PERSONALITY Gentle, Caring, Quiet, Reliable, Peaceful/forgiving, shy, passive aggressive, people pleaser/doormat, timid
Chai is a gentle and loving girl who always wants what is best for people. If a member is sick or in trouble, you can count on Chai to try to be there for her. She had a lot of love growing up, and she tries to give everyone else as much love as she was given. When she cares for you, it is not in big ways, but is small quiet ways that add up over time. She believes that everyone should be treated equally, from people to animals, and she tries to show an open mind when getting to know someone. While quiet and not a person of many words, you know that you can count on Chai because she is very reliable. When she makes a promise, she tries her hardest to keep that promise and complete it to the best of her ability. She loves when everyone gets along, and she is quiet frequently the peacemaker in the group because of her usual fairness. While Chai does love people, she is usually pretty shy. She will not be the first to approach anyone, and if they do approach her, it will take a while before she opens up and is a bit more engaging. Most of the time, she just doesn't go out of her way to draw attention to herself. She is also very passive aggressive. Some think that because she is so nice and quiet, that she does not get angry, but it is actually the opposite. She can and will get angry when she feels wronged or used, and while she will remember everything, she just won't voice it. Over time, if the perceived wrong against her continues, she will eventually blow up on the person. It could be a series of little things, and when she finally breaks down and just yells at the person, she won't stop until she feels more calm and she has listed everything they ever did to make her mad. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it usually doesn't fit the situation. (ex. Someone stole her food from the fridge again, and it is the same person that has been antagonizing her for a while, so she just starts to scream at them, with everyone else initially thinking it is only over food). The reason why people think that is okay to do things to her is because she is a people pleaser. She has her own opinions, but she likes getting along more than she likes getting her own way, so Chai tends to just follow the crowd. Even if she doesn't agree, she will only express her annoyance passive aggressively, making the other person not even realize that she is annoyed with them. She is also quiet timid. She is scared of a lot of things/easily frightened, though she tries her best to overcome those fears so that she does not burden everyone else.
TIMELINE Chai knew she wanted to join the Kpop idol world when she went to South Korea with her classmates when she was 13 and saw SNSD perform. It was easy for her rich parents to be able to afford to send her to Korea after she got the best vocal and dance lessons that money could afford.Went to Korea and lived with older cousin until she was scouted by DSP before she even started to audition. Entered the company and trained for 4 years, debuting as the main vocal at 18 for April. Didn't feel like the songs or concept was for her, and DSP was not very good at treating their trainees or groups right. One of Chai's cousins worked at Lustre Entertainment and told Song Jiseong about Chai and a few of the other members discontent and Jiseong took the opportunity to poach the girls from DSP. Jiseong was only interested in Chai and the lead vocal, and they both realized a better opportunity when they saw it. Unfortunately, the lead vocal tricked Chai into believing that she was going to leave as well, and once Chai broke her DSP contract, she told Chai that she was not going to leave DSP. So Chai's main vocal position was taken by the lead vocal and when Chai debuts in Amore, it causes a scandal because people think that she is a traitor for leaving, calling her fame and causing April's fame to grow slightly along with Amore. [I literally have nothing against April or DSP, they were just the first group to come to mind because you had their song as Amore's debut song]
CONNECTIONS
Song Jiseong: Chai knows that most of the other members have a lot of problems with Song Jiseong, but Chai actually likes and admires her. Sure, she critisizes her a lot, but it always ends up helping her, and she went through a lot worse with the trainers at DSP. Song Jiseong is not sure what to think of Chai. She is quiet, but she is talented and dilegently works without giving her too much (cough Han Aeri cough). If there was something she would fix about Chai it would be her doormat mentality. It is good for Jiseong now because no push back with decisions, but she does begrudgingly care for the girls and she doesn't want anyone but herself to take advantage of Chai.
Han Aeri (if chosen): tba
members: tba
J-Hope: friend to dating. (More if chosen)
Kamlai and Chaelom Adirake: her mother and father whom she love very much and tries to contact often
TRIVIA
Likes: chicken, American food, drawing, reading, candy, stargazing, the quiet, camping, skin ship and romance, chai tea, flowers, the beach on a windy day, Winter and everything cold, hot chocolate, babies, sugar, sleeping, family
Dislikes: the heat, losing weight, arguments, condescending people, too many vegetables, horror movies, too intense pranks, people biting fingernails, people taking her food or clothes without asking, getting sick, liars, argumentative people, bad attention or too much attention, sore losers, fried onions, rumors and gossip
Hobbies and Habbits: she typically speaks with a soft voice, paces and repeats things when scared, playing with her hair when distracted, she speaks in English if she ever gets super excited, reading or sleeping in car rides to distract herself from getting carsick, eating sweet things, talking to her family, watching American comedies and Korean dramas, listening to French songs because she thinks the vocals and everything about them are really soothing
Trivia: she has a lot of tiny fears, like ghosts and the dark. But she usually gets over them. Its just that she is easily frightened in the moment. She does have a huge fear of heights though. She would forget to breath and pass out if she ever had to do something like bungee jump, sky-dive, roller coasters, etc; She can bake/cook things that require simple instructions, but any further and she is hopeless; She has glasses, but most of the time she wears contacts; She really wants to go on Running Man to see if the cast is actually like that: is Jong Kook really that strong, is Jae Suk really that funny, is Kwang Soo really that bad of a traitor, etc; She writes in her life journal at the end of every day because she wants to see how she has changed when she writes on the same date the next year; she is really good at making dreamy and far off expressions, so she really wants to try a fantasy concept.
