— Kira is the type of person that is like the older sister that always treats their siblings. Whether the members wanna go out to eat, buying snacks or wanna go places; Kira would make it happen. The leader and manager would scold her for always spoiling the members so she would tone it down a bit for a while. She is also the type of person that would volunteer to do something if no one else want to do it. Most of the time you would see her doing the dishes since no one else wants to do it. But more recently the leader would help her. She really looks after her members and sees them like the siblings she's never had. She loves meeting new people and most of the time start the conversation. Growing up she read a lot of comic books. Her favourite hero was Captain America and Thor. She looked up to the two but mainly Captain America due to sense of bravery and honour the character has. When she was younger she wanted to be just like him; I guess that some of that made its way into her own personality. She would play the cello in his free time and it's like she gets lost in another world when she's playing the cello or composing music. When this happens it's takes a lot to pull her out and back to reality. This also happens when she's listening to jazz music. She can also be forgetful especially when she goes to buy groceries she would always forget something. So everyone ends up writing downs what they need from the supermarket and give the list to her. She remembers when schedules are but would forget when dance practices are.

— Kira was born on the 28th of April, 1997, in Busan, South Korea. She is the only child in her family. Her father got a job offer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA so the whole family moved over there when Kira was 3 years old. Once there, they lived next door to an elderly couple who were later known as the Harrison couple. In her younger years she use to go over to their house to keep them company and play with their granddaughter Monica who was 2 years older than her. But as she grew up his parents would always fight, so she would stay over at Harrison's place more often. The elderly couple would play old vinyl records of jazz/swing music ranging between the 1920s to the 1960s which Kira grew to love. When she turned 13 years old her parents got divorced and her dad got custody over her. From middle school through to high school she would hang around with Monica. During 8th grade she and Monica enrolled to an after school academy where she learnt to play the cello while Monica learnt how to act. She met her first boyfriend at that after school academy and they dated for about 8 months when she was 16 but broke up. A few weeks later she noticed her ex was stalking her to the point it drove her crazy. So her dad filed a restraining order which kept him away from her.

In her senior year of high school while she was exploring New York City University on Open Day she met with Scott Bradlee and his group of friends. Scott pitched the idea that he was starting a group that takes current pop songs and gives them a jazz spin. Kira thought it was an awesome idea and asked to join Scott and his friends welcomed her and she really enjoyed it. She ended up doing an Art's course in Uni majoring in classical jazz music. Near the end of her second years she wanted to explore more genre of music and found that kpop was rich in different music styles so she decided to quit uni and told her parents that she wanted to try out in the kpop which they supported her. So she flew to Korea and lived with her aunt in Seoul. She tried to audition of JYP but was rejected then auditioned for Song Media which she got accepted as a trainee.

—Her favourite jazz song is 'In The Mood' by Glenn Miller. This song would always remind her of her childhood when she use to stay over that the Harrison couple's house to escape her parents fighting.
— The old Harrison couple were her neighbours but she would consider them as her own grandparents.

Trainee years 1 year & 2 months

Trainee life

— Being trained in jazz and swing music before arriving back in Korea made her get noticed by the trainers that trained the trainees. When practising her vocals a unique style shines through her singing which she was praised for. However she found that she was falling behind the other trainees when in dance practice which is why she spent most of his nights practising until she caught up with the other trainees. While training as a trainee and watching how kpop has grown. Kira thought that bringing back jazz to mainstream would give her a sense of originality and uniqueness. So she would not only compose music that would suit the mainstream media but she would find a way to add the jazz/swing background that she grew up with.

Pre-debut

— She sang and played the cello for a lot of Postmoderen Jukebox's videos back in New York while studying at University. Postmodern Jukebox is popular group that takes recent pop music and gives a vintage jazz/swing spin.

Scandals

— 2017 / true/false / Numerous articles and pictures of Kira running around the streets of Seoul. She was running away from a Caucasian guy. Later confirmed to be her ex boyfriend which she broke up about 1 or 2 years before she came to Korea and entered Song Media. Despite the restraining order he still followed her, determined to get her back. She asked her managers and the higher ups at Song Media. She even reached out to her father who was in the US to help her get a stronger restraining order so that her ex boyfriend would stay out of her life. It took a few months for it to blow over. During those months and maybe a few months after the whole incident she wouldn't leave the dorm or talk to anyone except her band members or manager.
