▷ Seijuro — named after the character Seijuro Akashi from Kuroko no basuke, because they both have con heterochromia.
▷ Rikka — same explanation as above, but this one is used instead, named after Rikka Takanashi from Chuunibyou demo koi ga ai, when they want to , make him mad or annoy him.
▷ Ace — the nickname the teachers at school gave him, because he always used to ace most of his tests. The company picked it as his stage name afterwards, but Dongmin himself doesn't like it at all, because it puts too much pressure on him, and is too cliché.

HOMETOWN : Gyeongju and Seoul, South-Korea (he officially still lives with his parents in Gyeongju, but he has actually barely been home since he was 16, living in Seoul with a friend)

APPEARANCE : Dongmin is well-known for two things, his extremely strong eyebrow game and his con heterochromia, having one dark brown and one almost black eye. He has a tattoo on his back, saying 'son of god', this is especially to boost his confidence and get rid of his anxiety for a bit. His style is pretty neat, proper and simple, and he looks at his best when wearing formal clothing. He has had quite a lot of haircolors and styles already, going from sides shaved and black to a slicked sideways blue hairdo. He thinks he looks best with the grey-blue and the light brown. When he stays at home or just trains, he prefers to just wear comfortable clothes and keep his hair messy. His body is that of a model, pretty tall, broad shoulders and a slim waist, his body literally goes \  / and he is not afraid to show his tattoo or abs. He has a lot of appeal, and that is accentuated by his voice, and on top of that his smile is really bright, and his laugh is really addicting and loud.

PERSONALITY : There's basically two sides to Dongmin, the harsh co-leader with anger issues named Ace, and the insecure and shy boy named Dongmin, who just wants the best for s.

Ace is mainly a mask, because Dongmin believes that being strict and angry makes you improve faster, as he has been teached. He is afraid to reveal who he really is to the others, because he's afraid that they will laugh at him, just for being himself, and that he'll lose his power and position in the group. So he puts on the mask of a dedicated and disciplined perfectionist, who always makes the right decisions and isn't afraid to yell at others. When one of the boys disobeys him, he just yells at them, maybe even hits them, but then he would suddenly disappear to cool down and cry, because he did it again. He's really excitable and moody and gets irritated at the least, so the other members mostly make sure to watch their steps and words when he's around. He looks scary and all. He means it all to do good, but there's one thing he is really worried about. His anger issues are NOT a mask. He is just naturally hot-headed, and being pulled in this persona makes it even worse. His anger issues and aggressiveness that came with this persona really worry him, and he's frightened that he'll bring too much damage to the group. But he just wants everything to be so perfect, and anger and strictness is the best way to achieve it, that has been rammed into his brains by his teachers when Dongmin was just a young child.

The real side of Dongmin is actually completely different, except for the anger issues. He's intelligent and alert, he will always notice it immediately when someone's having troubles, but he's just so afraid to take care about them, so instead he asks one of s to go to ask them what's wrong. He's really dedicated to the group and extremely loyal, he would never want to leave, and he would never want to see someone else leaving either, except the lionfish. He's extremely protective over s, especially over blobfish, and is also possessive over her, but tries to hide it as much as possible, because he's so socially awkward and shy. Especially around girls, when he's talking to blowfish when he isn't angry, he turns into a stuttering and blushing mess. That's what he actually is, a mess. An invisible, emotional mess. He's anxious about what everyone thinks of him, about his role in the group and about his anger issues. He's insecure about his skills and his image, and really pessimistic at times. He also regrets the choices he has made a lot, but he has to keep going, keep on wearing that mask, because otherwise he will lose his power as co-leader, and the group will collapse, that's what the boy thinks. Another surprising characteristic of him is that he's actually very clumsy, dropping things frequently, tripping and breaking stuff, but also very emotional, after he had an anger attack, Dongmin has to go lock himself up somewhere to cry bitter tears of regret, without never properly apologising, just because he's so afraid. Another point about him is that he's the one who has the most trouble waking up, but a lot of the members don't even dare to wake him up

BACKGROUND : Already from day one, a lot was expected from Dongmin, coming from a wealthy family of doctors. He was expected to be the #1 of school and become a doctor himself, but even though he was really smart, he always slacked off, because he wasn't someone who liked studying. The young boy soon was forced to get homeschooling, and the teacher was incredibly strict, just like his parents. They indoctrined him with their own opinion, that anger and strictness is the best way to improve faster, that with being nice, you would not get anywhere. But Dongmin was a very nice person, and hated it. He aced his tests and had top grades, but yet it wasn't enough for his parents, it never was. He had to read more books, he had to become stronger, he had to become like them. Young Dongmin was disgusted, he didn't want to become a doctor at all, especially not someone like his parents. The boy often locked himself up in the room to listen to music, it was his way of escaping from the life that had been premade to him. He often sang and rapped along, and he noticed that he was actually quite good. The boy dreamed of learning how to drum, but his parents would always slap him when he dared to ask, because music was not something he should do, he wasn't destined to do music, he was destined to become a doctor. But Dongmin knew what he wanted to do, he wanted to become a star, and tell everyone that they could do what they want to do, and not what their parents wanted them to do. He wanted to pursue in music. At age of 16, Dongmin ran away from his home and travelled to Seoul all on his own. He never had any friends, except for his neighbour and cousin, who helped him out with his dreams, because both of them aspired to become idols too. His neighbour dragged him with her into Lemon entertainment, now 6 years ago, and both of them got accepted.

In Lemon entertainment, Dongmin could finally be himself, but that wasn't good. Other trainees laughed at him for being so socially awkward and shy around girls, and while his neighbour defended him, everyone else either laughed, or ignored. He was really not loved in the company, while he did nothing wrong. He had a lot of potential, and the visuals too, but the other trainees kept bringing him down so he could not improve. The staff saw that, and isolated him off from the rest, and he could finally develop his skills better. While many of the trainees thought that he actually left the company, he was self-studying and getting private lessons instead. His neighbour was the only one who still talked to him, she was very close to debuting with Royal court, but at the last moment she was kicked out for fighting another trainee, what she was fighting over? Dongmin, she was defending Dongmin. He felt extremely guilty, but the girl, Yumi, didn't really mind. She stayed in Seoul to study at college instead, and she offered Dongmin to live with her in her apartment, which was way better than his single room with barely any furniture and no real bed. Not long after that, Dongmin was put in the line-up of SEAing, they appointed him to the co-leader spot. Everyone fell out of the sky, was Dongmin still trainee at Lemon entertainment?? Where has he been all this time? Why was he the co-leader? Dongmin had an anxiety attack, they would laugh at him again and such. The members were luckily either new faces or the ones that had ignored him, but he still thought that he had to be a strong leader. Then he thought of what his parents and teachers used to say. Anger and strict way of handling is the best way to improve the fastest. Dongmin immediately felt responsible and protective over s, so he decided that he had to put on the mask. The mask of anger, arrogance and pride. That was the turning point, the start of his breaking process. But there was one person who secretly kept him from breaking completely, the blobfish. But since then he has only been becoming angrier and more aggressive. But he hopes that a day will come that people will listen to his real self, appreciate him and that he can get along with every single member without anxiety, anger or fright. The day that he could smile freely and laugh with the others.

TRAINEE LIFE

 

YEARS OF TRAINING : 6 years at Lemon entertainment

TRAINEE EXPERIENCE : he had no trouble with classes, but was picked on and trainees either bullied or ignored him. The company didn't want to let a trainee with so much potential go because of the misbehavior of other trainees, so they let him self-study and follow private lessons, other trainees thought that he had actually left the company. The staff knows how he's like for real, so they worry a lot about him, especially the managers. The company gave him Ace as stage name, in an attempt to give his confidence a boost and make him feel better, but it only makes him more pressured. The company cares a lot about his emotional state, because he is greatly skilled and has an overload of visual and appeal, accompanied with a y baritone voice.

SCHOOL LIFE : He stopped school at age of 16, because he ran away from his parents to become a trainee. Before that he was homeschooled, and was basically a few years ahead of the others because he was forced to work way more than the usual students, he has no certificate of finishing school, but he is at a higher level of intelligence than most of the students who did finish school.

CURRENT LIFESTYLE : he lives at a small apartment together with his childhood neighbour, Yumi, who is a college student nearby. He is very glad that he can live with her, because otherwise he had to live in a single room apartment without a real bed and with a shared bathroom with other people, kinda like a hotel. Both him and his housemate work part-time at a cafe together as waiters.

She is a very bright person who often visits him whenever she has the time just to take care of him, protect him and cheer him up. Dongmin admires his cousin a lot, and is incredibly glad that he has someone like her by his side, to keep him from becoming an angry monster or a complete mess. When she visits, everyone forgets about Dongmin's issues for a while, and is friendly to both him and his cousin, because she's a rising star. These two broke free from their doctor family together, and show that their family is overflowed with visual.

▷ childhood neighbour, now housemate — Oh Yumi (21) | college student, ex-trainee at Lemon | possessive, perfectionist, protective, bookworm, clever | Yumi is the girl who takes the most care of Dongmin, she was the one who dragged him into Lemon, she literally fought for him there, and got kicked out right before debuting with Royal Court. Since then, Dongmin has a disliking towards Royal Court, because that group mostly existed of the ones who bullied him and got his friend's career ruined. She shrugged off, because she had a plan B, and she's now a college student, aspiring to become a high school teacher. She offered Dongmin to live in her apartment and they now share the cost.


▷ protector — Lume (23) | member of Royal court | hardworking, outgoing, aggressive, overprotective | she is the only member of Royal Court that Dongmin likes, since she has protected him occasionally before. Especially since the main enemy was Marcus, the one she despises. He admires her a lot and used to have a crush on her, but since he became part of SEAing, their relationship got a bit troubled, because he's getting anger issues. Lume knows that it is because of how he is acting, but still doesn't like it.

RIVALS/ENEMIES :


▷ despised — Marcus (27) | member of Royal Court | Sensitive, possessive, short-tempered, persistent, perceptive, mischievous, blunt, talkative, philosophical, passionate, **skeptical, unfair | He didn't really bully Dongmin, but he did sort of pull the strings from time to time, or provoked them to make it worse and escalate. They absolutely despise each other and they have fought fysically before.

MEMBERS OF SEAING:
▷ Catfish — They don't get along at all, and even if Dongmin is in his real self, they wouldn't get along at all, because she is so rude against guys. Why is she even the leader, he thinks she's even a worse choice than him.
▷ blobfish — Oh, the blobfish... He's always the least angry at her, because he is madly in love with her. He doesn't know what she thinks of him, but he has been showing his real self bit by bit. Because she seems a nice girl. When he happens to yell at her because he can't control himself, he immediately runs away to lock himself away and cry it out, because he just yelled at the one he loves. He is extremely protective and possessive over her.
▷ Pufferfish — when he yells at pufferfish, it feels like his heart is constantly being stabbed. He thinks pufferfish is actually very nice, and that when he could be who he is freely, that they would really get along. He is always careful to be calmer against pufferfish, not intending to hurt him.
▷ Angelfish — The one he lashes out at the most, because Dongmin knows that she hates blobfish, HIS blobfish, and he hates anyone who hates her.
▷ Clownfish — He's okay, really, but Dongmin yells at him a lot when having his mask on, because he pokes fun at other members and sometimes he's just a bit annoying. But except for that, he's really okay. If he could, Dongmin would laugh with his jokes, but for now he can't show his contagious laughter yet.
▷ Lionfish — They fight all the time, and even when Dongmin isn't having anger issues or having his 'Ace mask', he ing despises her. She's rude, and he doesn't want her to be in his group.
▷ Goldfish — These two strangely get along, probably because goldfish knows how he really is, since he was supposed to debut together with Yumi, so he knows Yumi well and knows about what's going on with Dongmin.
▷ Jellyfish — When he's having his Ace persona, he dislikes Jellyfish, but he secretly likes him/her and wants to befriend them.

MANAGERS:
▷ Sejin — Sejin worries a lot about Dongmin's state and they are surprisingly close, since the staff know about his case and what happened before he debuted, they worry a lot and constantly tell Sejin to watch out that Dongmin doesn't do wrong things, often stopping him from having an anger outburst. They care a lot for each other, and Dongmin also feels protective over Sejin.
▷ Yoomi — even though they fight and bicker a lot, Yoomi is exactly the same as Sejin, being extremely worried about Dongmin and taking care of him. When he's down and regretful, Yoomi is often the one to comfort him, because Sejin is often too anxious that he'll mess up. Dongmin admires and looks up to the managers a lot.
