how did they end up in seoul: she has always lived in seoul.

lifestyle: she's a recent college grad. she rents a really dingy apartment in the middle of seoul and goes to work every morning. she is an intern at a pr office and her coworkers mistreat her a lot (not just because she's an intern, but also because she's really gullible). they make up excuses that she always believes to make her do their work. and in the end she doesn't get any credit for it. she doesn't resent any of them but pretty tired all the time so she wants to get a new job but it's pretty hard to find one since she's a recent college grad and this is the only experience she has. the people she works with wouldn't give her a good rec, too, so... she's kind of at a loss right now. her only solace is going to karaoke bars by herself after work.

she hangs out with friends occasionally but she's usually tired so it doesn't happen very often. she doesn't have time for any hobbies. on the weekends she has to go back to her old house to take care of her brother.

park jinsoo / 13: surprisingly, jinsoo has a really nice personality even though areum spoiled him his entire life. the two get along well. jinsoo loves his sister, probably more than he loves his parents since they're never around. he feels really bad that she has to come over every weekend but he can't get her to stop. so when she comes over he tries his best to help her with chores. areum absolutely adores him.

choi mina / 25: one of areum's only decent coworkers. she yells at the other people in the office when areum doesn't stand up for herself (which is all the time). but it just ends up with them asking areum if she's okay with the work and areum always says yes, and then mina ends up looking like a . despite this, mina doesn't hate areum. they have lunch together everyday. areum thinks mina is really cool but she's too afraid to ask her to hang out. mina thinks areum is helpless and can't help but look after her.

taemin is areum's neighbor. he's a dancer who is always looking for work. areum admires him because he looks like he really enjoys his life. they met when areum came home after a drinking party and accidentally walked into his house (he forgot to lock his door that day). she fell asleep on his couch and woke up the next day on a bed instead. apparently when he came home from dance rehearsal, he carried her to his bed. she was super embarrassed but also really smitten once she realized that he didn't kick her out of his house.

ever since then she has been crushing on him, but she's way too afraid to do anything about it. they talk occasionally, since sometimes she sees him when she leaves for work. sometimes they go grocery shopping together.
