ELABORATION —
lets start off with the good parts about woori. she's very intelligent for her age. she's always been a fan of knowledge and wisdom. if there's the slightest chance that she'll gain knowledge, she's all for it, especially when it involves yoosol. ever since yoosol made her way into woori's life, woori has been very involved in hopes to learn how to be a better parent for her. she's become a master observant over the past few years. learning little by little how to be the right parent for yoosol, whether it be learning her quirks or watching other mothers operate. woori is patient when it comes to yoosol. it had taken a while before the girl opened up to her, like if she'd know something. regardless, woori waited, and she gave all of herself to without a doubt to woori. whatever it was that the girl needed, woori provided to the best of her abiliites, she became selfless. woori tries her best to be everywhere at one time. she's not the best at keeping her grades up, but that's besides the point. she's young enough to be that active and she's got enough energy to go back and forth between school, meetings, yoosol's pre-school and cram school. with that being said, it's not new that almost everybody seems to know who woori is; "the girl who showed up with that baby", or "the stupid girl who adopted that baby". woori rises above the rumors and back talking. she keeps to herslef and to the people who actually support her and her decisions, and that happens to be quite a lot of people. being a mother, she's learned how to better her social skills. people talk, and she's learned to voice her opinions and concerns too. people would even describe her as a very out-going person with how talkative and optimistic she is. and it's no wonder why people treasure her friendship too. she can see the best in people and all the hope they have for a better future.
on the flip note, woori can also be very stubborn when it comes to certain situations or decisions she doesn't like. because of this trait in particular, it makes her a stern or firm mother and a very tough debate opponent. it isn't often that she get's angry or looses her temper, but there are instances when she will become steely. In moments like these, she will make it her absolute priority to win the battle, or watch it blow up in her face. being a teen, in high school does not make it any easier. over the past few years, she's had to build up an entirely new skin to be able to walk into school with a smile. underneath however, is a struggling student, hoping not to mess up the next step. she isn't one to stress out often either, but sometimes things just pile up and she can't help it. woori becomes very emotional in times of stress (which would be anytime exams, projects, important events come up where she has to put her all into it), which will either end in flames or snow (in other words, she will either say something she doesn't mean, or the stress will get to her enough to break her momentraily). since she's also still a high school student, there are times when she's always going back and forth with things, that she's very unorganized. misplaces things very easily, luckily for her she's got people to help her out or she'll remember when she least expects it. she is naive and ignorant to what it takes to care for a baby. she's got much to learn because of her age; however, she does seem to be doing the best she can as she's open to learning from the world around her. and since she's aware that she's got a lot to learn, it also makes her terrified and insecure about taking nex steps with yoosol. being commented on about something she's doing or isn't doing really gets to her, regardless if she speaks up about it or not. the only difference is that she doesn't let it get to her entirely, becase it's not easy raising a child, it's all about trial and error.

BACKGROUND + CURRENT EVENTS —
• im woori was born on april 24, 1999 in seoul, south korea to jayoung and kyumin. the pair was out for a date, they didn't expect baby woori to come into the world, as she wasn't due for another week and a half. woori just couldn't wait though so she was born in seoul, the city of wonders. when they were released from the hospital, the family went back to their home in insadong. it wasn't a large house, but it wasn't small enough to be crowded. jayoung and kyumin had seperate ways of raising woori. jayoung wanted her to be strong, and independant like her; while kyumin raised her with much love, support and intelligence. at the time, both parents were struggling to start up their line of business. they were hemorrhaging too much money and not enough work was being done. it was a very stressful time for the family, and they were forced to move from their family home to an even smaller appartment. nobody was happy at this point in life, but they had to make it work for at least a year, so they'd get back mst of the money they'd lost, for a hope at a better life in the future. when time came to send woori to school, they decided on a public school. it would teach her to be humble, and to make friends.
in school, woori was always very talkative, and out-going. she learned quickly that she loved learning, and although it was tough at first, she quickly advanced in studies. that's probably the thing that followed her throughout her life. fast forwarding a decade, through her intelligence, she gained various friends who kept high grades too. they had already decided that they were going to rely on their knowledge to get them places in life. they were people she knew would never trade her in, and would always be there for her. to woori, those were people she'd never let go of. overall, woori was the type of person who would go straight to school and come back home to do her homework. she didn't see the need to party or attend them. her mother had instilled that as long as she'd gotten the grades, she'd be able to do what she wanted in the future...so what benefit did partying give her? she'd rather be at cram school. to put it lightly, woori was always in over her head when it came to real life decisions and things in regard to her life. after all, she was still a child. her parents were even hesitant to allow her to return to seoul for a university tour. seeing as she had the grades, and jayoung had encouraged her to reach the stars, they let her go along with the group of friends they trusted. at the time, woori was fifteen. she still had a few years to get to university, but it was very important that she made her choice, and that meant visiting universities. fortunately, most visits went by well. but there was one in particular that she'd never forget.

after their tour at the seoul arts university, the group split for lunch. woori stuck around outside to make a quick call to her parents to let them know she was still okay, and that she would be heading home after lunch. before she ended the call, she swore she could hear rustling near by and told her parents quickly that she'd call them as soon as they were taking off. woori followed the sound of the noise into the alley way, where she found a bundled up baby in a trash bin. at first, woori was shocked to find the baby like that. in fact, who in their right mind would do this to a baby!? her first instinct was to pick it up, and take it to get checked. before she left the area, she looked around for any hints. something that would help her identify why or who had done this, but she'd come up dry. woori rushed off to the nearest urgent care unit and used her reamining money to pay for a quick check up for the child. she was more releived to know that the baby was okay, but one thing was for sure...she couldn't leave seoul without trying to find out who this baby belonged to. but in order to begin, she needed help. she called her friends who'd come with her, and her parents. woori wound up having an argument with her parents about it. woori could not believe that her parents didn't want to help her. it infuriated her to no end, how they'd just abandon this baby girl. no matter. woori continued to search far and wide for the babies mother and father. however, even after five days, there was no sign of either. for five days, her parent's (well at least her mother) hadn't spoken to her! how dare they--
on the seventh day, kyumin traveled down to meet woori to "reason" with her. woori stood her ground, and kyumin, seeing the determination in his daughter, helped her, despite what jayoung wanted him to do. this was his daughter after all. she had been clueless as to what to do with this baby, but she wasn't going to let go of her. she found her, so woori believed that it was fate. she had to be the one for this baby since nobody else would be. kyumin arranged things for the baby at the social security office, such as registering her into the systems and requests for birth cirtificates, and other important documents. although woori was young, kyumin fought for custody to be woori's and her's alone. he could see how much woori wanted this. it took a couple more days for woori to get everything settled, but once she did, she was hauled back home to face the wrath of her mother.
several months later, even jayoung begins to warm up to yoosol. but jayoung doesn't stop pushing woori to be the best. she makes sure woori is on her toes, that she's on top of her grades, and is being a good mother. regardless, even though she was tough, she was the person woori needed going through the fire everybody gave her once she came back to school. nothing was easy, it was like a wildfire spread through the school. people talked, and they said things that hurt. woori didn't want to say anything about it, but when it was too much she blew up at her mother, and that's the moment her mother knew that she was on the verge of giving up. jayoung was able to put woori back into gear. and just like that, she rebooted, started all over again, until the next wave would break her again.
today, woori is still trying to juggle being a mother, school, school work, and cram school, along with yoosol's school things that go on.
RELATIONSHIPS —
• parents - im jayoung and im kyumin ( 46 and 48, respectively ) - business owners - mom's personality: stoic, observant, practical, independant, honest ; dad's personality: humble, wise, kind, caring, selfless
- while jayoung is more stern and firm with woori, she only does so to make sure woori has everything she could ever wish for. she doesn't want to see woori fail, not even as a mother. so even though she pushes her daughter she does it so that she can learn and grow as a person. if woori fails, she will fail as a parent. when it comes to kyumin, he is the softer, more understanding kind. he's always there for his daughter, even when her mother isn't. as opposed to jayoung, woori always goes to her father when things come up, or when she needs to be talked up or down. she trusts him with her life. her parents now make enough money after stabalizing their business and making several chains throughout korea. jayoung now send woori and yoosol money at least twice a month, or whenever they need it.
• best friend - gloria tsung (17) - student- playful, extrovert, bright, intuative
- gloria was one of the first few people that woori met in school. she was ranked number one in the student body with her grades. she was somebody woori looked up to, idolized almost. instead of calling an all out war against her, she went up to her and begged for gloria to help her get better academically. they shared strategies, and theories. it became a regular thing, and past all the school work, they even started to become friends. they liked each other skin deep enough to be friends. and she's one of the people who stuck around and encouraged her to raise yoosol.
gloria pops around a lot, since they attend cram school together, and like any other teen, she likes to host parties, and attend them. she's the friend that encourages woori to attend them too, but woori rejects the offer most of the time since she has to take care of yoosol. they're the kind of friends who share EVERYTHING with each other, they don't spare the dirty details either. "just lay it on flat girl."
• close friend - yu, youngmin (20) - university student/sales associate- quiet, observant, mysterious, random, quirky
- woori met youngmin when he was still in highschool. he was two years her senior, but they didn't seem to mind. they had an on-and-off sort of relationship since they hardly saw each other, but once he graduated, he became a lot more free, and able to see her. they never officially got together for unknown reasons, but remain good friends.
• close friend - amudee chaison "son" (18) - student- stoic, adventurous, loquacious, active
- son is a friends she made through cram group. at first, he was trying to upstage both gloria and woori. he couldn't even understand why gloria and woori weren't competing either...it was strange to him. however, after talking to the two, and getting more of an insight, he realized he didn't really have friends the way they had each other. they figured this as true and invited him to study with them. over the years, he grew more thankful and more open with them. together they're like the three musketeers. attatched at the hip.
• friend - dokgo joo (24) - writer/co-founder of bliss- you know her better than i do~
- woori first met joo after moving into the house together provided for them. it was a complete wreck. woori knew that joo must have thought she was "the wors mother" but, that wasn't important. she was here because she needed the help. "hey. i'm im woori, it's a pleasure to meet you.i appologize in advance for all this...i'm a high school student, i'm missing a lot just to be here right now...so is yoosol. i'm trying my best, so if you ever have anything to offer, i'll hear it, openly and gladly."
throughout their time in the house together, woori looks up to joo for being a mother of not only one, but two. she knows it must have been hard on her, since only one was a struggle for her. she's constantly looking toward joo, picking up things from her. sometimes, becoming a thorn in her side, but over time, she comes to love joo as a friend.

TRIVIA —
• the story of rufus // rufus is a plush bunny that yoosol's had for as long as she could remember. it's her buddy, her pall, the friend that's always there. she'd go absolutely crazy if he were to go missing. the story behind it was rather simple. when woori had found her, she'd taken her to a check up, and picked up something for her afterwards, so she wouldn't feel lonely. it was her first childhood toy/plush. her best friend.
• aegyo // yoosol is a very big fan of aegyo and cute things in genral, so it's not much of a surprise that she does aegyo often. she's also learned that she can get past situations or get what she wants by using aegyo on her mother.
• foods // pastries are her favorites, but they're not very healthy. she's a fan of italian (such as spaghetti, ravioli, and pasta), however, japanese food is also high on her list. she likes playing with the mochi, whenever she has some, and ice cream gives her brain freezes like all the time because she eats it too fast. yoosol eats every three hours.
• drinks // the only drinks she fancies are water, tea, lemonade, cool-aid, etc (things that don't carry caffeine. (such as soda, coffee, etc). yoosol also likes bubble tea, because she loves chewing on the pearls.
• yoosol writes with her right hand, she also has perfect vision up until this point in her life.
• outfits // yoosol loves matching with her mother when it comes to clothing. when they go shopping, she's always asking for an outfit to match her mommy's. woori can't deny her that.
• attention // when woori is busy and yoosol wants attention, she starts throwing tantrums, and blowing raspberries (which woori hate's by the way). it works like a charm though. *wink wonk*
• distractions // woori raised yoosol to play outside as opposed to picking up the phone/tablet or watching tv. that's why she's pretty active, just like her mother. she tends to question woori why other children prefer watching tv or videos on their mommies phones, when they could be outside enjoying the sunlight.
• eating // yoosol is a messy eater. woori just doesn't know what it is, but even if it's a meal that has no possible way of being messy, it will end up being messy. "yoosol, i don't understand how you did this...you're like an artist...but with food".
• tired // yoosol cries...ALOT, when she's tired. in order to calm yoosol down, woori has to take her for a stroll in her stroller until she falls asleep. another way to calm her down is to tuck her in (woori has to get into bed with her), and sing her to sleep...although, that's not AS effective as taking a stroll.
• waking up // when she first wakes up, yoosol is like a statue. she won't speak and she won't move, instead she'll just give you a blank stare as if she was trying to figure out what is happening and where she's at. sort of half-awake.
• school // although yoosol has a mother that excells in school, she doesn't like it all that much. she's pretty smart, but she doesn't want to be wrong, so most of the time her tutor thinks she still has a lot to learn.
• bento box lunches // she will not leave home without her mother's homecooked bento box lunch. it's like a good charm for her, and it gives her the strength to go on and to be smart like her mommy.
• mommy // yoosol loves being around her mommy. if there's a chance she can bring her mommy to school, she will. if there's a chance she can skip out on school to be with her mommy, so be it. she's a mommy's girl.
• daddy // (this will be explained into more detail in the love interest section)
• milk // coconut and hazelnut milks are the only ones she drinks.
• animals // yoosol is fearless around animals. even when they're ten times her size, that's somethign to look out for when you're at a zoo or in the wilderness...
• scoldings // when woori scolds her, yoosol gives her a blank face, and crosses her arms. it makes woori even more mad, and she storms off before she says something totally wrong. she doesn't know where yoosol picked it up, but she's got to change that.

RELATIONSHIP — (a lot of what you need to know about her is listed in her trivia, so please excuse the lack of info in this section. i didn't want to repeat things. )
Yoosol is like an adventurer. She's curious, and is always looking to see what's around the cat. Much like a feline, she retracts upon meeting new people. It takes her a while to get used to somebody. However, once she does, she almost resembles Woori in personality. She's obedient, kind and considerate with new people. She idolizes her mother, and never once questioned the fact that she's missing a father. It's never really mattered to her because her mother's love is all she's ever had, and all she needs at the moment.
yoosol is a striaght up momma's girl. she has woori in the palm of her toddler hands. she deosn't get EVERYTHING she want's though, because woori doesn't want her to be spoiled, however if yoosol really wants it, she has to work for it. and if it's something yoosol needs, there is no hesitation to get it. since they're both in school, they sit together to do homework. its a rule to do their homework before anything else.
