35 Questions about writer (tagged by dandelion_26 I think...)

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

It came from my obsession for Japanese band, L'Arc-en-Ciel during middle school. I just mashed up words when I started learning French in high school and coined the name Lumienarc Hanayuki from my favourite things (I love snowflakes aka snowflower).

2. Which is your most subscribed to this day?

It used to be "Octopus Pot", but now it's "I Hate You".

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Because, obviously, I'm worth it.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I don't have bestie. I have several treasured friends, though.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

I read every TaecKhun stories again, and again, and again, and again. Also  many other fanfics that aren't available in AFF and are not about idols.

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

Not much, I don't read fanfic much.

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

Many AUs, I reckon, because I love to put my favourite idols in worlds closer to the end of the universe. Mostly I write fantasy and action.

8. How many friends do you have?

Like 35 or something, but I don't know why anyone would add me as their friends sometimes (lol)

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

No. I am one fearless author (lol) but I do feel cautious when I write in my native language, especially when I write under my own name, but I have no fear for what I want to write. I don't want to limit myself. I used to give restrictions about the content I write such as it must be free from gay and ual themes, but that was from my teenage years. I use stories to share my thoughts on real issues happening around us and I want to portray a story as realistic as possible because in the end, writing is not about the writer, it's about the readers.

11. How many subscribers do you have?

Unique: 205

Total: 365

I'd say that my readers are quite loyal seeing the number (lol)

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

Here in AFF I have initially nine threads, one of them is a oneshot collection. I deleted two threads.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

Didn't count them, but at least 30.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

Everyone knows one has to write the ideas down every single time. No matter where or when the ideas attack. Else one will lose the details that comes with the attack and somehow reduce the quality of the ideas.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Technically once, but I actually just do proofreading and sometimes beta-reading the story rather than co-author it.

16. How did you discover AFF?

Don't remember. Haha. Could be because I was looking for some K-pop ffs to quench my thirst and I just happened to run into it.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Absolutely not, but in TaecKhun fandom, I think I probably am because I am the most active TaecKhun fanfic writer today, I suppose. (No kidding, really lol)

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

Nope. I'm not that famous. Unless you count peasants or sentients as nickname.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

I started writing looooong before AFF was founded, so... no one did. Therefore, specifically speaking, candellasa inspired me to write about TaecKhun (their TaecKhun fanfics were actually the base for mine, actually) and it's all I have been doing in AFF recently, so... yeah.

20. How many karma points do you have?

200-something. I am not rich. (Lol)

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Just keep writing. If you love your story and characters, keep writing. Even if no one comments on your posted story, keep writing. If you get discouraged by mean comments and such, look forward and keep writing. I know it's a hard thing to do, giving a part of your time to write a lot to receive only a fragment, but if your motivation is not fame and more like writing about something you love, then don't stop. Practice makes perfect. No one starts perfectly, except God (or gods) and Kongo Agon.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I reckon I always do it half and half, depends on how complicated the story is. Sometimes I plan thoroughly, sometimes I just go mindlessly and trust my hands. Generally, I plan some key scenes and the ending in addition to the beginning and background, but sometimes I don't know how to end it.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Bad comment? Unfortunately no. Bad review? Yes. Not exactly bad, but the points pointed out in the review hit my nerve. Since I am very defensive about my stories, I feel wronged when some elements of my stories are considered as "thing you should not put", especially when those elements I decide purposely. The farthest I have gone was deleted the reviewed story and its supposedly sequel.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

No hard time, just challenging I suppose. After writing and reading for a long time, I think there is almost no basic type of scenes that I haven't written, so to make them not repetitive is the real challenge instead of just about writing them, especially y stuffs.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

I am going to finish "I Hate You" and then a oneshot for Taecyeon Day, and other three stories I haven't quite worked on them lately.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

I don't just plan, I start it before I finish my ongoing stories actually.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

No, I just try to write as much as possible.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

If one doesn't improve in the thing one does, then it does not worth to keep doing it. Of course, I have improved (I started years ago, over a decade), and am still improving, there is always a room for improvements.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

I don't play favourites. If I revisit an old story and it is too bad for my current taste, I will just rewrite it.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

It should be one of the posted ones nine years ago, I reckon. Ones that I stopped writing.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

One can hope, but I foresee that myself would still be as I am today, writing for myself.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

Not much, maybe ten or so.

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Starting the story, gathering information and doing research to prepare the backgrounds.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Finishing the last couple of chapters. Not because I can't find the ending, but because I just don't want to stop writing the story (I get really attached to my stories like an overbearing parent)

35. Why do you write?

I was born to write. Hahaha. But in the serious note, it is the easiest way for me to express myself and channel my creativity. It doesn't have limits and it just keeps giving me a reason to live.

I was born to write too :P
And your reason for the thumbnail/photo xD you're definitely worth it lol
I like to be friends with people both entirely different to me and people as crazy and psycho and Taeckhun-shipping as me so I guess that's why i like being your friend as well as me being the author-that-you're-being-a-beta-reader-slash-editor to (I don't recall there being a name. Was there a name?)
