When people say that Hyunjin is Positive and Caring they're not lying, one reason behind this is because whenever something doesn't go as planned Hyunjin would always be the one to find a way to make the "atmosphere" a bit better he would usually tell the rest of the boys that "It's going to be okay" or "Don't worry everything is going to get better" and it would usually work, adding on to his positive side Hyunjin is also caring, well that's because whenever a friend or one of the boys participating in the show gets hurt or thinks "they're not going to make it" he would always be the one to comfort them, and make sure they feel better. Other than that, Hyunjin is also a funny and loyal guy, he will always try to crack up an old lame joke to cheer up people or sometimes just for fun and somehow it always seems to work. Hyunjin is also a loyal person or however you want to label it as, he always sticks by his friends whatever happens to them, he'll make sure not to leave their side. Now onto Hyunjin's negative side, one thing is that Hyunjin is usually chidlish, he sometimes doesn't act his age and this causes him to be a clumsy mess, he will always bump into things and trip on the most littlest things for example he may trip on an eraser so watch out. Adding onto Hyunjin's childish personality he is very mischievous, he will always find a way to "prank" someone or cause trouble just like a 7 year old, not only that but he is also "reckless" meaning that Hyunjin does things without thinking and this will usually cause some trouble between him and the managers who are trying to control him. Hyunin has his ups and downs but still thats what makes him unique.

background — 
Hyunjin was born to a pretty wealthy family in Daegu, South Korea considering his mother was a pharmacists and his dad being a surgeon, he also had a older brother Kang Jeongin which was older than him by 2 years. Hyunjin along with his brother attended one of Daegu's top private schools since they were considered previliged. In Hyunjin's early days he had considered wanting to do dance since most of his friends were dancers, he decided to enroll in a dance class in 6th grade year which taught mostly hip-hop and b-boying. He decided to focus more on b-boying more than hip-hop and that's what he did. Fast forward towards 9th grade year, Hyunjin was still doing dance at the same academy, he didn't consider himself as a professional but he also didn't consider himself bad. During Hyunjin's 10th grade year, he had wanted to audition for BigHit entertainment only because he thought it was interesting and wanted to give it a shot. Once Hyunjin graduated high school he auditioned and to his surprise he got in, he eventually moved to Seoul to start his training and one day he was chosen by the CEO to participate in BigHit's new survival show; "Big Shot"

trainee life at bighit — 
Hyunjin joined BigHit right when he graduated highschool although he was 18 at the time he was nervous and scared since he had to move to a whole new different city with no friends nor family living there, and also because he had to leave his family. Once he got there he settled in at the trainee dorm everyone was friendly to him and made it easier for Hyunjin to settle in, the staffs and manager who were taking care of the trainees were nice to him either; the one annoying part is that the staffs/manager would always make sure the boys left the house with a mask to make sure they're not seen, At first Hyunjin hated it having to cover his face but got used to it. Practicing wasn't that difficult for Hyunjin since he had some background in dancing, well singing and rapping however was hard for Hyunjin since he had no knowledge or background what-so-ever but one by one he slowly picked it up and sooner than later he could atleast sing and atleast rap.

▪Park Junhan | Bestfriend 

▪ Junhan and Hyunjin both met when practicing at BigHit entertainment, since Hyunjin had no friends he wanted to befriend someone so he decided to approach Junhan first, Junhan was very friendly and Hyunjin invited him to have lunch with him since that day they had become closer and closer and soon became the best of friends. 

 

▪Kang Jeongin | Older Brother

▪ Jeongin and Hyunjin used to be close, well that relationship faded away when Hyunjin moved to Seoul and started his training as a BigHit trainne, well although they do text each other once in a while but the connection they used to have felt like it wasn't there now

opinion on the bighit boys — What does your character think of the other BIGHIT trainees?
 Hyunjin really adores the BigHit boys and treats them as they're his own brothers, once he arrived at the dorm they all welcomed him and helped him settle in and guided him throughout the house and etc. 
opinion on the freelancers — What does your character think of the freelancers?
Well Hyunjin never met the Freelancers and doesn't really have anything to say about them other than that Hyunjin wishes them goodluck in the survival show; "Big Shot"

"hey, please introduce yourself."  

▪ *Hyunjin stands up gives a 90 degree bow*

"Hello my name is Kang Hyunjin and I'm 19 years old from Daegu, Please treat me well."

 

"what made you want to become an idol and why did you sign under bighit?"  

▪ *Hyunjin smiles and thinks for a split second before answering*

"Well I was a big fan of iKON back in highschool, and since I already specialized in dancing, I told myself why not give it a shot? So I went and tried out for BigHit Entertainment. The reason why I chose BigHit is because although I know they're not a big company but that doesn't prove anything, since BTS has made such huge success I trusted myself with them."
 

"do you think that you'd have the same chances as with bighit if you were signed under another company?"  

▪ *He makes a confused face, and then slowly smiles*

"Well honestly, I don't really know since I've never thought about things like that , but if I was in a bigger company like SM or YG I would definitely never have the same chances since the chances of me appearing in a survival show are really slim." 

"what would you say is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?"  

▪ "My biggest strength would definitely be my dancing, and my biggest weakness would probably be my rapping if I had to choose, but nothing else I could think of not meaning to be cocky."

"how far would you go to succeed in the show?"  

▪ "Honestly, I don't want to be cocky here, but hopefully I make it to final 9 and if I don't I'll try and practice more."

*He smiles and gives a thumbs up*
 

"what do you have that makes you a standout from all the other bighit trainees?"  

▪ "Well since all my friends told me I have this weird 4D like personality which makes me standout from the rest of all the trainees"
