appearance.  Edelle has all the Filipino features which makes sense since she isn't any sort of Korean. She has a petite body and a small figure. She stands at 164cm and 48kg. She has a tan complexion that is similar to EXO's Kai. How tan she looks can depend on the lighting. If she's out in the natural sunlight she would appear more tan, but if it's at a photoshoot the photographers would makeher a bit more whitewashed to fit into the Korean beauty standards. She has a few moles from being in the sun all the time when she lived in the Philippines, but are rarely seen because she does cover them up with her clothes and make-up. She used to have dark brown hair, but she recently dyed it to a natural black. 

She has a small face and a big set of doe eyes so she has a more cute appearence which doesn't really match with her sassy fiery personality, which will be explained later.

personality.  Edelle has always been passionate in what ever she wats to do. As soon as she walks into the room, you're mistaken by her cute and soft appearence, but as soon as she starts practicing and gets in her zone you know that she means business. it's hard to see someone very passionate about something at her age, but she just wants to out 100% into everything and anything to do. Her passion can be felt whenever she's practising and performing. Also, now that she has previous experience performing in front of people, she has a charisma that can't be overlooked. As soon as she's on the stage that just makes the crows engaged into what she's saying/doing. She wants to make sure that her part will stand out in a positive way. However, Edelle is still a 19 year-old turning 20 so she likes havig her fair share of having fun. She is Fiipino and despite sticking to the stereotypes, Filipinos are known to be the loudest and ahhpiest Asians. When she's not in the studio she's probably hanging out with her friends and when the mood is awkward she would probably be one of the first people to up the mood by singing outloud to the songs on the radio if they're in a van or she would say a witty one-liner. Say if the members would have a mini-diss battle, Edelle would say the most savage things, "like you know I have more followers on SNS than you?" and the girls would be extra because it's becoming from someone who looks like she couldn't hurt a fly. So Edelle's sassiness can't be ignored, she also knows her boundaries and limit her savagness to a 5 from a scale from 1-10.

Also, being charismatic doesn't happen naturally for some people and Edelle is one of them. Between comebacks/activities Sorn would've spent majority of her time to perfect the dance, improve her vocals and to even more sure her expression were on point. She would also seek the instructors input to ask if she's good. Sometimes the members worries about Edelle's perfectionist ways because she would get stressed about the smallest things she would notice about herself during practices. However, Edelle claims that when she sweats it's for the fans to know she worked hard for a better image. In other words, she doesn't listen to their request to take it easy, because to Edelle taking it easy is like taking it lazy. She admits that she can be a bit too stubborn but she would put it in a way that if she does something that she thought was good, but it failed she would learn from it.Also because she's the only full non-Koean blooded member (Idk if this is true), that can leave her vulnerable in a bunch of situations. She doesn't know much about the proper Korean etiquette, if she crosses her legs during an interview, she would get some backlash for being rude. In which she didn't know that was rude, because she wasn't raised that way. If she's with the girls she would be more comfortable around them because they would correct her, but in interviews she would keep quiet because she wouldn't want to say something unintentionlly and offending someone. When she's not unstage performing to her hearts contents, if she has a photoshoots with the members she would feel discouraged. Because she isn't pretty as them and when the final product would be released she would barely recognize herself because let's be obvious whitewashing is real in SK and she would always feel bad about her appearence and would feel bad for beinging thegroups visual down.

background.  Let's get the obvious out of the way, Edelle was born in the Philippines by full blooded Filipino parents, however Edelle's aprets divorced when she was only 4 years old and her father won custody of her. So Edelle was definitely a daddy's girls,  since she never really knew her mother that well. During her childhood, Edelle was always a happy child who would always like to play around the house with her friends, dad and even by herself. Her father ran a karaoke lounge back in the Philippines so music has always been Edelle from the start. When her friends were done school, they always go to her dad's karaoke bar and have fun. She loved going to the karaoke bar and singing from song to song, it always brought her joy knowing that there was a song for anything that you were feeling in the moment. 

When Edelle was 10 years old (2008) her dad was engaged to a Korean women. At first, Edelle was uncomfortble that she wouldn't be the only girl in her dad's life anymore and it took a long time to accept it. When she came around to realizing that her dad was genuinely happy with her soon-to-be-mom she accepted that it was okay to not be his babygirl anymore. After three years, her step mom was out of work and the karaoke lounge was going out of business her parents decided that it was time to pack up and move to SK where it would be easier to get jobs for both of them. Of course, Edelle opposed to the idea,but in the end she had not power and moved there after all.

Edelle tried to be optimistic about livingin a new country, but it all happened so fast. She had to learn basic Korean in a matter of three months before they permenatley moved there. She went to a high school for foreigners, where she kept learning the language and still trying her best to study. Edelle wasn't a good student ebcause the Filipino and Korean school system was very different, and Edelle was behind for most of her subjects and it didn't help that she was very different looking compared to other students and she was bullied because of her dark complexion. She didn't enjoy SK at first and her step mom felt like she was responisble for it, but her dad told her the secret to making her happy. Her mom cheered Edelle up by hooking up the karaoke machine to their home TV and she could sing in her hearts content in which grew them closer as they both sang to their favourite songsthat night (and got a noise complaint the next day by the neighbours).

She started to dream about becoming a singer again, because she wanted to see one of her songs in a karaoke screen and be a song that could comfort someone. Edelle brushed up her Korean by singing Korean songs and her father saw his babygirl's smile again. Also a proud smile from her step mother knowing that Edelle and her were getting more close. Edelle started to audition for companies, it was hard to get signed because there were bare companies tht recruited a Filipino singer under their roster. (A/N which I don't understand 'cause isn't Thailand not that far off from Philippines. I don't know I almost failed geography). BUt that didn't stop Edelle for being signed to one of the Gib 3, YG Entertainment. Edelle thought it was a long shot to be accepted into any agency let alone be YG. Maybe YG saw her audition himself and saw how passionate she was when she was singing. Whatever it was, it must've been special about Edelle that got her picked.

Likes
- Big Bang :: Edelle never really knew a lot of K-pop artists before she moved to SK, after she was accepted into YG she started to listen to their artists and she loved Big Bang the most. Her UB is probably Daesung
- Going to Karaoke Lounges :: She basically grew up in one, and she loves going to them. Makes her feel as if she's back in her dad's old karaoke lounge
- Cooking :: Despite not knowing how to cook Korean food, Edelle is very good at cooking Filipino food. Sometimes she would suprise the girls with a Filipino feast
- Coffee :: The girls and her friends at YG like to joke around saying that the reason why Edelle is so fun-sized is because she drinks too much coffee. They literally think that she was a barista in her past life, which may or not be true.
- Swimming :: Her nickname is Moana for a reason. She grew up in Cebu and the beaches are so beautiful you couldn't help but swim. Edelle swam before she could run and it's something about water that makes her miss the beaches in the Philippines
- Champorado :: Champorado is basically just chocolate rice porridge with condensed mil drizzeled on top. If there's anything that Edelle misses eating in the Philippines will be that.
- Hotteok :: Once Edelle moved into Korea one of the very first Korean food that she ever tried was Hotteok which was introduced by her step mom. It was love at first taste and she loves the sweet hotteok filled wit honey and nuts compared to the savory ones
- Praises :: Who doesn't like being praised when doing something. Let's be honest Edelle knows that he isn't the most visually appealing in the group so she really falls back on her skills with music. When someone says that she sings well, that's gives her the motivation to keep doing what she's doing

Dislikes

- Discrimination :: There is discrimination in any sort of business/industry. There was discrimination held against Edelle when she moved to SK and luckily that toned down for her after a while. However if she were to hear anyone getting discriminated she would either confront the person or depending on the situation show a disguested face
- Excersing/Dieting :: I think majority of girl group members loathe going on diets and hitting the gym to shave some extra pounds before a show and Edelle is one of them. She's not the most athletic person either
- Doing Nothing :: Despite not liking excersising, Edelle is a mover, so she doesn't like sitting down doing nothing. She would much rather go to the studio and start practising or atleast improving her vocals. Even go out and walk the streets of Seoul.
- Shopping :: Edelle is not ashamed to admit that she's not a fan of shopping. She doesn't understand that whenever girls would go to a mall and they immediately have the urge to just go start shopping. If Edelle were to shop, she wold mostly haggle the sales person to give her a cheaper price on the item that she wants to buy.
- Eating her Vegetables :: Despite being on the verge of turning 20 years old, Edelle still haven't learned to eat her vegetables like a grown up. Her dad blames himself because whenevr asked for no vegetables when he cooked for her, he would obey her every command. 
- K-Dramas :: I know shocker, but Edelle can't seem to step onto the K-Drama trends. She finds the shows to be predicatable in a sense, where if something bad happens to a boy and a girl it signifies it's the beginning of a rock relationship. She finds them predictable and doesn't watch much. When her friends ask if she saw the new episode of the latest drama at that she would be confused and her friend would complain that she can't even let out her emotions from watching the episode.
- Being called, "cute" :: Even though they might have a cute concept in the future, Edelle loathes trying to act cute even though her friends say that she's naturally cute in appearence. She doesn't like her cute image, but she just accepts the compliment but would ask them to stop calling her that, I mean she is almost 20. 
Hobbies
- Playing guitar :: When she entered her agency, she wanted to practice something that would make her stand out so she took up guitar. From starting off as someone who could make your ears bleed, in a matter of 5 years, she had gotten pretty good at it.
- Composing :: Not that she started to play the guitar, Edelle started to write her own lyrics. She hopes that she would get the chance to compose her own songs for own group and maybe for her other labelmates 
Habits
- Shaking her right leg whenever she sits down
- Puffing out her cheeks when she's bored
- Whenever someone says a word, she would sing a song that has the same lyric ex. "That's fantasic." Edelle : "Wow! Fantastic Baby! I wanna dance, dance, dance!"
Basic Trivia
- Edelle is a morning person, as soon as the sun rises up, so does she
- Despite being insecure about her skin, Edelle wouldn't want to bleach or make it seem more light, because it's a part of her Filipino identity
- Despite Edelle not hearing from her mother, she doesn't hate her for abandoning them, but that doesn't mean if her birth mother suddenly comes back into her life, it doesn't neccessairily mean that she would greet her with open arms either
- If Edelle could ask any questions to a person, she would ask her more why she left and to let her know that she wasn't mad at her during her time being gone
- Edelle is not that close to her step-mom as she is with her dad - yet

– Father :: Jose Lopez (37) / Karaoke Lounge Manager /Supportive, Playful, Protective / Because his wife left him while Edelle was still young he built a strong build with his babygirl. He was very supportive of her dreams of becoming a singer and bragged to his friends that his daughter was going to be onstage on TV. He knows everything about Edelle, even more than Edelle knows herself. He is also protective about his daughter so if she looks a bit more thin after each show, he keeps texting her to eat up and that he doesn't want to see her looking like  skeleton on the next show. Don't even get me started when he nags at his daughter to not talk to those boy idols backstage.

– Step Mother :: Baek Hyangsook (36) / Elementary School Teacher / Gentle, kind-hearted, quiet / Hyangsook and Edelle didn't start off on a high not becaue Edelle was a bit iffy about her mom-to-be. However as they moved to SK,  Hyangsook helped her step-daughter with the language and has been gettiing some Jose parenting tips for how to cheer Edelle up. They're not the closest daughter and mother out there, but they know that if one of them needed to a hand they wouldn't be hesitant to help

– Close Friend :: Lalisa Manoban aka Lisa of Blackpink (20) / Idol / cheerful, caring, understanding / Lisa started training at YG  a year before Edelle joined. They got close together during their trainee time and Lisa treated her as a little sister despite the one year . Despite Edelle not debuting s a member of Blackpink, Lisa and Edelle always find some time in the day to contact one another to update about their own personal lives

Well, Edelle had spent five years uder YG Entertainment and she was accepted atas a trainee from a young age. 14 to be precise. At a young age she learnt to hone her skills and grew an even more strong passion for performing. Despite being in the YG dungeon of trainee, she never lost the spark. Of course she did have her doubts as each goes by and she was getting older. She was 14 when she started and 19 when she was about to debut with Coalesce.

Also, not everyone was nice when she was training. Which makes sense because when you're really thinking about it, trainees are basically competiting for the same drem and how much they improve will affect if it actually came true. Such as you could steal someone's postion if you jut one-up them somehow. Edelle was sort of like that, but it was unintentional because she has a natural perfection work force. Luckily, she made some friends during her trainee period, such Lisa. 

Now that she's on the verge to debuting in Coalesce she couldn't be anymore pumped up than she already is. 

   Just a few questions

What does the word 'Coalesce' mean to you? As the questions rings, she didn't know how to answer quickly. But soon smiled as she thought of the perfect answer. Because as someone who was training when they were young and spending countless hours in the studio wondering if you'll ever debut, Coalesce means a right of passage to me. Edelle nodded as she was proud of her answer.

What makes you different compared to the other 6 girls? Uhhh... Not totally understanding the question, she asked the interviewer to repeat the question politely. I think my appearence let's me stand out on their own. As soon as she said that she let out a big laugh. I think it would be my charisma. You can't be born with a natural fire for performing. As for me, I started a few sparks, but sometimes it wouldn't blow up, once I found it I steadily grow into a full bown fire.

How do you feel about Coalese being a one year group? She lets out a sigh thinking about the future of the group. Well it is a project group, it's inevitable that we will go our seperate ways. Edelle didn't know why, but she thought about her biological mother. Which sort of mad her reflect on how she should answer. Close people have left me before and I do scared if the people I care about right now, might leave me still. However, I don't think when this group ends, we'll entirely forget each other.

With Coalese being a multi-race group in the korean music industry, do you think you have thick enough skin to deal with the critism you will recieve? Have you seen me? Edelle asked the interviewer playfully as she gestures to her dark complexion. I have experienced discrimination when I moved here. The most offended I've been was when I was at a market and lady tried to sell me soap, by saying "You'll become beautiful after you scrub your dirty skin~". I don't think I can be hurt again after that.

This goes along with the ious question, Is there anything you are not looking forward to while being in this project group? The end? Edelle answered, but iit sounded more like a a question. Goodbyes are always sad and when you think about waking up everyday to the same faces and one day they're all gone, doesn't it sound sad?

And lastly, do you have any goals you want to achieve with the group or is there anything you want to achieve on your own? Without hesitation, Edelle grew another smile on her face. I hope that Coalesce can prove to everyone and anyone that music has no boundaries and if anyone tries they can absolutley follow their dreams.
