APPEARANCE the short, light-weight woman has the looks and body of a teenager; as if her teenage body suddenly stopped aging. yeonhee's face is quite slim and narrow; her skin is a creamy white-skin colour. her chestnut brown eyes are small and her nose is petite, her ski-slope of a nose bridge quite noticable. her cheekbones are high and lips are plump but more so on the thinner side of lips. yeonhee's trademark look is her short, wavy light brown-blonde hair with the korean wispy bangs that seemingly never move out of place even with the mightiest of winds.
STYLE yeonhee dislikes the feeling of pants unless they're extremely loose or flowy. instead she wears skirts most of the time with pastel colours. click here. for practice she usually wears loose gym shorts with a large shirt because its easier to practice in. 
OTHER yeonhee often carries a totebag and on the handles of the totebags are pins and badges of everything. feminist/lgbtq! support badges, disney and ghibli characters, little cute pictures. it's a little thing that fans have spotted and enamel badges have become a small gift that fans give to yeonhee during fansignings. she keeps every pin and badge.

PERSONALITY
"the velvet's yelena? not much to say about her. if she weren't an idol with the out-of-the-norm hair colour, you'd think she's another background girl. she's quiet, shy but she manages to get your attention somehow. maybe it's her voice, her smile? maybe it's maybelline?"

"yeonhee used to train with me. she's patient with everyone and helps us with learning our notes when singing. her compassionate personality made many trainees like her. but yeonhee goes out of her way to help us that her selfless nature ruins her. she doesn't have any time for herself, to practice, to eat. yeonhee once helped another trainee and didn't get to eat due to her schedule that day. i admire her."

"i can definitely say that yeonhee's sensitive. she can't take critisism very well and pushes herself because of it. she usually bottles it up and cries at night when no one can hear her. yeonhee's also very shy, although she doesn't seem like it. after all, with all that attention on her you'd think that she's extroverted. yeonhee can make friends but she's quite passive in the role of initiating friendships. but, as her friend, she's needy. she needs someone who reassures her that she's doing okay otherwise she'll break down."

BACKGROUND 
if you had to compare yeonhee's life to another person, hers would automatically be the most normal prior to training. her parents were south korean immigrants who moved to australia after marriage due to economic benefits. they weren't rich but not poor either. yeonhee as a child didn't have much as her parents sought out books instead of toys since education was important and since yeonhee was often sick. this led her to be very shy, a bookworm if you please. her parents however were musically gifted and wanted to pass it onto yeonhee, making her learn the guitar, ukelele and some basics on the keyboard. with the musical family, yeonhee grew up singing whenever her nose wasn't buried in her book. once in a blue moon, her family would take her to rallies or protests for gender equality and lgbtq+ rights, something they are passionate about.

when yeonhee was fifteen, her parents had to move back to south korea due to family issues and so they packed up from perth and back to seoul. it was fine for yeonhee as it was like moving houses, except they were moving from countries. the hardest part of moving was transitioning from english to korean and her shyness grew in fear that people would make fun of her korean. it went away when she joined her school choir and students and teachers alike praised her for her singing skills. when yeonhee was seventeen, some of her classmates persuaded her to sing at a singing competition as part of their year graduation bucket list (*when yeonhee was seventeen she would've been eighteen in korean age.) and so she did and won first place. she didn't expect to win nevertheless have someone come up to her and ask her if she wanted to join sm entertainment. she took the opportunity with some encouragement from her parents and went to audition and passed without a flaw.

TRAINEE LIFE
although it was only a year of training, yeonhee was pushed harder due to the staff wanting to put her in a group due to her voice. she caught a lot of slack for it, from the trainees, media (when press heard of her short training period) and even from staff alike. she often helped out other trainees if they had trouble since yeonhee knew how to read notes and sing them with ease. she was often unsure about herself and self-doubt led to many sleepless nights practicing over and over again.
