ELABORATION —
• YoungMi is an absolute variety STAR. She's a master of keeping the energy high on stage and off, there's no doubt that she's somewhat of a "happy-virus". Her sense of humor is large as she often makes jokes that would sometimes have gone over someone else's head. YoungMi is most likely to break out into some strange, self-choreographed dance anytime a song she knows comes on. And she'll probably try to convince you to dance along with her.
When YoungMi wants something, there's a very low chance she won't get it. She may give off an "Airhead" vibe, but don't be fooled, she could be your best friend or your worst enemy. YoungMi is sometimes cold and stubborn when angered or annoyed. Thankfully, that rarely happens.
The only time you can get YoungMi to sit still is when she's writing music, and it's always a good idea to leave her alone when she's in the "Zone". (DK tried playing with her hair while she was writing and he almost lost a finger) When YoungMi finally looks up from her notebook though, she probably has an entire mini album finished, parts separate and everything.
As for when she's with the other members, she's probably too busy taking care of them to concern herself with her own well-being.

HISTORY —
Mom's out of the picture completely, YoungMi doesn't even remember what she looks like. Raised by her father in Busan, YoungMi spent all her time at school or the beach to avoid going home. No one was home anyways. YoungMi's father, a CFO for a large bank chain, was constantly going back and forth between America and Korea for business, hence why he wanted her to be bilingual. When YoungMi turned fourteen, her father announced they would be moving to America due to his newest promotion. YoungMi was completely against the idea, she had mass amounts of friends that she had known since diapers in Busan and she was not ready, nor willing, to leave. Her father's argument was that she had nothing going for her in Korea and that it would be a great idea to start over in America, as she knew the language like a native.YoungMi was determined to stay in Korea, in her home, so she bargained with her father that if she could be apart of something promising, she would be able to stay in Korea while he father continued his work in America. YoungMi auditioned for several entertainment agencies within the fortnight, she was accepted by several and went through a few different audition processes over the course of a month until finally getting accepted at Cube Entertainment and signing a four year contract. YoungMi moved to Seoul, as her father moved to New York. After her four year contract, she signed a one year contract and another when she was put on Produce 101 By the time she was contacted by BigHit Entertainment her contract was nearly over and she was able to switch companies painlessly.

YoungMi met Bangtan through her fellow group members, she considers herself close with all seven. She is close with both Jungkook and J-hope. J-hope was tasked with helping YoungMi improve her dancing, with similar personas, J-Hope took a liking to her quickly. Jungkook and YoungMi bonded unusually, as they happened to be both traveling in the same elevator when YoungMi heard Big Bang blasting through his earbuds. She asked him about it, and the two began a heated conversation about G-Dragons newest hair color, almost missing their floors. Jungkook and YoungMi get along well being the same age.

STAGE NAME — Akarui || Bright in Japanese; Youngmi believes that she was looked over on Produce 101 because she wasn't pretty, funny, or a good enough vocalist. She did not enjoy her time on Produce 101, so she doesn't go by the same name as she did on TV. Because she strives to be funny and all smiles on shows and on stage, she chose 'Bright' as her stage name.

TRAINEE LIFE — Cube Entertainment is known for its bad advertisement of groups, and pumping out amazing vocalists and rappers like it's nothing.(See: BtoB, 4Minute, Apink, Beast, Pentagon) YoungMi was one of very few trainees in Cube as the companies popularity and net worth are decreasing. YoungMi trained under debuted artist and amazing vocalist Seo Eunkwang of BtoB and now sees him as an older brother, bestowing him the title "Oppa". Because of her closeness with Eunkwang as her vocal coach, she eventually met the rest of BtoB and to this day they are all close friends. BtoB cheered YoungMi on throughout her time on Produce 101 and were enraged when they saw the amount of screen time she had before her elimination. When YoungMi returned to Cube, all seven of the boys greeted her with a hug and a ruffle of her hair. The members shed a couple tears when they heard YoungMi would be leaving Cube.

PERSONALITY —
Seokmin, or DK, is known for his impossible high-notes, unmistakable charm, and bright smile. As one on the main vocals of Seventeen, he is more than knowledgeable about vocal capability and music theory. That said, he's one of thirteen complete dorks and hella extra. With jokes and persistence, he believes he can win Youngmi's heart.
LOVE STORY —
• Seokmin and Jun, despite being busy almost always, made time to watch Produce 101. Not only because there were several trainees from Pledis participating, but they were intrigued by the concept of trainees from different companies forming one group. As Seokmin watched trainees preform and receive rankings, Cube Entertainment popped up on screen catching the attention of almost every member in the room. As Cube was their unannounced rival company, stylists and members alike halted to see what they were up against. Four girls made their way to the stage dressed in black and white hip-hop style clothing, they introduced themselves, and got in position. A familiar 4Minute song played and the girls themselves began to dance. A pigtailed girl rapped to HyunA's part and the judges and other trainees seemed to be loving it. A girl near the back started obviously ad-libbing, hitting some pretty impressive notes. Her surrounding trainees reacted slightly, flinching but nonetheless carrying on with the choreography. The ad-libs were well placed, sort of hyping up to the pigtailed girls rap, but it was obvious the other trainees were not expecting her to steal the show from the back. The camera switched to an impressed judge's panel, and then to a couple trainees in the audience with their mouths hanging open.The performance was quickly over due to cuts and the girls stood to receive comments from the judges. Pigtails was asked to freestyle and the short, ad-libbing girl was asked if her members knew about what she was going to do, she sheepishly answered no. Three girls, including the ad-libbing girl Seokmin couldn't keep his eyes off of, received an 'A', the youngest, an 'F'.
The series continued with different members of Seventeen tuning in to produce 101 every new episode. The only members that continuously watched every episode were Seokmin and Jun, as much as DK wished he could tell s he was watching for the Pledis trainees, he himself knew he was watching solely for the brunette who happened to have a set of pipes on her.
After Song YoungMi, who's name was revealed to Seokmin after a quick Google search, was eliminated in position 61, Seokmin's interest in the show quickly declined. As a new comeback for Seventeen was announced, thoughts of YoungMi were no more.
Finally done with a jacket shooting, DK scrolled though his unread texts in a certain 97 liner group chat. Jungkook was ranting about a certain trainee not answering his texts because she was with another trainee, supposedly working on their first album. DK, although familiar with the fact that BigHit had a few trainees, was unaware that a girl group was actually debuting. He questioned Jungkook about a new girl group and Jungkook told him all about "Bang-Pd's" newest idea. Minutes later, a picture was sent, captioned "Look how much fun they're having without me!"
A round-faced girl he known as Minghao's future wife, Yenny.
A figure with her back turned to the camera, a hand dismissively in the air.

(Later, bc of holy father Jeon Jungkook, they are introduced and Seokmin is hecka awkward, later after warming up to one another DK's feelings are pretty obvious to him and s, so now he just follows YoungMi around whenever together like a lost puppy.)
RELATIONSHIP STATUS — James Potter, Lilly Evans situation; Seokmin is hopelessly chasing after YoungMi and she's denying him because she believes a relationship could cause serious hate towards both groups. YoungMi does like Seokmin , but the last thing she wants to do is give up everything her and her band mates have built together.
TRIVIA — Total Tom & Jerry relationship; They're either all lovey dovey or bickering to no end.
