A : Well... I think people see me as a helpful person. I can get too done on them when the same damage has been done a few times in the past, but I'll say that it's bits of conscience. I don't like it that much either, but when people thinks I'm being kind, it's not exactly for reasons they wanted.
Q : You don't really think you're a sappy pushover?
A : What? (jooyoung tilts her head) no. I don't really think I am that weak to begin with. I just hate to see people failing completely... is that too overdramatic? or maybe that's how sympathy works. and i think i have enough self-awareness of a human being to actually not fall over.
Q : But you notice you're not being appreciated either.
A : i'm pretty uptight and i don't really like to converse, i'll admit. i don't want to justify my upbringing for the way i am, but my parents always told me to be kind even if it's thankless (laughs) see, i just did that. i'm a bit of an old soul, but i hope i'm not being too close-minded either. going to university makes me feel kind of scared.
Q : It's common to kids, you'll get used to it. Did you make any new friends or do you know anybody yet?
A : Hopefully. I know a lot of people, but i don't think i'm too close with most of them. there's the kind professor shim and the night-blooming cereus girls, and... yoongi. i don't really make a lot of friends.

A : there's only a certain few that really make their way to avoid me, i think. the seniors are quite kind when it comes to me, and even the girls at the night-blooming are decent people with a variety of personalities. i don't think i'm quite grudging of anyone.
Q : I heard the dorm is quite a mess and you got into trouble defending the other girls or always the last to fix things.
A : Well, yeah... i don't deny them. but on the other hand, this is university and not highschool, but i get irked if some people insulted the girls. some of them aren't nice and they're rough around the edges, but it doesn't mean that they aren't good! (jooyoung scrunched her eyebrows) one more time i had someone insulting [cordial prez] and they'll pay for it.

A : (jooyoung breathes in heavily, leans back at the chair) yes. yes, i know whawt people think of these girls when they went talking behind their backs. i know, again, this is university and not highschool, but imagine how some people aren't mature enough to even realize that they are just as wrong as the girls' mistake, whatever they are.
Q : You're not a very violent person, are you?
A : being protective doesn't mean you have to be aggressive. being too grudging would also cause you to lose friends. i've had my episodes; i just learn from my past mistakes.

A : life and it will get worse by now. so just it up. also, be kind and honest. i know it sounds like complete bull, but trust me, it's pretty pleasant to see some kind of compassion from someone.

1998 : Born to a South Korean businessman and the daughter of a doctor in Shanghai, China, elijah kang lived in a decent home; albeit she couldn't remember how it felt. her father dealt with medical equipments for hospitals including private hospitals in china; that's where he met his wife.
2000 : as unfortunate, their marriage was short-lived. her mother passed after battling with cancer sometime after she was born. ignoring the batted stares of her mother's family by the grave, they packed up their belongings and left the country. again, elijah was too young to even remember them. as far as how she knew no one from that side, she's relieved that she never does.
2004 : eli started seeing a woman being around with her father; the woman was a very pleasant person. elijah remembers her greatly when she manages to make her father smile with so much love and affection; she was warm and cheerful. it wasn't until months later she learned that her name is son inyoung.
2006 : in a private area of their garden, her father placed a ring at the beautifully-clad inyoung — there weren't much whom attend, but in its simplicity, she enjoyed and remembered the moment readily. years later, inyoung and heungsoo notices elijah's affinity towards science in itself; it wasn't long until they knew that she was intellegent, and wanted to pursue biochemistry.

THE DISCOVERY STORY :
Elijah came to hwanggeum with two missions; pursue biochemistry, and found gave reports of jungkook to his mother.
the first time she heard and saw him was the day party animal went wild and just started throwing up in the middle of the streets. elijah was more than embarassed and just as she started dragging her away, she fell onto jungkook's sight.
long story short, jungkook isn't exactly aware on what elijah was snooping around about; and elijah herself tries to keep everything about this a mere coincidence and pretends that all that happens are just a mix of keeping secrets while also trying to keep caring for him as her brother.
