— Kim Young Mi- Preferrably Jin- Is considered to be very adaptable. She doesn't mind changes in plans and can roll with the flow- The best way to live, in her opinion. She is very optimistic about life and what whill happen in the future. Why not? The glass should always be half full, not half empty. Aren't things happier that way? She certainly things so. That kind of optimism is very charming to a lot of people, and she attracts people to her naturally- It's Youngmi's aura, her presence that gets people to come over and stay. Despite being the maknae, she's naturally maternal and feels warm to people, in a warm and fuzzy way. She is very funny according to others and if often the one who raises the spirit of the group with jokes and humorous actions. Upon all of that, she is always prepared for everything. Youngmi always has a small medical kit on her bag, snacks, water, everything. She prepares herself emotionally for all kinds of situations.

— Jin is very flirty without meaning to be- It's natural for her. She'll think she's being nice but then everyone will complain when the other person leaves that she was flirting- She had no idea. She's unpredictable, and often doing what you wouldn't expect her to do. She's always full of surprises to other people. She's always focused on the details. Sometimes they'll drive her crazy, but because of that Jin gets good results. When you focus on details, you end up with something better than just rushing through it. Youngmi finds herself contemplating a lot of things, from the meaning of life to what to wear at the airport. She really thinks things trhough. Youngmi is also considered to be emotional- The tiniest things can make her cry. From not having the cereal she wanted to someone giving her a little scare, she can get very teary eyed very fast.

— She's not very confident with herself, unfortunately. Jin worries about what she's doing, what she sounds like, what others think of her, everything. It always worries her and hse's not confident about it. However, that being said, Jin doesn't think about how others feel when she might say something. She's disrespectful to even elders and is very careless with her words- They're the only things Jin doesn't think about. She's blunt with her criticisms and feels little remose about them. If she thinks there's something wrong, Jin will say it to you straight-up. She doesn't mind being rude to people she should be nice to, and she doesn't mind saying things in a way that can hurt others. It's natural for her.

background

— Kim Young Mi was born as the last child in a fair-sized family, consisting of her mother, father, two older sisters (One adopted when Youngmi was ten), and her older brother. She was born about a month premature, and had some issues with her heart. Young Mi was in the hospital for the first six months of her life, various medical problems popping up out of no where, which was awful for her family. Because of her premature birth, Young Mi has had trouble gaining weight since, not that she's realized that herself. However, everything worked out with her health in the end and she was sent to a very unhappy home. Even still, her early life was fun, filled with three wonderful older siblings who adored her and trips to the park, beach, zoo, etc. However, when her parents seperated at age five, things went downhill very quikcly. Their family lived on welfare, and they had a very hard time. She noticed that her older brother, Jonghyun, would always refuse the free lunches they were given by the school, but she found that foolish- They were hungry and they should accept whatever help they were offered. That didn't make them weak.

— However, it was things like those free lunches and always borrow supplies from the school that got Youngmi bullied a lot. Not only that, but the "masculine" clothes she would wear some days, from a green striped shirt and cargo shorts to jeans and a (fake) polo. There were days where Youngmi didn't quite feel the same as most days and those days her name didn't sound quite right to her. So, she looked in a baby name book and made her childhood nickname Jin- It was for both boys and girls and she liked that. She did well in school and (Somehow) fell in love with what her brother did- Singing. She wasn't nearly as good as him at it, but soon enough this kid was copying the dances she would see on TV by idols. She knew that's what she wanted in life. She realized that at about twelve years old, but she also realized soemthing else- Youngmi wasn't just a girl. She did some research online, about how some days she felt more like a boy, and realized. She was something called "gender-fluid," somethng a lot of people didn't like or accept. However, she told her family (Minus her absent father) immediately. They loved her all the same, even Jonghyun which was disappointing to say the least.

— Jonghyun trained at SM Entertainment. Though Youngmi would never admit it, it was Jonghyun who inspired her to actually follow the path of an idol. In school she still didn't make many friends and instead stead to studying and her single friend, Son Minah. She didn't want to train immediately because she would still have to get some sort of approval from her father who had reacted very badly when Jonghyun first tried to pursue music. Now Jonghyun was a worl-class idol leading the Hallyu wave. She was horribly jealous, but didn't mind as much when his bandmates visited- She'd developed quite the crush on the maknae Taemin. She only audioned to JYP Entertainment and Acube, but JYP rejected her despite her pretty good dancing, and she was hardly accepted to Acube. There, she honed her dancing skills into something amazing.

Sodam is the eldest of the Kim siblings, and let's be honest- She adores her baby siblings. Who she does not like, however, if her adopted sister Gayoung who was adopted through an "Aopt-A-Teen" program eight years ago. She was initially excited for a new younger siblings, however the fifteen-year-old has always given her bad vibes. However, she loves Youngmi and therefore puts up with the sister she doesn't like. Youngmi is her baby girl and she treats her like so. Whereas with Jonghyun she scolds him all the time (Even if playfully), she just adores Youngmi. She calls her twice a week and always keeps up with all of her activities. She hopes one day that she can edit a show with Youngmi in it- She has with Jonghyun, but he has habits that make it hard to edit. XD

Jonghyun loves his baby sister, but she doesn't exactly share the same sentiments. There's nothing that either can think of that happened to cause this, but she simply does not like him. She loves him, sure, but only because he's her brother. She would much rather not see or talk to him, even though Jonghyun has tried every way he can so get closer to her- Smother her, leave her alone, give her things, try to relate to her, everything. She simply doesn't feel that she can be close with him. Jonghyun wishes it was different.

Son Minah is one of Youngmi/Jin's true and only friends. Not many stick with her after she admits her gender identity, but Minah being a lesbian figured it would be pretty rude to not accept someone else from the LGBTQ+ community. They're very close to each other because they have some sort of common grounf in that way. They're often seen together, always complimenting each other on their looks and holding hands. They're really funny, because they seem like a couple but like are always insulting each other with bantering so some people get very confused. They're just adorable.

Kim JinAh is Gayoung's replacement, and while you'd think that she would hate JinAh, she actually likes her quite a lot. JinAh has something off about her, Youngmi is sure of that, but she thinks she is likeable and gorgeous. Sincerely, she wants JinAh to be close to her and tries her best to befriend her. Youngmi comes to trust her very quickly and even tells her about her gender- We'll see how that goes in the future...

Trainee Life

— Youngmi didn't train very long or hard- She has a natural talent when dancing, and never caused many problems within the company. She (Unknowingly) got some slight special treatment for being Jonghyun's baby sister, and was never yelled at if she was late or did something wrong. She got gentle reminders and sometimes a harsh tone here or there, but she was so naturally likeable that even trainees couldn't get that mad at her.
