also make sure the links are from the listed website such as tumblr, imgur, flickr etc.. sometimes, random links won't work.

For the profile avatar, simply go to your profile, and under the avatar, you will see "Set avatar." Click that and paste in a URL, and you're good!As for the story cover, when you're editing the Description and Foreword, scroll to the very bottom and you'll find the area where you can paste the URL of your story cover. Hope this helps!
