03.08.17 @ Changi Airport Arrival Hall

okay i wasn't intending to add this part in but since i'm going to talk about my whole experience of the concert, why not add this in too? so initially, i had absolutely no plans to fetch any of the idols since i already had plans with a friend and we were near town area that night (which is pretty far from where the airport was.) at approximately 8.20pm? my group of friends whom i was going to the concert with started bombing the group chat about the confirmed arrival timings of all the groups and i suddenly got really excited and felt the urge to see them close up. at first, none of the friends that were going to the concert with me had time so i called up another friend and asked if he wanted to go, this was pretty much how our conversation went:

*warning: i'm singaporean so the way i speak to my friends in rl is super singlish- if y'all even know what's singlish lOL

me: omg wru??? 

him: bugis, why? (it's a place about 1/2 stops away from where i was but i totally forgot i was near him thinking i was 127381268km away from him lmao)

me: oh...  i wanted to ask you if you wanted to go airport fetch rv all.. it's ok nvm!! *ends call*

/thinks hard about where i am and where he was and sudden realisation hits me/

me: *calls friend again*

me: EH WE CAN TOTALLY GO WANT NOT??

him: LOL wanted to call u back but YA LET'S GO!!! but my friend's with me so we're gonna go down find you, she wanna see shinee!!! we cab there later??

me: nice ok!!! i think my friend is joining also, call me when you reach omg SEE U LATER (my friend who was with me is a yeri stan so i kind of dragged her along last minute- she's thankful about it though ;-)) 

 

don't mind the screaming sorry! in my defence, some of it weren't from me but from the people that were beside me;;; their flight lands at 9.20pm sgt & we only managed arrived on the dot– we were super lucky because we managed to find a spot where we were closer to the barricades (pretty sure we were going to see nothing but i guess i was wrong). i was seriously star struck the moment my eyes settled on seulgi, i'm not even kidding lol i couldn't believe she was.. real, and literally in front of me. i'm not sure if you can tell but i was so focused on her in real life i didn't even realise shinee was just behind them and i could only catch them for a second or two woops. afterwards, when all groups had made their exits, most of the fans ran, mind you, they were running like there was a zombie apocalypse occurring to the other terminal bc bangtan was arriving at a separate arrival hall and they were literally girls who looked like they were still in their elementary schools. there was even a video on it i don't even know if i should laugh or be embarrassed by them.....

putting that aside, i didn't stay for bangtan's arrival though, theirs was an hour and a half later and it was already 10pm then; plus, i had tutorial classes the next morning and a submission on that day too– though i have to admit i kind of regretted not staying despite knowing i chose the right option.

04.08.17 @ Suntec Convention Centre 

we (myself together with my friends p, n and t) reached the concert site at around 2pm? we went early for the fan support projects and thank god we came early because everything was so chaotic already then. officially, the queue supposedly starts at 5.30pm & the concert itself at 8pm but i swear, the management was so so, SO horrible. everything was a mess; i don't know if this applies to other countries but in singapore, when fansites sell their goods at the concert venue, the security do actually catch you and so many of them were asked to leave the venue since they were kind of obstructing the paths (they do drag you away if you resist), i'm pretty sure it has something to do with the law too. also, i'm not too sure as to how they're asked to tidy the crowd but initially they lined us up by our queue numbers, it was about 4.30pm then and told the latecomers to go to the back since they're late. so a bunch of them were complaining and arguing over it, and at 5pm, they suddenly told us that they had to re-arrange the queue again so others (who supposedly are at the front) can join the queue and many of the fans around me were pretty upset over it. the bag check part was.. bad lmao. they let in a huge group of fans who were in front of us accidentally without checking their bags and you could tell that whoever was in charge was pretty angry about that.

fast forward to when we were inside the venue, i met pretty chill fans there and i guess that's one of the fun things about concerts, you're all present for the same reason. 

so music bank started off with the introduction of all the groups, and if you look closely when bangtan came on stage, you can see hoseok asking taehyung to stand beside irene instead but taehyung then looked for jimin so jimin stood beside her in the end LOL. the whole scene was pretty amusing (but sad, in a way if you think about it. imagine not being able to stand beside a gg in fear that anti(s) might attack you/the gg and the cause of it could be partially because of those extremely unreasonable shippers) if you ask me. they even sang a song for singapore as the introductory HAHA. bogum, irene and a local emcee then proceeded to talk and bogum even sang a short line from "red flavor". it might be just me but i'm pretty convinced jungkook may or may not have moved back just to look over at red velvet, or at least, in their direction.

each group sang about 4 songs minimum and i'll be only linking one song of each group's here (since i'm a lazy person) and it'd most likely be their latest song. mamamoo was great, i assumed they'd be pretty left out (since many of the fans present were armys) but nope, i'm proud to say that singaporeans are seriously amazing multi-fandom people– well at least half of them because i could hear the whole venue singing along to their songs. they performed yes i am and solar. she's so freaking pretty. i'm not a fan but i always thought she looked like iu at first glance asdfgkl.

guess who had a big shock when taehyung walked out with bogum & the local emcee afterwards? apparently everyone LOL. though this time, he was on stage as emcee taehyung, you can hear him mentioning irene's name.

they introduced red velvet (hELL YES I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THEM PERFORM LIVE) where it started off with red flavor and i am so thankful for the bunch of fans i've met when i first entered the venue earlier bc they were also rv stans and we did the fanchants together!!! oh oh oh, i think wendy did hear us bc during joy's solo part, she looked over at our side and smiled /cries a river/.

onew then had a solo stage where he sang you are my everything, i've never shown much love for him obviously but he's literally the most precious thing (i fell in love with him during hello baby). his voice is heaven and the fact that i heard it live just wow– my ears were blessed during that stage. though to be honest, he looked pretty tired. hopefully i'm just overthinking but i do hope he got enough rest afterwards.... 

if i had to give out the most enjoyable group/stage out of all the 5 groups, it would definitely be cnblue. yonghwa is one of the most experienced singer i've met or known because if any of you watched the live stream, he hyped up the audience so effortlessly and even gave us a great laugh. they then carried on to perform love and then surprise y'all, iT'S SEULGI'S AND HWASA'S COLLABORATION FOR BANG BANG BANG ASUHDASHDK. if you guys think seulgi sings well from what you've seen on videos or online, prepared for your wigs to be snatched because seulgi sounds way way, way better live. i seriously had chills whenever she hit the high notes and i'm not sure why but i felt that her voice was huskier than usual. and oh my god, she looks so hot and she slayed so badly during that special stage i'm-

taemin performed a solo stage for sayonara hitori and fusajdnl. i'm so bloody thankful i had the chance to actually see him perform live, his stage presence in dancing gave me so much goosebumps, to say he's good would be an understatement. i now understand truly why people say he's an amazing dancer, i mean i always knew but seeing him dancing in real life is totally a different feeling.  

wendy then came up to sing beautiful seed, and i nearly teared right there and then when she sang the song. i've never heard the song before but at that point of time when she sang the lyrics, it all seemed as though it was a message to all of us. can't believe i was feeling emotional already then LMAO. following her would be yonghwa & solar's collaboration stage where they sang jj lin's song, and boy were we shook, it was a freaking chinese song and both of them harmonized so nicely with their chinese pronunciations on point- let me remind you they aren't even chinese.

bts came up next and i can promise you, the whole concert venue ground was shaking when they performed their songs, two of it would be both blood sweat tears and spring day (since i've accidentally uploaded two) and if you realized the different angles, one of it was from my friend's angle and the other was mine. the 4 for us split into two-two, where my friend t accompanied me to the back. if you listen closely to the bst fancam, before jimin even started singing i was already chaotic as hell LOL AND MY FRIEND; apparently, she's a huge taehyung stand so right after i stopped screaming, she started screaming like a mad women because it was taehyung's lines next lOL WE WERE A MESS BASICALLY.

speaking of bts, i'm not sure if any of you heard about the "saranghae" girl who apparently pretended to be the winner that was selected to go up on stage but i was seriously triggered when the real winner came out to speak up about her situation afterwards (she was stuck outside the concert venue when her number was called because she didn't have tickets to the concert.) this is where i get to explain why asiaboxoffice's management is ty as hell because:

1. when they put up the lucky draw box outside the concert venue where fans would write their numbers and place it in the box, there was no requirements stated that each of these fans had to hold tickets to the concert venue

2. the management didn't even verify "saranghae" girl's identity, instead, they rushed her on stage without any verification

3. point #2 leads to this point where the management actually allows danger to be posed towards bangtan, can you imagine if an anti-fan went up instead? can you imagine what could've happened?

this happened during their ment and i swear, i knew something was up when they called the rightful winner because the background was quiet as hell and the "saranghae" girl literally tackled taehyung when she went up lol. about two days later when the news blew up, the "saranghae" girl, @/lailingminho on both twitter and ig (i'm not sure if she changed her username) posted an explanation about her side of the story. she may or may not have private her account already but the summary of her story was that her mum had called her the same time bangtan called her, and she was waving (god knows why lmao) so people mistook her to be the winner. she showed a screenshot of her call log trying to prove her point but lol i'm sorry girl, the whole picture was obviously photoshopped and the fact that she said she "tried" to stop the management from dragging her on stage was a complete bull excuse to me. she apologised for it saying that she got a little too excited (knowing that she would be taking a photo with bts) but the whole explanation seemed completely like a lie to me. what makes me even angrier is that when another fan that sat near her approached her after wards to request to see the photo, she actually had the balls to say:

"saranghae" girl: this is what you get for going to 6 of bangtan's concerts

now this is something i absolutely despise about some fans. it doesn't matter if you aren't lucky enough to interact with your favs up close and it doesn't matter if you went to tons of their concerts. you're a ty person to be this dishonest and desperate to steal someone else's limelight and to make matters worst, you're a fan.

now i understand that this matter is already over and that i get she was hyped as hell to meet bts but it doesn't change the fact that she literally crushed someone else's dream. i've pretty much let the matter go but i truly hope its serves as a reminder for all existing fans out there (be it of any idol groups) to always stay humble.

moving on: shinee, being the final group, (by then i was already sad as heck since it was all going to end soon) performed view and it was a great pity minho wasn't with them considering the fact that the last time they came to singapore as ot5 was 5 years ago. i even met a few shawols that expressed how much they've missed them and i kind of sympathized with them aha;;;

- ̗̀warning for seulmin & wenhope shippers: you may be triggered- not in a good way. ̖́- 

this is finally where i get to talk about btsvelvet LOL. so everyone gathered on stage for the ending ment holding their signed towels, and from this, you can actually see jimin signalling to seulgi or at least, the others beside her that it was time to throw the towels. it's a super tiny gesture and interaction but i was happy with that yeah. from this angle, you might actually think that seulgi was avoiding jimin sometime after she threw her second towel, yes- she may have looked at jimin first but right after, she was actually looking more towards hoseok where she quickly looked away and looked at him again before deciding to walk behind irene and bogum which leads me to think, why take the longer route when she could have just cut through the empty space between hoseok and bogum? also towards the ending with about 14s left, it looked as though seulgi and jimin brushed past one another but in reality, they were quite a distance apart (you can see it here at around 1.20-ish timing), you can actually see her looking more towards hoseok here. following those fancams would be this, but it's pretty much nothing i guess (correct me if i'm wrong.) OH, jungri actually happened during this closing stage, i didn't manage to capture it (ugh kill me) but only seconds after it happened lol which was pretty upsetting since i was so focused on seulgi and jimin lmao.

y'all the moment they left the stage i felt my heart dip so badly thinking it was the end, THANK GOD there was an encore because i would've cried there and there if that was it. i was so bloody happy when ice cream cake played and my babies came running out, it's funny how seulgi immediately turned when bts ran onto stage leaving irene all alone with a pack of wolves LOL. i'm not sure if she saw but she probably caught a glimpse of taehyung tripping (poor v ;_;.) i never realised this but hoseok seemed like he wanted to avoid rv too, he turned away with a weird expression which you can see in this angle, something is up alright. the first encore fancam, you can actually see jimin peeking into their paper bag of balls and then seulgi talking to him (probably asking him to take the balls?) but POOR SEULBEAR SHE GOT IGNORED LMAO. i don't think jimin actually realised she wanted to help him though (i would've killed to see him replying her but nope, way to kill my hope jimin.)

see the thing is, erika (@jjongluv) and i had a major discussion over this for days after the concert on the minor interactions which happened and we've actually came to a point where we both believe that.......... there's a possibility of hopeseul, (or seulhope, whatever it's called). i'm not sure about the other btsvelvet shippers out there but we were super shaken by this plot twist since we're both all in for seulgi x jimin as well as wendy x hoseok. trust me we were pretty emotional over it because we didn't know what to feel, it felt as though our seulmin/wenhope hearts were partially crushed LOL. we're actually pretty mature about it if i say so myself— like we didn't immediately deny the possibility of that ship but i was truly upset on the inside, the level of disappointment we felt that night was... ugh. i guess it was also because there was a lack of wenhope interaction which never happened that night (in our eyes) so yeah imagine how disappointed we already were and then discovering the possibility that the seulmin interactions are purely speculation. let's not forget the fact that both of us aren't even that hardcore about our ult ships, like if our ship sank then yeah sure we'll be sad but sooner or later we'll be over it. can you imagine how other shippers would feel if we're already both like this?? LOL rip.

anyway, visual wise the ships that really stood out to me the most was seulmin (because they looked super hot together gah and the concept of both of them is just ???) as well as jungri. i think im being too imaginative but they had this high school au! vibe where yeri literally is the school's social and pretty butterfly while jungkook is the hottest guy in school that's reserved but super playful around his bunch of guy friends; they seriously look super cute together i'm not even kidding. as for wendy and hoseok, they truly do live up to their titles of being the sunshine of each group. i'm probably only going to talk about btsvelvet till here so if you have any else feel free to ask me!

 also, i'm really curious if any of you have different thoughts on this based on the fancams i took because i would love to hear what your opinions are, so do drop a comment on your views! 

moving on, i was actually doing fine keeping my emotions in after the concert (i started tearing on the train but it wasn't that bad yet) but lol the moment i was outside the train with friend p, i broke down and starting sobbing dON'T ASK ME WHY BUT I FELT SO IMMENSELY EMOTIONAL. i couldn't believe the fact that i saw my favourite idols that really meant so much to me??? and the fact that it was over was probably what triggered my emotions lmao. mini shoutout to erika for being virtually present with me during my emotional period to the extent she even nearly teared up for me THANKFUL FOR YOU and you're probably on your flight as i write this so see you later hehe.

overall, music bank was beyond amazing. i cannot believe i got the chance to i see 7 amazing dorky boys, 4 of my favourite band members (1 of them happens to be funny as hell), 4 (supposedly 5) precious boys that will always be shining in my heart, 5 absolutely gorgeous girls i never thought i would be gay for. super thankful for that day. really. as an ending note, i sincerely hope y'all will also have the opportunity to meet your ults in the future, it's truly a worthy experience.
