It's not new. It has happened before. When it did, I watched from a distance, gave condolences to the concerned fandom. It didn't shock me because it kept happening. But Jonghyun. 

Jonghyun is not someone I watched from a distance. Jonghyun's pure notes in Stand by me from BoF was one of the key factors in me getting into KPop. SHINee was one of the first KPop groups I stanned alongside SJ. This is not some other fandom. This is one that I belong to. Jonghyun was...is someone I adore. I never thought it could happen to me. That I would see an idol I love passing away like this. I don't think I'm being very coherent, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say. This kind of thing happened to other people, not to me. I never thought I would find myself in those shoes.

We have lost you today, but I hope you are lighting up another world like you did ours. I hope you are in a happier place now. I will miss you a lot, Jonghyun. Rest in peace. #RIPJonghyun
