hyunjun entered the study lounge with a heavy sigh - he hadn't finished his assignment which dued today yet. his eyes were drifted to the clock on the wall, it was quarter before two, and that meant he only has fifteen minutes to finish it before the class started. not wanting to waste more time, he went straight to an empty spot and took out his laptop from his backpack. once the screen was on, and the laptop was ready to use, he hovered the cursor to an icon and clicking some button before a thousands of characters appeared on the screen. some people might be amazed looking at the screen, but it was a normal sight for computer science student.
he once again sigh. he barely procrastinated, but last night was an exception. there was a quiz this morning and it was the subject he disliked the most; which required a lot of reading instead of practical. he tried to run the coding after ten minutes working on it, but ultimately the program didn't work the way it was supposed to be. he scrolled up the window, trying to figure out what was wrong with his statement, but everything was right and it should be working right, so it frustrated him that it didn't. he was almost submitting the coding as the submission link would close in two minutes, but not until he scrolled up to the top of the window. someone definitely was messing with his code, and he knew who.
his right hand deleted the whole #DEFINE ELSE on the header of the code, while his left hand picked up his handphone, started calling the one who messed up the code
"kim youngho you ing c*nt, what the heck did you do to my coding?"
"speak for yourself. you ing changed the semi colon with greek question mark and i just spent the whole night figuring out what the hell was wrong with my coding."

BACKGROUND
park hyunjun was born into a wealthy, happy family - at least, that is what people think of him. his father is a ceo of a well-known electronic company, while his mother is an architect. he was born with a twin named park hyunjae who is 4 minutes younger than him. hyunjun claimed hyunjae as his other half - they played together, studied together – in short, they did everything together.
the twins grew up being each other's strength as both of the parents were busy. they only had each other. hyunjun didn't expect his younger brother would leave him so soon, it was the typical monday evening when hyunjun wanted to play at the park near the house. hyunjae didn't really want to, but after being persuaded by hyunjun, he agreed. they played together with the other kids in the neighborhood. maybe hyunjun kicked the ball a little too hard, but the ball flew across the road and everything that happened next, happened in a blink. the next thing hyunjun realized, hyunjae was already lying on the road, covered with blood.
no one really blamed him after that incident, but hyunjun wasn't that stupid to not realize the change in his parents. he had always known the parents favored his younger brother, and it was obvious they did distance themselves from him after that. hyunjun blamed himself for whatever happened in the household so he always locked himself in his room, thinking maybe his parents disliked looking at his face. first, he looked like his brother, and second, he was the reason his brother died.
hyunjun became more distant and quiet as time went by, he started to build a thick wall between the people around him, including his family and close friend. his close friend became worried about the changing attitude. it took a quite a while, but he did bring back the old playful hyunjun. though, he won't open up to other people, but his close friend.
right when he graduated from high school, hyunjun left the house and lived alone. the family paid for the college tuition and gave him monthly allowance, but hyunjun didn't really use that money. he went back home once in two/three months and even so, they barely talked with each other, only had dinner and breakfast together. hyunjun wanted to repair the relationship, but it wasn't that easy.

PERSONALITY kim yerim has a neighbor next-door vibe. she comes off as a bubbly and fun to most of people. some people might call her fake for her easy-going personality, but she is genuinely warm and interested in people. she basically only has two emotional state; it's either "it's a good day~! let's party" or "OH MY GOD, I AM IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION AND EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART OH MY GOD HOW DID THIS ALL HAPPEN WHAT EVEN". she also can be indecisive because she cares a lot about what others are feeling and so, she never imposes her own wishes.
ENDING it is up to you tbh, they can get back together or stay awkward like that.

LOVE STORY their meeting isn't a normal one to be honest. hyunjun was leisurely playing games on his laptop when a notification appeared on the screen. what shocked him was it was an email sent to his website which at that time, didn't open to the public. he was lucky that he didn't play an online game at that time, because he quickly left the game and went on his website. the email was from someone whom he didn't recognize.
quite okay algorithm you got there. took me solid fifteen minutes to crack it. anyway, this is so rude of me but can you please look park hyunjun up for me? i tried but couldn't find anything beside the basic information about him.

hyunjun found it amusing – someone hacked into his website just to send email to that website only to ask him to look for him. he was curious about the sender, and he got what he wanted. within a few minutes, he got all the information about the sender. the sender was a she, to be exact, kim yerim, his classmate from computer forensic class. a smile appeared on his face before he exited the website and resumed the game.
the next day when he went to the class, he purposely took a seat behind her. things were going greatly to his liking – the lecturer paired yerim with him for their project, and hyunjun took this opportunity to find out about her more. he asked her a quite a few personal questions, and she honestly answered the questions, and that made her more interesting in hyunjun eyes.
when the class ended, he replied her email, asking her why should he do it? he would only do something only when it was fun and finding information about park hyunjun didn't sound fun at all to him.
these two kept exchanging emails for a month, with hyunjun kept giving reason why he wouldn't do it, and yerim kept saying it'd be fun. in real life, they were getting closer because of their project. one thing hyunjun realized was, the closer he was with yerim, the lesser emails sent to 707.
hyunjun and yerim naturally being in a relationship after almost two months befriending each other, yet they both still hid the fact they knew each other's identity. their relationship didn't last long because of that. when hyunjun came to know that yerim knew he was 707, they had a fight. hyunjun didn't like the fact she hid it from him and wasn't honest about it, while yerim explained to him that because he was difficult to approach, so she tried to use that way to get closer with him. they broke up after a week having a cold war

OFFLINE during the project works, they get along very well. they barely bicker with each other but teasing each other is a part of their routine. nothing changes even when they're in relationship, maybe during weekend, instead of hanging out with his friends 24/7, hyunjun spends some time with yerim. after the break up, there is a tension between them whenever they meet each other in the class. lucky for them, the break up happens after they submitted their project.

+ first of all, on the character introduction, hyunjun didn't realize there was an error - so i'm gonna explain that. basically, he was creating a program which he knew there was no error with his coding, but the program didn't work like how it intended to be. he knew the problem right away when he executed the coding, but when he looked at the coding statement (where he tought is the problem) the coding was right, there was no error. so that was why he was so frustrated. this is very different from hacking tbh, hacking deals with working program, while here, he was creating program. tbh on the character introduction, i wanted to show the prankster him so that's why.
+ i was torn either to use sejun or taeyong (because BIAS BIAS BIAS!!!!), but sejun's face is just too cheerful, too friendly to be a cold person so i go with taeyong instead, but tbh, if you prefer sejun more, i don't mind changing it. oh, and i formatted the personality like that, i hope you're okay with it. also, i don't include his parents in the relationship section because i don't think it's important??? he doesn't have a good relationship with his parents and rarely goes home anyway. but if you want me to change the format for the personality and add his parents into the relationship section, just tell me. i'll do it.
