I will always remember this date. Why? Because this is date I met Ji ChangWook face to face and so close For Real. 

2 weeks (or maybe less) prior to this date, I am very surprised to know that Ji ChangWook is indeed coming to my country, Malaysia for a TvN special event. When I read he is coming on the 8th I wasn't quite sure he can make it as he has a fanmeeting in Hong Kong the very next day (9 March). About a week later, it is confirmed he is indeed coming to Kuala Lumpur to promote Fabricated City that will be showing in Malaysia and Singapore from 20th April and also as special guest for TvN Movies launching in Malaysia. I AM SO EXCITED TO KNOW THAT OPPA IS INDEED COMING TO MY COUNTRY FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!. 

But, I am a little sad to know later that the event is indeed a private event. only media and selected people will have a chance to meet him upclose. By selected people here it means contest winner. And the contest mainly is for HyppTV subscriber (as HyppTV is the main sponsor) for the event. Knowing well that i have no luck in winning contest, I decided to go to the airport to greet him when he arrived. But I still join any contest avaiable to try my luck. 

Fast forward to 7 April 2017, the day oppa arrived in Malaysia. I took a day off from work (that shows how excited I am) to get ready and meet oppa at the airport. I met my friend earlier that day to go together to the airport. Oppa will be arriving together with Jessica Jung (both of them are having different event, but on the same day), so I expected the airport will be many people as Jessica has a lot of fans. When I arrived at the airport it is indeed many people but to my surprise MOST of them are Ji ChangWook's fans. I never knew that he has so many fans here as his drama is not as popular as other actors and are not show on Malaysian TV. Thanks to the power of online drama portal, now more people know him. So i quickly get a spot near the VIP exit to have a good view of him. When I arrived, there are still not many people there but as time passed by more and more people arrived and the place become very crowded. I find a new place so that I can have a good spot coz this might be my only chance to see him in my country. Luckily I find a higher spot where no one can block my view. 

11.30 pm, finally oppa came out from the VIP exit. The situation is CHAOTIC. Fans are screaming as they see him. People are running and pushing. The bodyguards guarded him well and oppa keep his cool and still smiling despite of the situation. I get a glimpse of him for a minute, then I walk behind him and keep staring at his back of the neck. it ry to go in front but the amount of people pushing is CRAZY!. I manage to get to his van and wait at the side then oppa suddenly pull down the window and wave to his fan for a while. I was shocked as I am not expected him to do so. Silly me I do not recorded it. 

Then I made my way back home, on the way back, i received a message from one of the contest admin and saying I WON THE GRAND PRIZE AWARD. The prizes are 1) A special meet and greet session with Ji CHang Wook with photo op. and 2) Invitation to Gala Premiere of Fabricated City. I was caught by surprise that I really win that contest. Coz the amount of people participating in that particular contests are thousands and I am shocked I am onbe of the 3 lucky winners. I was about to shout in the bus coz I never win such a great prize like this. Meaning to say, I WILL MEET HIM AGAIN THE NEXT DAY and this time around it will be upclose and without hundred of crazy screaming girls. Lol. 

I can hardly sleep that night, I was thinking what I need to wear and what make up should i put to look pretty for oppa. I was behaving like a teen girl going out for her first date with her crush. i think fangirls know how it feels. That dugeun dugeun feeling to meet your oppa. Those oppa that you always see in your TV is now might be only half a meter in front of you. 

D-day

I woke up quite early that morning and get ready and be pretty. I am so excited to meet him that I arrived the venue quite early and the first person to register (that just show how excited I am)! We need to wait outside until the PC to end before we can go in. I was somewhere in the middle of the line so i don't knowif I can be the first person of the group to go up and get a best spot to take a picture with him. Best Spot here MUST BE NEXT TO HIM. Luck was really on my side that day, I was the 2nd person to go up for the 3rd group. When I go up on stage, I quickly get a spot on his left. He greeted the person before me first before turning to me and greet me and give a high-5. OMG, Ji Chang Wook is really looking at me i the eye and he is freaking next to me. His elbow is touching my shoulder. That is how close we are. After taking group photo, he high-5 back all the fans on stage, and it will be my second high-5 of the day! Only me and the person before me get a high-5 upon getting on the stage out of the ~100 fans. Maybe we are the special chosen one for him. :) 

When I get down from the stage, I feel like I am dreaming. Never thought that I will standing right beside Ji ChangWook. Oppa is tall. My height is at his shoulder ( I am standard asian woman height, 155cm) and seeing him less than 5 inch away, he is asdfghjllpmbnvbjkeiein HANDSOME. He is like a walking scuplture, If you think he is handsome on screen, he is 10 times more handsome realife!. 

Then at night, i enter the Gala Premiere, My seat is the 5th row from front. Ji ChangWook didn't watch the movie together (as he needs to get back to hotel and rest)  but he did came to the movie hall and greet the viewers. Once again oppa is merely 2m away from me. He greet us for 5 minutes and ask us to enjoy the movie as we are the first few people who get to watch the movie ahead from the release date. 

8 April 2017 will always be a memorable date for me that I will cherish forever.
