personality —Jinwoo is very loyal and faithful to those who are close to him, whenever they need something he'll be sure to help if he can and if they needed someone to listen to their problems he'll stay and listen to everything in their hearts. Although he's faithful and generous towards others, he hardly expects anything in return for what he does for them. Jinwoo deeply admires and respect people who are near to him, and it shows differently depending on the other person, but he mostly show it by helping them whenever he could and cooking for them. Even those who far away get to experience the warm side of him from time to time as he tries to be kind to everyone, Jinwoo can empathize with others pains and sufferings which are why he tries to be kind to everyone around him. He can be significantly protective of his belongings, relationships, and loved ones. So if you want an easy way to get to his bad side just damage and hurt anything or anyone he cherishes.

 

Combining a vivid imagination with a strong sense of sympathy, Jinwoo uses his creativity to resolve many of the problems he faces. He enjoys finding the perfect solution for someone he cares about, and this is why sometimes his friends come to him when they're stuck in a problem. Thanks to Jinwoo's creativeness he can come up with brilliant and unique ideas using his imaginative powers. However, in the process he can end up with ideas that may not be too practical or may be too over-ambitious, that's why he likes to ask others about their opinions on his thoughts before doing them.

 

When Jinwoo believes that something is important, he pursues that goal with confidence that can catch even his close friends off guard. Jinwoo gets so caught up in the passion of his pursuits that any of the cumbersome obstacles that come between him and the goal he sees is deeply unwelcome. Jinwoo likes to know that he is taking firm steps towards his goal, and if his daily routine tasks feel like they are getting in the way, or worse yet, there is no goal at all, he will feel restless and disappointed. His pursuit of ideals all but defines Jinwoo. While this is a good quality in many ways, an ideal situation is not always possible – in training, in competitions, in relationships– and Jinwoo too often drops or ignores the healthy and productive situation, always believing there might be a better option down the road.

 

Due to his passion, poor patience, tendency to present himself as an ideal, and extreme privacy tend to leave Jinwoo with few options for letting off steam. He's likely to exhaust himself in short order if he doesn’t find a way to balance his ideals with the realities of day-to-day living. Jinwoo tends to talk about random stuff to change the subject when someone asks him about his personal life, this shows how much extremely private Jinwoo is when it comes to his own life, talking about this and that to keep himself from having to open up truly, it's even hard for him to talk about his worries and personal problems to his close friends. Trusting a new friend can be even more challenging for Jinwoo which explains why he takes a long time to be a close friend with someone.

 

Jinwoo could easily deceive those who see him for the first time by his big smiles and sweet talk into painting an easy-going image for himself in their minds. Only for this image to gets shattered once he gets more comfortable around them. It's definitely a challenge to get close to him as he is not only extremely private but also his mood swing are very hard o predict, making understanding Jinwoo's train of thoughts so much harder and matching it is almost impossible. The only way to get closer to him would be probably by being careful not to play in the wrong way when Jinwoo, because doing that will most likely make you end up in a fight with him and eventually in Jinwoo's bad side.

 

Jinwoo can be very temperamental, and his mood swings are quite unpredictable, which may become overwhelming for the people around him that's why he rarely let his emotions show on his face as he always tries to keep them to himself so that he won't be a burden to anyone, but when he fails at controlling it he will most likely explode on the nearest thing or someone to him, but if he did control it he wouldn't be able to hold for so long, and Jinwoo know this so it's like that he'll go somewhere where he can be alone, so Jinwoo won't embarrass himself by crying in front of the others or worse hurt someone he doesn't want to. Thanks to his emotional nature Jinwoo is likely to think about bad outcomes when he's under a lot of pressure which results in stressing him out more, and that can create highly unsettling conditions for him, when that happens the tension will probably show on his face and behaviour but if anyone asked to help him he'd most likely refuse while insisting that he's okay. Jinwoo carries an imaginary fear that he doesn't tell to anyone but it leads him to doubt people’s intentions, and so he cross-checks everything.

funfacts :-

— Hyuna: Jinwoo is a huge fan of Hyuna, he owns all of her albums and before becoming a trainee he used to go to her fan signs and meetings a lot.

— Alcohol: Jinwoo is a quite weak drinker, two shots of suju are his limit.

— Skincare: Jinwoo own a lot of skincare and shower products, he never forgets to do his daily skincare routine no matter how much tired he is, another noticeable thing is how he has a pleasant lavender-ish smell after showering.

— One-sided love: Jinwoo had never dated anyone before not because he didn't like anyone before, but it's because all of his love interests before liked someone else or just plainly never thought of him more than a friend.

— Ideal type: girls with pretty hands and shorter than Jinwoo are his ideal type.

— Self-blame: usually when a conflict break between his teammate he'll feel guilty for not stepping in before it got bigger and this ends up with himself scolding himself for not helping with situation earlier.

— Awkward: Jinwoo at befriending new people, he would rather stay alone than having to linger in an awkward silence with someone he doesn't know well.

— Obsessive: Sometimes Jinwoo could get a bit too obsessed with an ideal objective to the point where he can hurt himself in the process of reaching it; like how he starves himself just to reach the ideal weight he has in mind.

— Self-conscious: As said before, Jinwoo is a perfectionist and he always feels the need to be perfect at all the time which is of course impossible. Whenever he sees a mirror, he has to re-check how he looks and always compares himself to the other unintentionally.

— Crybaby: Although it's embarrassing to admit Jinwoo cries quite easily, and thanks to his unpredictable mood swings and overly emotional nature.

— Dark-closed places: he isn't claustrophobic, but he just hates it.

— Modeling: Jinwoo had a lot of opportunities to model and he took them all and his youtube channel did make a few clothing companies ask him to model for them.

— SNS: Since I already mentioned how he has a youtube channel you'll probably expect him to upload a lot on the freelancer's one, though not all of his uploads will be about him he'll probably shoot the others from time to time.

 

 

background — Jinwoo was born in a not so wealthy family which he didn't mind since he was too young to worry about it, but it seemed like his parents had a lot of conflicts because of the financial stat, they never had a big fight but eventually when he was 7 years old his parents divorced and then he moved out with his father to his grandmother house in Ansan. His Grandmother adored him a lot since he was the only child, she took many pictures of him, bought him a lot of different toys and helped him adapt to his new school and friends. Apart from that, his childhood was boringly average.

When Jinwoo was in middle school his grandmother started noticing his love for dancing and music in general as he always tries to imitate the way the dancers and the idol groups dances, after talking about Jinwoo's new hobby with his father he agreed to signed him up to a small dancing school near their neighborhood as it will make him exercise instead of just playing video games at home. After a few months, his father noticed how dancing made his son more confident and soon he started to practice dancing even in his room. A year later Jinwoo joined a dancing competition in his neighborhood for a particular age range and there he surprised his father by taking the 4th place, deciding his son will learn more in a better dancing school he made his son join a bigger school a bit far from their housed which resulted in his son being unable to go sometimes as his father would be too busy with work.

In the next few years, Jinwoo joined a several competition not only in Ansan but also in other cities, thanks to that he met a lot of diverse people who had various dancing styles and learned a thing or two from them. He even had his own youtube channel where he made dancing covers, collaborated with other dance crews to make dance performances and other random videos, as Jinwoo got popular for his dance skills and his good looks. When Jinwoo was 18, he got scouted after finishing his performance in a dancing cover contest, his friends who were with him at the time encouraged him knowing that he actually dreams to be an idol, but Jinwoo never auditioned as he wasn't confident in singing so for the next a few years he made sure to take a lot of vocal lessons to improve himself.

 

family & friends — 

▪ Hong Yeongja | Grandmother | Jinwoo's grandmother is closer to Jinwoo more than his father because she's the one who raised him most of his life and Jinwoo. Jinwoo is used to help her a lot with her restaurant but after she passed the place to his father due her poor health Jinwoo became so much more caring towards her, and he always gets worried about her. But since Jinwoo moved out of Ansan he couldn't visit her a lot. Instead, he calls her whenever he's free to check on her and if she needed anything.

 

My feelings are the most sincere. 

opinion on the bighit boys — Jinwoo would be lying if he said he didn't envy them even for a little bit although he knows they had to be talented to become trainees at Bighit, he's also sure that they had weaknesses and he set it a mission for himself to find them even if the flaws were in their personalities so he could try and appeal in what they lack more. This doesn't mean he would avoid them he might even enjoy the company of some of them.

opinion on the freelancers — He doesn't necessarily see the fellow freelancers in a better light instead he seems to have more neutral feelings toward them, but he'll definitely keep an eye on anyone who's close to his level at dancing so they don't get ahead of him. 

   

interview time ! 

 

"hey, please introduce yourself."  

▪ Throwing a big charming smile he starts "Hello everyone! I'm Jinwoo," he waves both hands then continues "you might already know me because i dance with a lot of dance crews before if not then i'll make sure to show everything and not disappoint you".

 

"what made you want to become an idol and why did you apply for this show?"  

▪ "Being an idol was my dream for a long time i just..." he paused before he could blurt out i was terrible at singing knowing that it'll be bad for his image then continued "...wanted to focus on my studies and help with my family's restaurant first".
 

"how long have you already trained and have you been signed under another entertainment before? if yes, how was it there and why didn't you stay there?"  

▪ "I have never trained under any company instead i signed in dancing schools since a young age and joined a lot of competitions for more experience." he stopped deciding not mentions collaborating with other crews to avoid any questions as why he didn't join them.

 

"what would you say is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?"  

▪ "My biggest strength will be of course my moves!" he glanced around for a second before laughing awkwardly " i don't think i should show it here i don't want to mess up anything! ..Oh, the weakness you said? uhh can we count not being able to act as a weakness?" he noticed the interviewer not his answer so he tried to brighten up by laughing more awkwardly.
 

"how far would you go to become an idol?"  

▪ "Since i set it as my goal i don't think anything or anyone could stop from trying to reach it," he then continued in a smaller voice but with the sweet smile still on his voice "even if it meant some.. thing will get hurt".
 

"what do you have that makes you a standout? why should we pick you for the show and not someone else?"  

▪ "Are you sure you still want me to dance for you? i really don't want to break anything here" he laughs while touching his ear in an awkward manner.
 

"that's it so far. do you want to add anything else?"  

▪ Obviously, feeling relived that this awkward torture ended but he, of course, tried not to show it "Oh.. Well then i hope you'll only see the best of me i'll surely exceed what everyone thinks of us freelancers!"

Strength —  Jinwoo is gifted with how naturally powerful his moves are and how beautiful the details in his dancing looks and joining dancing schools since an early age made his skills more solid. Jinwoo also specializes in choreographing thanks to all the times he joined dancing competitions and the times he collaborated with dance crew those made more experienced with different dancing styles. 

Weaknesses —  Although Jinwoo's singing ability isn't necessarily terrible, he isn't that good either. He could sing soft and low songs easily but any song that has high notes in it will trouble him a lot as he can't hit those notes as he wants, he always struggles with it and sometimes when he tries to reach a certain note his voice cracks a lot while practicing and might affect his performance later. Also, no one should ever make Jinwoo their leader or spokesperson as he'll definitely ruin everything thanks to his awkwardness and privateness.
