Personality 

Protective, clingy and possessive: She grew up as only child, and always wanted to have siblings, but somehow they never came, but Sera always saw her younger friends as siblings back when living in Japan, so she protected them and drowned them with love and affection. Now that she had to leave all of them behind because of her dreams, she grew lonely without them around, and now she barely has any friends because of her idol life, except at college. She sees her groupmates as her little sisters too, and the younger trainees are bound to be loved by her too, as long as they behave. Because of her loneliness, Sera became even clingier, and even possessive over her younger friends. The youngest trainees will definitely be babied by her, since she is experienced and also one of the oldest. (maybe even the oldest)

Captivating and charming: It gave her all the modeling gigs and CF's she got, her charms, visuals, her personality, her total package. She knows how to captivate others with her charms and uses it to her advantage to gain more, just to be able to go on with her band. There is something about the way she walks, talks and just does anything that makes her so captivating, drawing all eyes to her at any time. She even posed in underwear once, and while it went by unnoticed by the general fandom because it was at their deepest point in popularity, the fans really did go crazy over it.

Generous and kind: She does have a lot of money indeed, but like her parents, Sera is very generous and kind, donating to charity regularly and also using it to help out her friends. Their independent comeback was all financed by her and her parents and she is planning on doing that for the rest of the career of Under-flare. She is really kind towards other people, and believes that as long as you treat them nicely, any person will show their good side to you too. She lives by that and barely has anyone that dislikes her.

Ambitious, busy and desperate: Sera still has high hopes for Under-flare, but she knows it's not easy to make those come true. Since their debut, Sera has been composing and arranging their songs, all of them, and she is used to having a busy life because of that. She loves to do it, because it makes the band just so much better, because the same happened to FTisland too. They became -in her opinion- much better after being able to self-compose their songs. She still sets high goals and aims for a win for Under-flare, and it makes her sound really desperate maybe, but she really is. She is desperate to perform again with her girls, her 'babies' from Under-flare. She just wants to sing again, play guitar again, and feel the love from the fans.

Anxious, envious and gloomy: This all came into her head because of the failure and series of unlucky events for Under-flare. She grew anxious, worrying about her band with every step she takes, and she will watch every word on broadcast to not damage her reputation. She was always anxious in nature, worrying about doing well and not offending any friends or abandoning them, but after the car accident, it grew even worse, because they could've all been dead. She is also very envious of the succesful idols, and wonders why they made it while she and her band didn't, they have self-composed songs and real talent, so why didn't they make it and other groups did? She is salty about it from time to time, but is mainly gloomy because of all the troubles. She is usually happy and kind, but she can get sudden mood switches, becoming down because the thoughts made their way into her head again, and then she'll hide away and isolate herself from everyone, sometimes mysteriously disappearing to cry it out somewhere in a secret hiding spot, making everyone concerned.

Background Sera was born blessed, in a rich family as the only child. They lived in a beautiful big beach house right by the Japanese coast, and the family was very popular because they were so nice and lovely despite being really wealthy. They had gained their wealth on their own after all, and gave a lot of their fortune to charity. Their child was also just as sweet as her parents, a beautiful young ray of sunshine of a girl. She was really popular around school, not only because she was rich and had a good family reputation, but because she could just befriend anyone. She didn't even have problems being fully Korean, but that was maybe because her parents were so influential. Her mother always loved to play the guitar, and often played for her little girl, who was always amazed by her mother's skills. Oh how she wanted to learn the same, and actually make it her job later on. It was her childhood dream of becoming a singer with a guitar. And it never changed.

In 2008, she was finally allowed by her parents to try out to become a singer, but she wanted to do it at the country where her roots were, and not debut in a girl group, no, she wanted to shake up the kpop scene with an awesome girl band. But there was a problem, the culture barrier. Her parents did teach her a bit about Korean culture and habits, but it wasn't enough and people would mock her for not knowing about the country of her roots, so she attended a class that teached them. There was a boy who had the same dreams as her, Takuya Terada. He also wanted to debut in Korea, and so they slightly bonded, but on her last lesson, Takuya was suddenly gone. They never saw each other again, and Sera had to admit that she was disappointed. Not so soon after, 18-years old Sera moved to Korea all on her own. She started looking for a company that was willing to make a girl band, and it was a hard journey. Her parents send her a lot of money to be able to still live a luxury life, but she felt lonely, because after being popular and surrounded by friends for her whole life, Sera was suddenly on her own.

After a month doing multiple auditions a week, a company actually accepted her. It was a brand new company and she was their very first trainee. It was Angel entertainment. For a few months, Sera was training on her own, working her off on her vocals and guitar skills, but also practicing some dance just in case, and learning the tricks about composing and arranging. But then, one by one, three other girls joined her, a drummer, a guitarist, a bass. The band was complete and the synergy was great, and Sera was never alone anymore with her girls around. As the oldest and leader, she wanted to protect her girls as much as possible from the upcoming danger from the idol world.

In 2012, their debut finally came, and it was actually a bullseye. A girl band that actually made really good self-composed music. They were really appreciated and gained quite a gathering. At the same time, another group debuted, and they bumped into each other backstage, Ryu Sera, and Takuya Terada. Sera immediately started complaining without even saying hi, why he suddenly left without saying anything and such, and the younger Takuya got intimidated and they didn't talk for a long time again. He did grew up amazing, Sera had to admit, and seeing him but not being able to reach out to him gave her an odd feeling. A familiar feeling, the feeling of missing someone terribly.

The company really rode the momentum of their debut and made two comebacks that year, which were also very well-received. But the fans were getting used to the concept, and when the drummer broke her wrist, they had to take a hiatus. Unfortunately, right when the drummer was able to return, they got into a car accident, and every single one of them was unable to play or perform because of their injuries. Their hiatus lasted for a bit more than a year, and when they returned, it was already 2014, and a lot of people forgot about them, becoming a nugu group that was losing money every comeback. They still tried debuting in Japan, but that made it all even worse, and the group went downhill, untill the company decided to disband them without their consent. Under-flare was gone, or so it seemed. But Sera and the girls didn't want to let it go like that, and spoke against their company, comfirming that they still existed by dropping a comeback completely financed by Sera's family. It still flopped, and they decided to take a break and still see what could happen, at that time, it was summer 2014. Sera decided to go to college and start studying biology, so she could have a plan B after her star career finishes completely, but her visuals were still loved, making a name for herself with various modeling gigs and even CF's, gaining quite some money for her own, which she wisely kept aside for the band. In 2016 after finishing two years of college, Sera met Takuya once again, randomly in the streets of Seoul, she apologised and convinced the nervous boy to get some coffee with her, and they instantly became friends again, and Sera always got that warm and fuzzy feeling when spending time with him. How weird...

Not so long after that, in early 2017, Sera and the girls gathered, thinking it was almost time to drop a song again, their hands were itching to play, they were urging to stand on stage again. But there was a problem, they would get stuck in the nugu gutter again after their long break. Just how would they solve that problem? Sera decided to wait it out and give her and the rest of Under-flare time to think. But the solution basically got thrown on her lap, as Produce 101 season 3 was looking for trainees. They would not get all of the members in, only one, Under-flare thought, and since Sera was the vocalist and most popular member, they decided to send her to the cursed mnet building. Will she be able to regain her popularity and bring Under-flare back to life?

she has a total of five guitars, one acoustic and four electric, for each season: spring, summer, autumn and winter. She will only play on the correct guitar in the season and she brings her acoustic and electric guitar whenever she goes on a trip, and if the season switches during the trip she'll either go home to switch them on the day or bring both of them. She believes that it brings her luck.

She listens to bands like Green day, Blink 182, Relient K and Sum 41 and mainly composes music that's a bit softer like them. Her style varies a lot.

She is one of the few band vocals that actually performs with an idol-like mic that is attached to her ear, she wants it that way because otherwise she would be stuck standing still while singing behind the mic stand, and she wants to roam around freely on stage.

— Best buddy / Yong Aeri / 26 / Friendly, open-minded, stubborn, moody / bassist of Under-flare / The first trainee that joined the company after Sera herself, they are the closest out of all and were also the main ship of the band, so they are used to do a lot of fanservice, but they are generally a very touchy pair of besties and love each other's butts.

— The group's baby / Seo Hyeran / 23 / active, optimistic, boyish, tough / second guitarist of Under-flare / The maknae and second guitarist of Under-flare who is the mood lifter of the bunch, she's a tomboy but she's a very energetic and bubbly girl, always jumping around and rambling on. When everyone else wanted to give up, Hyeran made it so that they changed their minds so they could all keep going together. Sera and the other members baby her a lot.

— good friend / Lee Youngmi / 25 / independent, cool, shy, witty / drummer of Under-flare / Youngmi, as quite the shy girl, had a hard time blending in with the rest of the band at first, but now she feels at ease with the band and practicing is for her a great way to relax. Sera and Youngmi depend on each other a lot and Youngmi loves to tease Sera with anything she does and she's actually the joker of the group now.

Sera is in strong denial that she likes him and he just loves it, teasing her even more. He's just a dork, and that's why Sera loves him, and hates him. She literally tells it to everyone that she hates him with a passion, and the other trainees won't be able to escape her rants over 'that named Takuya, I want to spit him out'.

Trainee years 4 years actual training under Angel entertainment, 3 years promoting as a group and then individual practice for 2 years.

Trainee life Being the very first trainee at Angel entertainment, she was the favourite of the company too, and they always pushed her to the front, even though she wanted to be on the same spot as her bandmates. It often caused disagreements and she hates the company that now doesn't exist anymore. After leaving the company she didn't practice daily with her band, but was always working on music whenever she didn't have to go to college or study.

What was your reason for joining produce 101? I'm only here to stand on stage, perform and save my group. But I would love to meet all the trainees and have a great time with them while we're at it.

What was your main focus when training? vocal? dance? rap? It was always vocals and my guitar skills, but right now I actually want to focus on my dancing, because it's just average, and I also want to pick up some rapping on the way.

What class are you expecting to enter in the first episode? I think I deserve A with my experience and skills, not gonna lie. But since they seem to focus a lot on dancing too, I probably won't be able to get there.

What do you think your final rank will be? I think 15th maybe? I hope to be in the top 20 or 22, because those are the ones who get a lot of attention afterwards too. I just want to get a lot of attention and let my fandom grow.

Do you think you'll be able to make it to the final group? if so, why? Honestly, I don't. Because I am still a rockstar at heart. My main goal isn't to get in the main group either, I just want to gather attention so that Under-flare can return.

What do you think sets you apart from the other trainees on the show? I heard someone else was supposed to become a band member too, but he didn't do so... But I am a rockstar, I am actually an idol currently, even though we've been on hiatus for a while. Under-flare still does exist and we are still alive and kicking. I have a lot of experience, know about the idol world and have already a fandom. That might be to my advantage, but at my disadvantage too, seeing the hate NU'EST got last season... Well it's not like we're as big as them anymore...

What song do you plan to perform for your first evaluation in front of the judges? I will perform an international song! Come right out and say it by Relient K! And I have a surprise for you! (with the surprise she means that she'll play the guitar live along with her singing) And if they ask me to dance, I will do Get Up by EvoL.

Are there any final things you would like to say? Please, please appreciate me and my girls from Under-flare, because we are really itching to stand on stage and release new songs, but we just can't keep going on if we don't get a good response... (her eyes tear up at this moment) Please consider my situation... Our situation... I just want to revive Under-flare. I swear, it will be worth it, so please check us out and support us...
