On March 14, SM Entertainment's executive prodcucer Lee Soo Man and Super Junior's Leeteuk attended the Indonesia-Korea Business Summit 2017.

During the summit, Lee Soo Man spoke about his plans for SM Entertainment to further business ventures in Indonesia, saying, "After the spread of Korean music, dramas, and various contents, Hallyu culture also became diffused in Indonesia, and after Super Junior's first Indonesia concert in April of 2012, many other K-Pop artists followed suit by visiting Indonesia, with SM also holding annual SM Town concerts. The internet and online platforms have made it even easier to enjoy K-Pop, and I find it very pleasing that the country who gave SMTOWN's Facebook page the most 'likes' is Indonesia."

He continued, "In 2016, we launched global idol group NCT (Neo Culture Technology), and we are in the process of producing a group who will promote as a cultural part of cities throughout the world. As a part of this process, we plan on launching our first ever auditions in Indonesia, in order to select members to join NCT's Asia team. Just like NCT's current foreign members - Winwin, Chen Le, and Renjun from China, Yuta from Japan, Ten from Thailand, and more, we plan on producing a team catered to Southeast Asia including Indonesia, so that this Asian team can become a world-wide star."

Lee Soo Man also expressed intentions for SM Entertainment to partner up with Indonesian businesses in the near future, creating joint business ventures, and more.
