APPEARANCE Rubin might seem aloof and would be hard to talk to at first glimpse especially when he doesn't smile, but once you talk to him, you'll know he isn't hard to talk to. Rubin is known well for his charming laugh, noticeably thin figure and his fair complexion. He seems to have a thing for piercings, mostly ear piercings; he has three on his left ear, and four on the right, which explains why he owns a lot of different earrings.
FASHION Even though he keeps his style simple that doesn't mean he isn't interested in fashion because Rubin actually like it plus he likes to try different styles from time to time. He also doesn't stick to one color he has a variety of colors from the dark tones to the bright colors.

Rubin is very loyal to those who are close to him, he'll be sure to help if he can and if they needed someone to listen to their problems he'll stay and listen to everything in their hearts. Although he's faithful towards others, he hardly expects anything in return. Rubin deeply admires people who are near to him, and it shows by him acting extra clingy around them. He can be significantly protective of his belongings and loved ones to the point where he might seem obsessive. If you want an easy way to get to his bad side just damage anything he cherishes.

Thanks to Rubin's creativeness he can come up with brilliant and unique ideas. However, he also can end up with not too practical ideas, that's why he likes to ask others about their opinions a lot. Combining his imagination with sympathy, Rubin uses them to resolve many of the problems he faces. He enjoys finding the perfect solution for someone he cares about, and this is why sometimes his friends come to him when they're stuck in a problem.

When Rubin believes something is important, he pursues it with confidence that catches even his close friends off guard. Rubin gets so caught up in the passion that any obstacles that come between him and the goal is deeply unwelcome. Rubin likes to know that he is taking firm steps towards his goal, and if his routine is getting in the way he will get restless and disappointed. While open to criticism, seeing it as a tool become better, it's easy for Rubin to take it a little too much to heart.

Anyone can see that Rubin is a perfectionist. While this is a good quality, an ideal situation isn't always possible and Rubin often ignores a healthy situation believing there is a better option. The one thing irritates Rubin the most is letting down a person cause they believed in him. Rubin tends to talk about random stuff to avoid the subject about his personal feelings, this shows how much private Rubin is when it comes to his own life, talking about this and that to keep himself from having to open up truly, it's even hard for him to talk about his worries and personal problems to his close friends. Trusting a new friend can be even more challenging.

Rubin mood swings are quite unpredictable, which is why he always tries to keep them to himself so he won't burden anyone, but when he fails at controlling it he'll likely explode on the nearest thing or someone to him, but if he did control it he wouldn't be able to hold for so long, and Rubin know this so it's like that he'll go somewhere where he can be alone, so Rubin won't embarrass himself by crying in front of the others or worse hurt someone he doesn't want to.

Thanks to his emotional nature Rubin is likely to think about bad outcomes when he's under a lot of pressure which stresses him out more, and that makes him feel nervous, when that happens the tension will probably show on his face and behaviour but if anyone asked to help him he'd most likely refuse while insisting that he's okay. Rubin looks for underlying motives in even the simplest things. it's not uncommon for Rubin to lose a bit of sleep asking himself why someone did that or this, what it might mean, and what to do about it. He carries an imaginary fear that he doesn't tell to anyone but it leads him to doubt people’s intentions, and so he cross-checks everything.

BACKGROUND Rubin was born in a not so wealthy family which he didn't mind since he was too young to worry about it, but it seemed like his parents had a lot of conflicts because of the financial state, they never had a big fight but eventually when he was 7 years old his parents divorced and then he moved out with his father to his grandmother house in Hong Kong. His Grandmother adored him a lot since he was the only child, she took many pictures of him, bought him a lot of different toys and helped him adapt to his new school and friends. Apart from that, his childhood was boringly average.

When Rubin was in middle school his grandmother started noticing his love for dancing and music in general as he always tries to imitate the way the dancers and the idol groups dances, after talking about Rubin's new hobby with his father he agreed to signed him up to a small dancing school near their neighborhood as it will make him exercise instead of just playing video games at home. After a few months, his father noticed how dancing made his son more confident and soon he started to practice dancing even in his room. A year later Rubin joined a dancing competition in his neighborhood for a particular age range and there he surprised his father by taking the 4th place, deciding his son will learn more in a better dancing school he made his son join a bigger school a bit far from their housed which resulted in his son being unable to go sometimes as his father would be too busy with work.

In the next few years, Rubin joined a several competition not only in Hong Kong but also in other areas, thanks to that he met a lot of diverse people who had various dancing styles and learned a thing or two from them. When Rubin was 18, he moved to Korea to proceed his dream. to his luck, several entertainments were open for auditions. First, he applied for a small company he but unfortunately he failed the audition as they said he didn't suit the image they want. At that time SM Ent. was still open for auditions he didn't waste the opportunity and went to audition, he definitely got criticized for how much he lacked confidence when had to sing, but nevertheless, he got accepted. Rubin spent the following years trying to upgrade his dancing skills and improve his singing, and after befriending some of the trainees with him, he sometimes asks those who're skilled vocally in helping him.

TRIVIA 
Football: Rubin is a huge fan of football in general, he owns a lot of football jerseys and if he played you shall expect to see him do a lot of cool tricks.
Alcohol: Rubin is a quite weak drinker, two shots of suju are his limit. 
Skincare: Rubin own a lot of skincare and shower products, he never forgets to do his daily skincare routine no matter how much tired he is, another noticeable thing is how he has a pleasant lavender-ish smell after showering. 
One-sided love: Rubin had never dated anyone before not because he didn't like anyone before, but it's because all of his love interests before liked someone else or just plainly never thought of him more than a friend.  
Ideal type: Someone who can cook ramen well is Rubin ideal type. 
Self-blame: usually when a conflict break between his teammate he'll feel guilty for not stepping in before it got bigger and this ends up with himself scolding himself for not helping with situation earlier.
Hands: Rubin believes he has the prettiest hands in exo. 
Awkward: Rubin at befriending new people, he would rather stay alone than having to linger in an awkward silence with someone he doesn't know well.
English: never let Rubin speaks English as the only words he knows are: hi, i love you, good, bad, bye.
Obsessive: Sometimes Rubin could get a bit too obsessed with something to the point where he can hurt himself; like how he starves himself just to reach the ideal weight he has in mind. 
Self-conscious: As said before, Rubin is a perfectionist and he always feels the need to be perfect at all the time which is of course impossible. Whenever he sees a mirror, he has to re-check how he looks and always compares himself to the others unintentionally.
Fried chicken: eating a whole chicken alone is something Rubin can do easily.
Crybaby: Although it's embarrassing to admit Rubin cries quite easily, and thanks to his unpredictable mood swings and overly emotional nature that means a lot.

RELATIONSHIPS        Wu Yinghui / Grandmother                 

Rubin's grandmother is closer to Rubin more than his father because she's the one who raised him most of his life and Rubin. Rubin is used to helping her a lot with her restaurant but after she passed the place to his father due her poor health Rubin became so much more caring towards her, and he always gets worried about her. But since Rubin moved out of Hong Kong he couldn't visit her. Instead, he calls her whenever he's free to check on her and if she needed anything.

Suho plotline

Due to Suho being a native Korean speaker and has a motherly aura around him Rubin will look for Suho whenever he's struggling with something or just can't find the right words to use so he gives a kicked child look so he'll cover up for him or just help him. 

Baekhyun plotline

You might expect Rubin's personality to crash with Baekhyun's loud one only to get surprised by the fact that they get along pretty well. But thanks to Baekhyun obnoxiousness Rubin never stays alone with him for too long since Baekhyun might say hurtful things unintentionally to our crybaby so it's better for them to not stick close all the time.

China line

Since Rubin never learned Korean before he came to Korea he felt at ease when he met the Chinese line for the first time since they were the only ones who could communicate with him with no trouble they, of course, got familiar first and still the closest to him. 

EXO

Naturally, Rubin is close to all the members maybe some more or less than others but you can easily notice how Rubin sees them not just as his teammate but also as his second family. It's a normal sight to see Rubin sticking close to one of the members, or should i say cling to them?

TRAINEE YEARS 1 year and a half.
TRAINEE LIFE After auditioning for SM entertainment, Rubin got accepted even though he lacks a real vocal talent. The first few months were the hardest for Rubin because he had little to no confidence at all in his singing as he had never focused on improving it before, so when he joined SM entertainment he did expect to get scolded a lot there for his lack of the other talents beside his dancing skills. He did get yelled at a lot, but thanks to his coaches and fellow trainees there he improved a lot in the past year even though he's still far away from perfecting his singing, you can easily say he became a good singer which makes his coaches proud of him.

The trainees at SM entertainment were intimidated at first by how cold he looked to them they probably had expected him to have a chic and foul personality like anyone who judges him solely from his look, only to get surprised by how far he's from the image he painted for himself. Rubin wore an awkward expression as he introduced himself in a broken Korean, he's sure their first impression of him was terrible. His dance coach praised him a lot for his talent, yet his vocal coach couldn't relate, Rubin wasn't used to the singing routines, he was out of tune, unstable and made a lot of mistakes that probably frustrated his coach. But thanks to his fellow trainees who helped him with the practice and the language now he improved so much.
