Fearless, Overconfident, Irreverant, Fun-loving, and Unruffled - Let it be known that Heebyul loves the "right now". Unafraid to jump into something new and enjoying the moment, the social constructs don't weigh Heebyul down. She is the first to throw off her clothes and jump into a pool if the opportunity presents itself. Is the water cold? Sure. Are some people looking away in embarassment? All the better. Heebyul doesn't have time to worry about what YOU think is right. She's far more concerned with feeling good. While she can appreciate your desire to follow social norms and minding your manners, Heebyul honestly doesn't give a damn. If its not hurting you or others, who cares? Humor and commentary that would normally make someone cringe just makes Heebyul laugh. "You do you, I do me, and we can all be having a sweet ol' time. How's that sound?"

Being so fearless and enjoying the moment, Heebyul really has a good sense to shake off the critiques and comments of others. Your opinion only matters to Heebyul if Heebyul particularly gives a damn about you. If you don't matter to her, your opinion doesn't either. Heebyul doesn't have time to be catty: you go gossip and talk about her behind her back all you want. Heebyul will be busy enjoying the attractive sights. Frivolous, Particular, Compulsive - But Heebyul is actually quite particular about how she likes things. And this opinion changes quite frequently actually. Sometimes she is too easy to drop something if it becomes boring, switching to something much more interesting at that time. And it's not something she always realizes she's doing. It's almost compulsive for her to find the next best thing. She needs that free fall sort of feeling, and what does it for her can change at the drop of a coin. She really is like a cat. One moment she's happily purring, but then off she scuttles away at the next interesting thing. And don't scartch her left ear. She doesn't like it. Only the right one, and only on Tuesday please. Heebyul does what Heebyul wants: the issue is that the want may change without notice. 

And when it comes to overindulging, Heebyul is not ashamed. If she wants that cheap ice cream, it's going to be hers. If it's a pair of beatiful red shoes, but will cost her a paycheck to get them? She gon get it. Being funloving and free is great: but sometimes Heebyul lives purely on her compulsions and her overconfidence that she can make it work out A-Okay.

 

Unruffled, Honest, and Protective, and again Irreverant, but also unfulfilled -  But Heebyul means well, especially if you are Haebyul, or someone else she's taken a shine to. If Heebyul gives a damn about you, she really gives. She's not the type to sit by and watch a guy drug someone's drink. She's the one who will get up, grab that drink, and throw it in the guy's face while leading the victim away. Heebyul has always been unafraid to make a stand and tell it as she sees it. Harkening backto her irreverance, Heebyul doesn't care. If you are hurting someone, then you are bad. And that has to stop. 

Heebyul doesn't filter her thoughts either. If she's bored, she will say so. If you are wrong, well you are wrong. Casually undermining people is her speciality really; even if she doesn't realize it. But for certain Heebyul will be honest with you. You may not like what she says, but it's honest. 

But deep down, while Heebyul loves the fun and limelight, she is finding it is not enough as she gets older. University will be over soon, Haebyul won't need her forever, so what is left? Getting married just so her parents can continue their legacy and use Heebyul as their pawn in furthering their own pursuits? Heebyul knows that life is not for her. While the money and ease of living afforded by her parents' money is great, it can't last. Because it is not HERS. Heebyul, more than anything, wants her own place. Not something her parents made for her. She wants to carve her own place (and a place for Haebyul too, she can't let their parents get their claws into her darling sister). And until she can, Heebyul just always feels a little bit empty.

BACKGROUND » Haebyul and Heebyul are rich kids, 'tis true. Their parents (well, dad) was shareholder of a big airline company and Heebyul has always known that environment of excess, the chaebol life. Perfect, except for the fact that conservative values meant they were always disregarded as girls. Two girls who wouldn't be useful for the future of the family, mostly raised by nannies, and always the troublemakers. Wherever Haebyul went, Heebyul followed. Where trouble was, Heebyul was ready to make up some story or excuse for their mischief and somehow find a way to blame it on the nannies instead. And aren't the pretty crayon drawings of flowers and dragons on the marble floor so much better? Aren't they?

Things were consistent for the duration of their childhood. Crayon accidents became vodka acidents, but the bottom line remained the same Heebyul was something of a black sheep in their family, along with Haebyul, though Heebyul fortunately, based on the assertions of her father, "had enough sense to not be too troublesome"...though there were plenty of scoldinggs, chidings, and disappointed shakes of the head towards a not so properly contrite Heebyul.  When high school ended, Hee just wanted to get away from being under the watchful gaze of her parents. So off to university she went! And Haebyul was coming with her, bye es. Hee really took her first year to determine what she wante to study, if anything. Yes, school was fun and definitely for having a good time, but realistically she needed to study. Business was boring and communications while intriguing was not her cuppa. But when she took a history of modern musical styles on a whim...yep. Thus her major is musical theory and composition. Ooh, this made her feel alive for sure.

So during their second year of university, papa Jeon made a horrible realization: he was not going to have any sons. Thus he returned his attentions to his children. And while both were....lacking, he decided Heebyul was the better choice to continue his legacy. And by legacy he meant grooming her be a perfect wife for a future son-in-law. Heebyul scoffed at the stiffs her parents tried to set her up with, and the new set of rules and constraints her fsther began to try and push upon her. At least they left her darling sister Haebyul alone. But Heebyul heard them mutter in scorn against her sister, and she's honestly had enough. If marrying some stiff would make them back off and get the sticks outta their asses, well maybe she'd deal with it. At least then Haebyul wouldn't have to deal with their scrutiny, and could live her life the way she wanted. Now, Heebyul needed to figure out how to make this whole arranged marriage thing work and not feel miserable. No biggie...

The choice to join the show came from Haebyul, who had watched the first season and loved it. Haebyul melted at the wonderful romance and, when calls for the season 2 came, was sure she wanted to try it out herself, and oh Hee wouldn't you join her?? Huh. Well, this was sure to be fun at the very least, right? And she needs to keep an eye on Haebyul.

Milk - all kinds, all flavors. In fact, if you flavor it, the sweeter the better. She has a definite sweet tooth.

Hard Liquor - Pshaw. Pass on those colorful, fruity drinks. Give Heebyul a shot of tequila, gin and tonic, or bourbon on the rocks. She loves herself a fine, well crafted liquor.

Electronic Music - The best to lose yourself to in the clubs. She is also actively pursuing a hobby of remixing and creating her own beats on her own. A Heebyul with a pair of awesome headphones and a good thrum of bass is a happy Heebyul.

- Heebyul can party like no other (sans maybe Haebyul). She is down for it. And can power through a hangover like no other (thank you early morning classes). And if she's around, you can be certain your time will not be boring. Heebyul hates boring, and will make her own fun when no one else is there with it. Add in Haebyul? Let the chaos begin! But fun chaos mind you.

- Organized Chaos - Wow. Okay. Your room is a mess. How do you function? Heebyul knows where her chaos is. Even if it's a mess, she knows her notes are under the pile of laundry, her bra is probaby under the pillow, and her vodka better damn well be in the freezer, Haebyul. 

- Master of the flirt - Heebyul loves to tease and flirt. She gets great enjoyment out of it, even if it's not going to lead anywhere. It's fun, it's harmless (usually), and she can work up someone so fast without even having to touch them.

- Drinks - Heebyul loves her drinks, and knows what kind to get for you. Tell her what you might like alcoholwise, and she will get you something you'll love. Hey, she's had lots of practice with Haebyul!

 

- Music - Heebyul studies musical theory, and has found a real love for music and its components. She is especially fond the creation process, and if there's one topic you can draw her into, it's this. She secretly has been practicing making her own music on her laptop.

- Don't let this child cook for you. Ever. It's fortunate that Heebyul is well versed in the takeout method of eating, because she would proably starve otherwise. She is learning to make proper ramen though. Slowly. And with much effort. It's really just comical how bad she is, and Heebyul is aware enough to give fair warning to anyone who wants to even try her cooking.

- No touchy! - Heebyul is flirtatious, but doesn't really do the whole kissing and physical contact thing. Sure, she'll dance and have a good time with you. That touch is okay because it's all in good fun. But try to makeout with her? Oh hell nah boy/girl, back off. If you are not well acquainted with Heebyul's particular way of showing affection, you might just consider her a tease.

 

- MessyAF - lord she is a disorganized ball of chaos. Even if Heebyul may know her chaos, others don't. They just see chaos. Messy piles of chaos. And sometimes even Heebyul, despite proclaiming she knows her chaos...doesn't remember putting that there. Oh hell.

 

- Heights - Heebyul loses her cool when confronted with heights. They terrify her, and she can't tell you exactly why honestly. Her heartrate increases, her knees feel weak, and she begins to basically hyperventilate if forced to be up high (note: not normal heights like going up some stairs, etc. Rollar coasters, sky diving, things like that.)

- Extremely protective of Haebyul. Nuff said.
 

trivia » 

- Heebyul while flirty, doesn't really kiss and intiate physical affection right away. You know you're really in when Heebyul starts hugging you affectionately. Arguably that is far more important than her right away kissing you. And if she's kissing you? Hoo boy, you are in good!

- Heebyul tends to keep Haebyul in her line of sight. No, it's not because Heebyul is insecure. She is trying to make sure someone doesn't try any funny business with her darling sister you s....and maybe it is a security thing. Shht!

 

- She can totally tie a cherry stem with her tongue. 

 

- Heebyul had a nice boyfriend at one point in high school. And then the er cheated on her. Aside from that, Heebyul has had off and on boyfriends (and a secret girlfriend) but none for longer than maybe a month or two. Either they get boring, too complicated, or try to get in her pants prematurely. Nope.

the reason you applied » Heebyul watched the first season avidly with her sister and was a fan.  She's never really thought the idea of love should be used so flippantly: she breaks it off as soon as she knows nothing will come of it. But here comes Haebyul wanting to find love, and mayyyyybe Heebyul sort of bought into it. Heebyul is here to find an escape from her overbearing father, and you know what? Sure, she's a bit of a romantic and wouldn't mind meeting someone here. She's a realistic romantic at heart.

 

strategy » Strategy? Come in and have a good time. Confidence is key people. Strut in being equal parts stunning, sociable, and carrying herself with a coy grin. And long, gorgeous legs. Don't forget those. And when her own personal charms fails? Well, did you know she has a twin sister? Oh the twin factor makes everything that much better.

  Heebyul likes him quite a bit. He's fun, he's a good club buddy, he'd be the guy she'd hang out with all night. But frankly she sees him as a little too boi, and Haebyul seems to like him. So watch out Changkyun: Heebyul has her eye on you.

• "Oh! You're Min Yoongi! You were the grumpy, will he won't he one last season!" Heebyul says excitedly, not having any malice in her words despite their conotation, "oh, right! Jeon Heebyul. Pleasure to meet you."

"Why do you think you need this program to find love? Is there a reason you couldn't find love on your own?"

• "Finding it is not the problem. I mean, there was that guy that took me to the expensive bbq plsce, but he was boring and only wanted to get in my pants. So I passed. Ah, but then there was that foreign prince I ment in school. He was sweet, but foreign prince stuff and all that, and I am not about that life. So I passed. And then that guy 2 months ago. Supposedly a producer. Just wanted to get into my pants. Ugh, producers. Why re they such as-"

  "Right, right. As I was saying, finding "love" is not the problem. It's finding someone to keep!"

• "I would think they worked hard for it. Daddy always worked so hard, was never home, and we always had everything." Heebyul hums a moment later, looking unconvinced at her own words, "But how true is that, really?"

"Any hopes or dreams for the future?"

• "Hmm," a thoughtful hum and a tap on her chin with a well manicured nail, "I've got it pretty good, you know? Maybe not married to a stiff. That'd be nice."

"Oh right... did you watch season 1?"

• "Every day it came out!" Heebyul beams, "I had my favorite couples for sure! And Jungkook was an idiot for losing Miso! What is even wrong with him? But how cute were Hoseok and that one girl? Ah, and my favorite pairing was-oh, nevermind," she smiles sweetly at Yoongi, all too knowingly. 

"Okay, that's it... why are you looking at me like that? You want to tell me something else?"

• "Ahhh this is exciting!" Heebyul looks like she's ready to jump up from her seat and get right to it, "oh, right. Have you seen or talked with Hae yet? Yes, twin sister, looks just like me, flaming red hair. Got this lost puppy look about her? Maybe too eager to follow strangers?"
