Unofficial ELF comeback

It's not like I really left the fandom. But I've been too busy with life. Like.... my own relationship? Oh, and my friend sunpetals is married. And I will kinda follow the trend soon. Hahaha!

But I guess I'm getting out of my silence because Super Junior is making a comeback as a group. And along with it comes the problem between some ELF and the situation surrounding Youngwoon and Sungmin.

ELF, let me make a proposal. Let me make a suggestion that would be beneficial for both the members and ELF, REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE. Because here is the thing, and yeah, I am talking about you K-ELF. Kicking Youngwoon and Sungmin out will NOT be beneficial for the group. It will cause a major destruction within the group and it will be soon enough, it will make the members re-think of their place within the group. Add the fact that it may cause depression to Sungmin, especially Kang In, and would cause more problems than contain it. Remember K-ELF, Super Junior passed the 10-year mark already; NO MATTER WHAT ACTIONS THE REMAINING MEMBERS DO IN THE FUTURE, THE NAME 'SUPER JUNIOR' WILL BE PART OF THEM. It didn't create a huge impact for Hankyung and Kibum because frankly, the international recognition happened AFTER their inactivity/departure. But at this point; they have gone past the term of friends. They already are family to each other. AND SO I GIVE YOU THIS QUESTION: SHOULD A FAMILY DISOWN A MEMBER FOR THE REASON THAT THEY CAN'T BE LIKE THE REST OF THEM? We all have in our own families, a sibling, a cousin, an uncle or aunt, or even nieces or nephews, that somehow created a huge scandal or error that affects the whole. But does that mean we have to disown them? DOES THAT MEAN WE HAVE TO RUIN THEM TO PRESERVE THE REMAINING 'GOOD' ONES? If you still can't see the point I am making, then maybe you need to let go of your hypocrisy.

But their actions need to be punished. We don't disown our erring family members; WE DISCIPLINE THEM. And so, going back to my proposal, let me itemize it per member:

SUNGMIN - His fault mainly stemmed from the fact that he couldn't even communicate to s well even after a decade has passed. Yeah, he's kind of like a jerk, but being an ELF for almost 11 years (in August baby!), I kind of seen that side of him every now and then. Let's be real, among members, he's the MOST average member. He sings well, but doesn't get enough recognition to do a solo. He's a great dancer, but he will always be behind Hyukjae, Shindong and Donghae. He HATES being the center of attention, so while he's okay doing variety, he's one of the members who gets the least screen time. He plays a lot of instruments, but doesn't go as far as composing like what Donghae or even Leeteuk had done. He quietly does what was thrown at him. Since ELF says he's cute, he acts cute; but even their stylists says it's the total opposite of his personality. His marriage was unexpected, but having watched him as a fan for a decade, he never do things without a reason. A K-ELF who isn't part of the #Sungminout tirade disclosed that she thinks he did it because of a purely personal reason, like health. Remember, Sungmin has some health conditions way before he became a member, he only tries hard not to make it an issue. So what to do with Sungmin? Let him stay. Let him earn back the love that might have been lost. He hurt some fans; and that is true. But that was more because of his inability to stand out for himself. Make him do SJ promotions, AND RESTRICT HIM FROM DOING OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT IS NOT SJ-RELATED. And yeah, give a bit of a warning to Sa Eun unnie, she's fricken' compounding the problem. Silence is a good way to dissipate the negative emotions. But seriously, she has to do that.... *face palm*

Kang In: This one is tricky, because if Sungmin hurt our feelings, Youngwoon broke our hearts. Remember the saying, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me"? This matter is by no means a 'shame on me' kind of situation. He did it to himself, BUT I won't agree to him leaving the group. Like I said, we don't kick a family member out for any reason, HOWEVER, we really need to discipline Youngwoon once and for all. So here is my suggestion: KEEP HIM IN THE GROUP; MAKE HIM PARTICIPATE IN THE ALBUM BUT NOT IN ACTUAL PROMOTIONS. That means I DON'T WANT TO SEE HIM PROMOTE WITH THE GROUP EXCEPT IN A SUPER SHOW. No traces of him in the Music Video, in the live promotions, fansign events, fanmeetings, variety shows, series whatever that will require him to appear in front of the camera. He will ONLY appear during a Super Show and ONLY if he publicly apologizes. How long should that punishment happen? Until Kyuhyun gets discharged from his duties as a public servant and that is after 24 months. He needs to understand that while he is family, he broke the law. He isn't unforgivable, but we need time to make him realize that this will be the last straw. Accepting him will be hard for us too, and that is why I can't simply forgive him right away, unlike when he first did it in 2009 and we justified that he was just being immature, he's aleady 32 y/o (Korean age: 34) for fricken' sakes. He got away before by enlisting in the military, but this time he can't simply hide himself away and expect no backlash.

So yeah, I hope this gets to other ELF and to other K-ELF. I'll try and communicate with the old K-ELF I know, but I wonder if they will accept the proposition.
