I didn't see this coming.

So there was the 2nd season of Produce 101 with boy trainees. I wasn't too enthusiastic about it, plus there were a bunch of scandals and problems along the way. I was thrown off the wheel when Nu'est, a second generation Kpop group, decided to join the show. Even though I knew nothing about them, I felt sad for them. Then I made a hate comment towards the show somewhere and got BASHED (I regretted). Anyways I just kind of disregarded the show.

Then one day I watched the show on my tv. It was the first elimination. But the station is broadcasting the show late by two weeks so by the time I watched ep 6, ep 8 was coming out that Friday. I searched up the piano version of Pick Me and I like it. Then I watched the performance of Pick Me a few times and naturally the center caught my eye. 

After ep 8, I searched up behind the scenes videos and fell a little bit more. (My favourites are the ghost prank video and Samuel and Daehwi's hidden box: you can see the obvious biasness here) In the position evaluation videos, I like Downpour, Fear (I can feel the exact second I fell for Kim Jonghyun) and Shape of You the most. Then there was the usual researches by me. I watched one more episode (because it was the school holidays).

I can't exactly pinpoint the moment I decide to watch more, but later whenever I saw previews on the television I'll be like "oh Produce 101 I wanna watch that". Later, 35 boys 5 concepts happened and I went to school for finals with Never stuck in my head. (I don't think I did very well but the results turned out okay, but that's out of topic.)

I started to find biases in the show (because one doesn't simply have one single bias in P101) , including Daehwi the Nayana center, Jonghyun the national leader, and Park Woojin the miracle of the show, and many more others such as Lee Woojin, Kwon Hyunbin and Lai Kuanlin (or Guanlin? That's the Chinese pinyin but his signature said otherwise). I remember ranting to my friend one day before ep 11 because I can't predict who will debut.

After the results came out, I was TOTALLY devastated because JONGHYUN. Everytime I see him smile like that I want to cry. And I watched the ranking anouncement videos and cried along with everyone else. I also, essentially, got Super Hot stuck in my head until now (lol).

Then I faced a decision of whether I want to stan the final group Wanna One (which btw, I found quite awkward to pronounce so I'm just pronouncing it as "One-Oh-One") since Jonghyun and Sewoon (another bias I discovered too late) weren't in the final lineup. 

Oh and I cried my eyes out when the last 20 trainees sang "Always" together. And then there are the trainees meeting with their parents...I can't watch ep 11 yet. I might flood my room.

So...stan or not?

Looking at the final lineup, I took a deep breath and made up my decision. They would've been too difficult to give up.

So...I stanned. 

I dare not stan too much or too hard though, since I want to still stay loyal to my current ult group.

Here are my unneeded opinions (xD) on the final line up: 

Daniel- He felt square to me maybe because of his face? But his smile is sweet and he's fluffy (especially when he's with small Woojin). A well-deserved center.

Jihoon- The winkboy! I see some Jungkook in him especially when he smiles. He is so. PRETTY. Honestly, I didn't even know what he did (okay now I know he does EVERYTHING) but that boy has talent.

Daehwi- Warning: I am biased. LEE DAEHWI IS MY CUTE MULTITALENTED FLUFFBALL. He can sing like an angel (and it's cute when he tried to do the high notes), he can even rap (coming from BNM of course) and dance, and HE HAS OVERDRAMATIC EXPRESSION THAT MAKES HIM SO. FREAKING CUTE. I searched up his profile and I cried because he's younger than me...by 13 days. We are actually the same age, but this is my first time actually stanning someone younger than me, even by weeks.

Jaehwan- I once heard someone call him the "National Psychopath" because of his laugh. To be honest, I see Baekhyun in him (both sing like nobody else's business, both beagle-like). He is an individual trainee. I like him.

Seongwoo- I call him "Ong" most of the time. He is the leader of the "baegopayo" squad (I think, I need to watch that video again). He's dorky and cute. 

Woojin- The very definition of "miracle". He's quite lower-ranked in the beginning, and rising up gradually, but until the Get Ugly performance I didn't really notice him. I especially admire him when he still performed in spite of being sick (shingles are REALLY painful). When he is able to debut, I am very happy.

Kuanlin- He's very very hardworking. Judging from the looks I thought he's a very cold person but when I watched him dancing to Trouble Maker with Seonho, it was all over. He's eight months younger than me, and AN ACTUAL GIANT. (Note: I might also like him because he's Taiwanese and can speak Chinese)

Jisung- The official meme lord of Wanna One. I love him to bits. I am a part of the "Jisung protection squad" because NO ONE DESERVES THAT HATE. Also, he's a softie. PROTECT AT ALL COSTS.

Minhyun- Ah... I don't really pay attention to him because I'm mostly focused on Jonghyun...until he became the center of Never. His behind the scenes video is heartbreaking tho, I just wish the best for him and everyone else in Nu'est.

Jinyoung- HIS. FACE. IS. SO. SMALL?!?! I like him since the Spring Day performance. He covered all the Taehyung parts and he also sounds like Taehyung, so I noticed him and I love his voice. And then he became the center of Hands on Me and I'm a goner.

Sungwoon- He gives an aura of Noh Taehyun (who I noticed in the Shape of You performance), maybe since they're from the same group (Hotshot). He's also close with Jimin (and both of them are cuties), and his voice in Downpour...wow. A well deserved center of Super Hot.

And a few honourable mentions:

Hyunbin- NO. ONE. HURTS. HIM. He's dorky at the beginning of the show, but the hate comments online got to him and he's such a slump during Downpour. But after he got eliminated (which is hella sad), the glow in his eyes came back and he became dorky and cute again. His voice is deep and nice. I think it's time for him to move from YG K+ to YG xD

Sewoon- He looks like someone or something but I couldn't place the resemblence...until someone mentioned Ponyo. You thought he's soft and shy and gentle? Well that's partially correct but he's in fact a huge dork. He has good chemistry with Jaehwan (that hidden box vid got me wheezing). Too bad he couldn't debut.

Jonghyun- *ugly crying sounds* THEY DID HIM SO DIRTY I— forget it. He's an angel and whenever I see him smile I will either smile or cry (it's mostly the latter these days). 

Anyways...I stanned and I see those ads they're shooting and I melt and I scream and I smile so hard my cheeks feel like spliting. I'm not sure if I can stand a disbandment but that's an issue for later. For now...I'll just soft-stan them lol
