So the movie is finally available for Netflix and I read the book back in 8th grade. I saw the trailer and I ING CRIED. Imagine me watching the whole movie RIVER OF TEARS RITE DER

and we're doing a whole family gathering to watch it, so that's gonna change to an OCEAN OF TEARS

I just watched the movie this Thursday, and I almost cried 3 times in the cinema lol. I can say that this is officially my favourite film I've ever watched. It was so fascinating how they could gather thousands of people for extras and some props while filming. Stuffs like shoes made out of vehicle wheels, and a kind of fruit that they used (during the part where Loung's mother had to dye their clothes into black) are so rare these days in Cambodia I bet they had a very hard time finding them. Overall, it was a great film to watch, we can learn so much of Cambodia' history just from it. The movie was long (140 minutes) but it is worth your time in the end.
P.S: I haven't read the book version of it actually :( But if I have enough time, I'll go find it at the bookstores nearby (though I doubt it is available tbh)
