Why do authors deactivate their accounts? I find it really offending. I mean, I read and love their stuff and then the next thing you know they are gone. It's like they don't care about the feelings of the readers who valued their work. You guys don't only have bashers and haters you also have fans. FYI we didn't read garbage that you just discard as if it's trash. Especially me, I don't normally comment on fics buy when I do, it means I love and is fond of the piece. Most of them are fics i grew attached to it or most likely inspired me to go on with my daily life. Some of the fics are actually life saver, you know? And some even teaches you to be a better person and appreciate stuff. It's not just a fanfic for other people, it's actually more. And it's not just a something to pass time by, sometimes it helps to get us by after an awful day. Idk if the authors knows feel the same way since they ptobably read other stuff but seriously don't just deactivate.

honestly it's the author's decision to deactivate. it's their original work so if they no longer want it posted, then it's their own decision and that's that. i honestly thought about deactivating recently but i use aff for collabs and stuff so i chose not to. i did delete a lot of my works that i no longer liked. i gave a heads up and let readers save what they wanted, but just cuz one person likes a certain story i no longer like, i'm not gonna keep it up. it was my writing, my work, and if i don't want it up anymore, it's my decision.
