Am I the only one who finds it insulting when a reader simply drops a "thank you for updating" comment, after almost every update/chapter? Like you have nothing else to say about the chapter? The characters? The STORY?! If your answer is no then WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?!

"Thank you for updating" sounds like you're thanking me for doing my job. For carrying out what I've started. I don't need a pat on the back for updating. I need a HUG. Something long enough and more helpful than a pat! (I don't know what I'm saying and if any of this is making sense. I'm just so fed up.)

I have a few readers who did this so I've unsubscribed them. If you don't have anything else to say, it's safe for me to assume you did not read my story. But why would you keep coming back after each update just to leave me the same comment? Do you know how annoying it is to see a "New Story Comment" just to see the exact same comment? I'm so sick of it since I've even given these readers a chance. I've replied to their comments to start a conversation. To see why they are interested enough to stick around but I never got any replies.

Finally, in one of my latest update I put "please don't leave me an 'update please' or 'thank you for updating' comment or I will unsubscribe you." To my surprise, the reader left something longer this time, yet decided to add "thank you for updating" after what was said. But I don't mind that at all. It's fine since now I feel better knowing they've read the chapter. But in the latest, latest update I left that note out and guess what? 

"thank you for updating" CAME BACK! So I unsubscribed the user. 

This blog is for some readers out there. Please don't leave any comments if you haven't read the chapter. I'm not saying this about anything else. Comment on the author's foreword, story summary, poster, etc, whatever you want :D But don't go to chapter one, not read it and comment "wow good!", "amazing!", or "update please"/"thank you for updating". That's just INSULTING! 

- I've had someone commented "update please" on CHAPTER ONE and there were freaking FIVE CHAPTERS up! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
