Super Junior's Shindong opened up about his weight gain.

On the October 30 airing of MBN's 'Flying Girl', Shingdong visited the home of his close friend and actress Choi Yeo Jin. While eating Korean BBQ together, Shindong revealed, "There's something that people don't know. The reason why I didn't reveal myself to the press at the time of my enlistment is that I had gained a lot of weight. I didn't want to be captured on camera."

He then revealed, "I weighed 116kg (256lbs)."
