Writer's block

Hey guys,

As some of you already know, I've been super busy over the past month or so dealing with various things. Since life got so busy, I was finding it harder and harder to find time (And the energy) to write anything. Then when I actually tried to sit down and write something, I couldn't get anything to flow the way I wanted it to.

I got quite frustrated because writing is a part of me, it's something I've been doing for more than half my life. So to suddenly not be able to do it was upsetting.

However... I finally came to the realisation that the reason why I wasn't able to write anything was because I was trying to force myself to do it, I felt like I was obligated to write something because I hadn't written anything in ages. Once I let go of that thought of "I should be writing something" and instead thought "I want to write because I enjoy it" suddenly the words began to flow as easily as they used to.

I wrote so much over the weekend. I wrote the last three chapters for a story I started months ago as well as laying out plans for another three stories.

So to all my fellow writers out there. Don't let having writer's block get you down. It happens to all of us. And never feel like writing is an obligation: do it because you want to.

Thanks to anyone who made it to the end of this. Love you!

Its so nice of you to share this story with us. I mean, its possible that you are not the only one experiencing it and other writers who would read this will be motivated to do what they love and not force themselves to do it like its a rresponsibility.

Im excited about your SK trip but im sad as well coz that would mean no updates during those days hehehe

Aww, it was such a lovely post! ^^
I've experienced writer's block several times and I also realised that you can continue to write but only if you don't feel like you have to write. I usually let myself have a break and do something else instead and it usually helps me to overcome my writer's block.
What you've said was so true and I wish you continue to find joy in writing. <3
Plus, I can't wait to read your new stories! I'm sure they are awesome. <3
