Personality 

Despite Haneul's young age, she had always had the aspiration and determination to be a successful person in life. So everything she has done in her life, whether it was studying or doing something else, her sedulous attitude towards the things she does has always been praised by her peers and has gain a lot of respect. Again, because she's only 16, and probably one of the more younger girl trainees, and with her diligince it makes her seem a bit more mature than the other girls because she does heavily deicates in her crafts. It's all because she's determined to do her best  to become an idol, and that's her motivation to keep on going in the scary world of the trainee life. Many sunbaes, and older trainers recognize her laser eye focus when she's practcing because you can just see it in her eyes that she wants to be on the stage more than anything. She doesn't care how much sweat she has to accumalate to do have it, or even have a taste of it. She also has the determination to prove that she isn't her brother's sister. She just wants to prove to herself that she has a name that doesn't start with so and so sister. But as just Choi Haneul. She hasn't been a trainee as along as some of the other girls who are joined the show, but that doesn't mean she does't have the mindset to not waste any moment of practising because it'll lead up to something big soon. Then again, she is 16 years old, and she just have to optimistic and positive. Because Yujie is a bit unlike her brother, aura wise, it's suprising when she talks outloud among the girls. But the words that do come out of are words that sticks in your head. Because she has always been the one to lighten up the mood when the atomsphere is too tense. Plus, once Haneul is not practicing Haneul is actually pretty friendly. So, she likes to make herself someone included to their trainee expierience, so when that person looks back at how they started, they'll remember that they didn't start their journey alone. Haneul is like someone who restores the intensive atomsphere into a relaxed one where everyone can just breathe. Plus, when she smiles and says, "Isn't it better that we failed? I mean, we can get praised every single day, but is that really going to build us?" is something that can make you smile at her positivity and way of thinking. Another thing that's commendable about Haneul personality, is that she can be very bold. She doesn't like to be careful with her choices, and she's definately not afraid to take risks. Because is doing something ordinary, going to make you stand out? No. Plus, she doesn't want to keep wondering, "what if?". Instead she wants to take risks because even if she fails, atleast she can said that she tried. And would probably say, "when your best and you don't succeed~".

But to just get Haneul to talk is a bit hard. Because she can be a bit introverted in the beginning. Her brother was usually the one who pushes her to go out and try to interact with other people. Even if it's against her will. Because when she came to Korea besides her brother, she didn't have much friends. Maybe because she's a mized race and kids were calling her, "mutt" and keep staring at what makes her different from them. She was basically mute, since she didn't really talk to anybody even despite knowing basic Korean. But she does try to get herself more out there. Yet as of now, you kind of have to be the first to approach her if you want her to talk. But just don't talk to her when she's practicing, because it's like talking to a brick wall. Because of her sedulous attitude, it cause her to just zone out and she just focuses in front of the mirror, totally engrossed with what she's doing. It's just a waste of time, if you try to start a conversation with her, or just try to tell her to just slow down. She won't be listening and won't be stopping herself anytime too. It's also a good idea to double cross this girl. Because she likes to think of herself as someone who treats everyone with respect, and even if they're older, she can still hold a grudge. If you even dare to disrespect her, she's not afraid to discard any respect that she had for you. That can cause her to a bit rebellious as well. That's basically when she talks the most, is when she's displeased and she'll vocally expresses her opinion. Also happens when she wants to take a risk, that other people think is a not a good idea. She'll just do it anyway because she has the confidence that she can do it. Another fault in her stars, is one that makes her brother very worried while she's going on the show. That's way she's an Innocent Idiot. She believes anything that you tell her. Do you know hard it is to tell her that Santa is probably not real? So hard. Because she likes to think that, that there's good in everybody, yet she doesn't really think about they people who don't always have a good in them. So, that's what really worries her brother, and her friends to worry as well.

Background 

► // First Thing's First on the Realest // So let's start with the basics, Choi Haneul was born in 2002, in New York America, but too bad for her that she was only 1 year old when she moved to South Korea. But when she was born from a Korean father and an Ameican mother, with a brother who is 4 years older than her. 

As a toddler she wasn't as outgoing than most children would be, but her parents kind of predicted their child would be shy because she literally cam out of her mom's room quietly, not crying. Her shyness didn't really help that much when she started to attend elementary school. Her Caucasian features would stick out a lot among her classmates and some of them weren't afraid to call her out for them. Luckily, her big brother would be there and told some kids off and wiped her tears. However her family told her that she wouldn't have someone to be there for her all the time. 

► // Everybody was Taekwondo Fighting!  // What do you think any good family would do? Sign her up for taekwondo lessons. But real talk here, her parents signed her up for taekwondo to boost up her confidence. But she didn't just join any dojo, no, no, she joined K-Tigers. Her first days were kind of tough, because kids would've already formed their own groups already, but she was usually alone. Yet, Haneul's sedlous attitude started to kick in and she slowly, but surely started to become more comfortable with the people around her. Soon she became to love it and devoted herself to the entire system.

Soon she climbed the pyramind *wink wink* and became someone who was on the top of the class despite her young age. Many of her peers started to take notice of her talents and praised her for developing so much on her skills. Soon she became one of the main faces on the channel.

Also, while Hanuel was growing up in Korea, her brother got street casted. But the man who claimed to be a represenative for a a company called Pledis also noticed the little cute Haneul standing beside him, in which he also provides her an opportunity to audition for the company. Her brother, of course accepted the offer and now is Vernon of Seventeen, but Hanuel declined the offer because her main focus was on taekwondo.

► // Sing it Out! // As life went on, K-Tigers were getting more and more recognition and were developing more projects for fans, which soon was the start of their music career. As we all know,, K-Tigers began to mix taekwondo with Kpop dance routines, which gain them so much popularity now. But  just recently, K-Tigers established a music side to their firm, where they take some of their talented crew of athletes and star them in music videos in which they not just dance and mix taekwondo in, they had to sing and rap.

Fortunately, Haneul was one of the lucky chosen ones to star in MV. Her first MV was shot in 2016 and she was only 14 at that time. She's been in a total of videos on their channel.

► // Produce 101 // So out of all the K-Tigers Haneul was mostly close with fellow (now) ex-contestant, Byun Hyunmin. Byun Hyunmin wanted to try out for the show because let's be honest, all of us have a seecret ambition to be a star one day. So Hyunmin decided to go audition for the show. But before the show, Byunmin and Haneul are very close and because Hanuel has some experience with music due to starring in some MV's so he thought that maybe Hanuel could join him on his idol training journey. Haneul was on the fence on the whole idea, but Hyunmin persuaded her in the end by saying if she wasn't up for the challenge for training as an idol and boom, she found herself in the casting room for PD101.

Trivia 

♡ Haneul has won over sparring competitions in taekwondo
♡ Her favourite drink is bubble tea and her favourite flavor is Taro
♡ She knows acrobatic tricking (like what GOT7 does)
♡ She loves spicy food and when she thinks it's not spicy enough, she would put chili  sauce or any hot sauce on it (some of her friends wonder how she does that and new people who eat with her are amazed by her amazing ability to withstand spicy foods)
♡ Even despite winning a lot of sparring competitions, Hanuel is more interested with poomsae a more showcase version of taekwondo
♡ She loves horror movies (more-so loves seeing her unnies and dongsaengs getting scared)
♡ Hanuel's original dream was to be a national represenative in taekwondon like Taemi (if you don't know her she was on Running Man ep 272)
♡ Haneul was on an episode of Running Man (ep 272) along with the older K-Tigers and was revealed to be Seventeen's Vernon little sister
♡ She hates the sound of people chewing with their mouth open
♡ Is allergic to peanuts
♡ She still keeps her old taekwondo uniform from when she first started out 
♡ She wanted to become an idol because she found it as another challenge to conquer or atleast try out

♡ Sometimes Haneul's intention to be in PD101 is questioned by others because she is so into taekwondo, but the show isn't a sparring competition, but an idol competition. So some girls (not to snitch) thinks she shouldn't be there because it's their chance to debut as an idol
♡  Heaven appeaed in Seventeen Project in the episode when the famiies get to see their sons. 

Relations 

— Mother / Melody Vernon (idk if it's her actual name, but it's the best I go so...) / 47 / Caring, nuturing, understanding / English Teacher / Well, like let's just say a mother is a daughter's best friend and Haneul's relationship with her mother is exactly like that. Like any other parent her mother always wants the best for her child even if it envolves some pushing and thanks to her pushing, Haneul is who she is today

— Father / Simon Choi / 48 / Supportive, Quiet, Loving / Businessman / Well, I just imagine that Haneul's dad is like the silent and supportive one due to the traiditional Korean standards. So, her dad is like the silent supporter and whenever he knows he has to be the one to pat her back for comfort. Even if they don't exchange much words they know how much they love each other - a lot

— Brother / Choi "Vernon" Hansol / 19 / Protective, Playful, Affectionate / Idol  / Let's be honest, when you have a sibling majority of the time their either teasing each other and/or annoying the living fudgeballs out of each other and Hansol and Heaven are no exception. So you will either see them teasing each other or messing each others hair. Also Hansol is protective of his little sister and boys, so he cautiously keeps Heaven away from the members - "for protection" he says

Trainee life Well, because of her competitive sports background it's in Heaven's blood to practice, practice, practice. Because if you miss one day of training it you could be left behind in a serious pack of dust. So you can bet that Heaven was always on top of her game, not trying to waste anytime she has practicing her routine. 

Yet, when she decided to train as an idol her training regimen was a bit different compared to what she used to do. Heaven would still practice taekwondo, but she would have to practice that while singing and controlling her breathing as she tries to do flips in the air and etc. 

Also, dieting wasn't an issue for Heaven because as an athlete she had to make sure she was eating healthy and not eating anything that will risk that. However, she never has and never will be on the
