adult  now there wasn't much she could do.

PERSONALITY:  loyal, confident, protective, thrill seeking, passionate, short-tempered, rebellious, sarcastic, moody, childish

first impressions: yeeun is usually underestimated due to her good looks and revealing outfits. people usually expect her to be a complete air head who parties non stop which is only partly true. she is usually smiling to seem more approachable to people. after seeing how sociable she is people usually think she's outgoing and witty due to her sarcastic tongue. when people first meet her in a club some may be thrown off by how confident she is in herself and may see her as assertive, but she insists she's not like that at all. she just doesn't want people using her and figures she should give out the first impression of being a strong independent woman who takes no to avoid snakes.

off stage: yeeun can be as real as it gets. she never hesitates to speak her mind and sometimes speaks without thinking and reaps her actions. she is very rebellious and doesn't like being told what to do. she wants to try anything once and is very thrill seeking. wanna go sky diving? yeeun's your girl. late night grave yard ouija board session? definitely count her in. club hopping and drinking the night away? she's probably doing that anyway. She's an adrenaline junkie - she agrees to anything if it's an adventure and a chance to see the great open world she can be very short tempered and moody if she doesn't get her way and sometimes her coping methods seem rather childish to others like whining when she doesn't get her way or crying over the smallest things. She perfers to say she just has a big heart, however. She's very independent, as she believes that she can take care of herself better than anyone else could. Although she would like to be warm and caring towards others, sometimes the stupidity in others gets in the way of that. She has a very low tolerence for ignorance, and isn't afraid to put someone in their place. she's quite the feminist, and believes that women should be aloud to wear whatever they want and act however they like without worrying if it's "proper" or not. 

on stage / on camera: yeeun gives off her air of confidence on stage just as she does in real life and loves all eyes being on her. she's very charismatic and flirty which is something that occasionally gets her antis from male idol fans if it looks like she's flirting with a member of a boy group. in reality, she probably isn't, she just loves the attention. yeeun can also be very sarcastic. Her sarcasm is mostly very funny, however, at times it can also be unintentionally hurtful. yeeun tends to be the comic releif of her friends, as she loves to have people laughing. Her general 'idgaf' attitude comes in handy with this, as she doesn't worry about humiliating herself and just does what she pleases. She isn't afraid to be the one who stands out and isn't about to let anyone steal her glory.

with villa members: yeeun is as loyal as she can be to the members of villa. she thinks of them as a family and would do anything for her three sisters. she gets along the best with minsun due to slightly similar pasts and calls the younger girl her best friend. god forbid anyone who s with these girls as yeeun would go from zero to one hundred real quick. she loves giving out as much advice as she can to her members and does as much for them as she can.

deep down: yeeun is just looking for acceptance. her confidence and flirty nature is a cover up as she just wants people in her life who will love her through her flaws as her mother always put the pressure to be perfect on her. Although yeeun has quite the confident exterior, under neath her thick skin she's hiding quite a few emotions. She'd rather keep things bottled up as she feels like she would just bother others if she tells them what she's feeling. she's been hurt quite a lot in her past and has difficulty truely opening up to anyone unless she considers you one of her closest friends.

TRAINEE: yeeun's trainee life was relatively normal since aomg didn't have many trainees. she enjoyed dance practice the most and as she loved being on stage she had a natural stage presence. there were times when she would feel alone as she didn't have many friends inside seoul and the friends she had from america were busy with their own lives, however her nights of partying made her forget any of her fears. if she had a bad night she would return to the aomg studios and dance until early morning and some times ended up crashing inside the dance rooms. as she was 22 when she joined aomg, her head was filled with parties and drinking which sometimes got in the way of her practice. eventually, her mindset changed after a phone call to her mother where her mother said she was going to end up just life her father. yeeun decided to not let her partying get in the way of training as she wanted to do better in life and have a stable career, her training becoming her main priority.


SCANDALS: 
"rapper junoflo spotted out clubbing with villa's yen?" | yeeun was spotted at a club with junoflo and since she was previously in one of his music videos rumors started to fly. since it was a period when they were broken up yeeun decided that no comment was the best comment. junoflo's side commented saying that they have been close since their teenage years. | true, but at the time false

"villa's yen caught with ?" | after her debut villa was invited to even more aomg and higher parties, causing yeeun to fall back into old habits. there were some nights she would stay out so late drinking that she would be hungover the next day on stage. she didn't know how she could handle being an idol with her life style and that's when an acquaintance asked her to try at a club. she fell dependent on the drug as she would have enough energy on stage and still be able to party her nights away. a fan found yeeun clubbing one night and yeeun agreed to a photo, but she forgot to check her surroundings. she was in the restroom and had white powder next to her purse disguised as makeup that of course netizens noticed. as something like this would not only terminate her career but her groups as well, aomg released a statement saying that yeeun was reapplying makeup in the restroom of the club and some of the powder spilled out. however, yeeun admitted it to being true to jay park and simon d who gave her the ultimatum of quitting the drug or leaving the group. of course yeeun chose to quit , but some habits are hard to break... | true

"villa's yeeun taking time off for health issues, or drug problems?" | yeeun eventually took a hiatus from the group for a few months to check herself into a rehab program in the states. her past drug scandals resurfaced along with proof that she had been arrested in the states for as a teenager. netizens were split about her controversy and while some were wondering why this wasn't blowing up as much as other drug scandals, others realized that those events happened when she was a teen and is now legal in california so they didn't see why it was a big deal. although yeeun and aomg didn't come out and say she was in rehab, yeeun apologized for her controversy and said she was taking a small hiatus from the group and would be in california to work on herself. | true

INTERACTIONS: juno is possibly the person who truely cares about yeeun the most. he's seen her at her highs and her lows and hasn't once left her side completely. the two complete each other nicely as he keeps her grounded and she brings out his fun loving side. the two act like rambunctious teenagers when they're together, always joking around with one another and being complete idiots. juno goes clubbing with her as much as he can when he's not working in the studio or on tours. in public they tone down the skinship but when they're alone or with close friends they're almost always holding hands or touching each other in some way. 

LOVE STORY: yeeun and juno first met at a party in california. he was that cool senior that was going to go get a doctor degree after high school but secretly enjoyed rapping and partying. the two dated for a while until yeeun started getting more and more into the party scene and he decided to break it off as he could see her losing herself. they remained close friends after their break up and it was obvious to everyone that they still had feelings for one another. juno tried the best he could to get her out of the party life style but knew you could only help a person so much and then it was up to them to help themselves. when yeeun was arrested he was actually showing up at the party she was at to give her a ride home only to see her in handcuffs. he was the only person besides emily that was still there for her through her rehab program.

after yeeun moved back to seoul juno visited her every chance he could when he was also in the country. the two started dating again as yeeun was back to her old self before partying took over her as she was focusing on college. as his rap career started taking off and with yeeun becoming a trainee at aomg, the two decided once again to put a halt on their relationship to focus on their careers. 

after yeeun debuted the two were still very close, almost as if they were dating without the actual title of a relationship. as yeeuns life started to revolve around the party scene more and more juno started to distance himself bit by bit as he didn't want to see her go down the same path as she once did, however he knew yeeun needed him to stick by her so he never left completely. he didn't want to completely leave anyway. 

with yeeun's drug scandal becoming a big issue, juno was beyond pissed when she confided in him that she did in fact do . he decided he needed to prove to her how serious he was when he said she needed to change her lifestyle as she's hurting everyone who loves her. of course yeeun responded with "how would i know who i'm hurting when no one loves me?" out of anger without thinking only escalating things. after that night juno wouldn't respond to any of her texts or calls until she proved that she had changed herself. of course, yeeun had tricked everyone into thinking she had changed when in reality she hadn't, she was just good at hiding it since she had to sneak around all of her childhood. 

the two ended up giving their relationship another shot after yeeun insisted that she was a different person and her actions were proving that she wasn't letting the party lifestyle absorb her again, however she was secretly still bringing alcohol everywhere with her in water bottles and only cut back on her habit instead of quitting it completely. when juno suspected her of doing it again her reaction was over the top and the two got into their first actual argument where there was screaming involved. yeeun realized she needed help after those events and events that caused her to loose her friendship with her group members. juno realized that he wasn't helping things with him breaking things off with her when she got bad as she would end up relapsing again. he felt like he was further proving to her that everyone in her life will eventually leave her and this time he decided to stay by her side as she took a few months of hiatus from villa and checked herself into a rehab program in the states.

What Is Your Goal now that your a Idol?: "my goal?" yeeun bit her bottom lip as she thought. "Growing up there were many singers and dancers i idolized and it gave me strength and something to strive to achieve. my goal is to be someone young girls look at and thing 'wow, i want to be someone as confident and cool as her when i grow up.'"


Is there anything that you would change given the chance about the Idol World?: yeeun smirked a bit and shifted in her seat. "besides the long schedules?" her and the interviewer laughed briefly. "i would change how we're perceived. by that i mean, we're not always perfect like fans think. we're all human, and we all have our flaws."


Do You Think Villa Will Be Compared to other groups? If So, Who and Why?: "i'm sure we will be compared to other groups, but i'm also sure villa will be able to show our true colors and many talents. people think that since we're from a hip hop label that we're going to produce all hiphop genre music like 2ne1 and 4minute, but that's not 100% true. of course i'd prefer a hiphop concept, but we are also pretty versatile musically."
