i prefer receiving comments rather than upvotes or something else.
comments motivate me more to write. don't get me wrong, i like receiving upvotes, but it's different when you receive comment(s) because you'll know what they really think about whatever you've written.
I feel you! I'm not sure if it's because we've grown so big as a community that it seems awkward (?) to drop a comment now or it's just the demographics on the website has changed?? I think it's more of the first one. I had a tight-knit community of people I messaged all of the time--now it's kind of difficult to connect I think. It might also have to do with me not being on here a lot anymore either.
But 6 years ago when I first began writing here I found that my cringe-y stories even got comments from subscribers or people passing by to read. Now? I don't even know what anyone thinks of some of my stories LOL.... ;__; sadness.
It is actually not only you. And this topic has been risen up times and times again, yet our AFF community still prefer silent treatment rather than sharing their thoughts. I feel you. I really am. But I'm immune to not getting any response or reader.
