Personality:
Xiao Wen is prim and proper, always calm under any situation and is able to keep her poise under pressure. She's someone who was taught to always keep her pride and dignity, and so, is quite stubborn and never backs down from a fight. Although she is always poised and graceful, Xiao Wen is actually quite bratty and somewhat conceited to the point of slight narcissism. Maybe this is brought upon because of the endless compliments and praises she always receives about her 'Doll-like' looks.

Despite her princess-like attitude, Xiao Wen is still the queen of being a two-faced fake. Her onscreen personality is very different from her offscreen attitude. When the camera is on, she's all smiles and rainbows and sunshine. Xiao Wen naturally takes the role of "the pretty face" even though she's not actually the most beautiful out of the group, she isn't even center face. But Xiao Wen is a natural when it comes to taking the spotlight, acting like a sweetheart and almost angelic. Even though she's quite poor in Korean [though she does, at times, uses this to her advantage], she makes up for it by always giving the media something to think about.

Off the camera though, she does an almost 180 degree change. She's still the acting pretty face, but she drops any sort of 'sweetness' she has in her. Xiao Wen's inner bratty-princess comes out and shines. Although, she does have every right to be. She's talented, she's pretty, she's smart and she has that air of confidence around her that makes her seem practically untouchable. Xiao Wen is kind of distant from most of her group mates, whether it's because of her lack of knowledge in the Korean language or she simply doesn't like them, it remains a mystery to most.

Beneath her haughty and confident facade though, lies a very lonely girl. Even though she's quite talkative, she doesn't actually talk a lot about herself, not about her family, nor what she likes and dislikes. Xiao Wen always just gives her opinion on things but never fully tells what she feels about it. When talking to others, it's mostly all about "I think" and "I know" rather than "I feel". Underneath her untouchable exterior, there is a sort of insecurity she has in her that she'll forever be left alone. In a way, she craves for attention - whether on screen or off screen, she is always creating some sort of scene; both good and bad. In a sense, Xiao Wen is just someone who wants to be appreciated.

Habits;

Happy: Talks non-stop on whatever made her happy to anyone who would listen.
Angry: Will not talk to anyone at all, even if the cause of her own anger is herself. At times, tends to hurt herself as well if things get too big.
Sad: Keeps a poker face on until the end of the day or at least until she is left alone where she'll eventually cry by herself until she's okay.
Nervous: Drums her fingers on the surface of anything. When it comes to her fear though [being enclosed in a small space], Xiao Wen hyperventilates.

Relationships;

Family Background:
Xiao Wen was born in a prestigious household in Shanghai, China as an only child. She was raised by maids and butlers at her beck and call, with her parents only appearing during mandatory or ego-boosting events such as Xiao Wen's graduation or parent-teacher meetings. She has always been practically alone at home [if she can even call it that-], and thus, learned to live on her own [somewhat - she calls on her maids to do most housework]. Xiao Wen's family owns a popular cafe chain named Red Mango, which is now also thinking of setting up a branch in Korea now that Xiao Wen is there. Their family practically revolves around money - always thinking about cash that will only go to waste and that won't probably ever use. Xiao Wen grew up without the warmth of a family, and thus, quietly seeks refuge in her friends by being so bratty.

Character's Background:
Xiao Wen was raised as the perfect little princess, and so, had to learn as such. After a certain age [at around 12-13], she was appointed to do/learn about most art-related hobbies such as dancing, playing an instrument [she picked the violin], and singing. She couldn't say she enjoyed learning everything, but it certainly helped her a lot. She had a pretty face and an above average IQ, with talent she'd be the complete package.

Family Members;

Dad: Qiang Yuan | May 4, 1959 | CEO of their own cafe chain, Red Mango | Yuan is a hard working father who does his best for his only daughter, Xiao Wen. He is the silent yet strong type. He lets his wife do all the talking for him, however, it is clear that he still calls the shot for everything.
Mom: Li-Qiang Fei Yin | April 5, 1968 | COO of Red Mango | Fei Yin is somewhat a money-hungry woman, although she did marry Yuan out of love, the fortune she got along with it certainly was a plus point. Fei Yin is naggy, strict, and is an idealist. She's quite insecure amongst her peers because she had come from quite a poor background, unlike most elites around her.
Siblings: N/A [only child]

Best Friend: Wy Yuen | November 11, 1986 | Mathematics professor | Yuen is quite boyish when compared to Xiao Wen, and when looked at only from a physical aspect, they are quite different. Whereas Xiao Wen is a princess, Yuen is the commoner. This does not stop their friendship though as behind those different features, they are quite the same, sort of both sides of the same coin. Yuen is very quiet, often choosing to stay silent and intimidating; completely honest unlike Xiao Wen's fooling facade.

Friends: Wang Fai | Shao Li Zhu [All are her friends back in China, she doesn't really have too much Korean friends] || Ze:A's Kevin Kim

Lover;

1) Im Woong Jae [Im Siwan] || December 1, 1988 || Siwan, much like his appearance, is quite feminine and frail. He tends to do a lot of talking though, especially to his more closer friends [i.e.; Hwang Kwang Hee]. Truthfully, he doesn't get much spotlight when he is in the group and tends to crave for attention. He usually does this by boasting, most especially about how smart he is and how he was a former engineering student. He's very sweet and kind of sensitive though, always emitting an air of purity around him. || Friends. To what extent however, remains a mystery. They usually bring about a very sibling like relationship as they are quite alike [although it irritates Siwan to no end on the fact that Xiao Wen is actually older than him].

2) Kim Ryeowook || June 21, 1987 || Ryeowook is very unpredictable, especially when with his groupmates. He turns from crazy hyper to seemingly innocent and pure. Ryeowook treats women no different from men, especially those he is close with. He likes to have fun and just smile a lot, being upset is not an option with him. He generally takes the role of a mother though, and becomes naggy and overly-concerned when it comes to his friends' health. || Complicated. They aren't dating, but they aren't exactly just friends either. They've only truly met once or twice and had gotten closer through e-mails and texts.

3) Yoon Doo Joon || July 4, 1989 || Doojoon, despite his tough and masculine appearance, is actually quite the sweetheart... and a dork. He's very responsible and leader-like, as he should be - having to manage 5 other rowdy guys. At times, he might come off as conceited or lazy, but Doojoon is actually very hardworking and caring. He has a tendency to think about himself but never hesitates to think about others as well. || Strangers. However, Xiao Wen always mention his name when people ask her about her ideal type ["Someone... manly and cool like Beast's leader, Doojoon."]

Classified;

How'd you get into A Entertainment?: Xiao Wen was originally scouted for her looks before a dance competition was held in her school back in China. After the scout saw her dance though [she was part of a dance troupe that entered the competition - albeit they didn't win], the scout was convinced that she was idol-material.

Position: Lead dancer, sub-vocalist, acting-leader [a.k.a., sub-leader]

Persona:  China's Little Godess

Favorite Sunbaenim: Han Young Ji | G
Why? Because G is the maknae and Xiao Wen has a soft spot for kids. G looks very kid-like and innocent [to her] and so, she automatically took up a 'noona' role.

Stage Name: Vaness [English name]
Extras: Nothing
