Cho Siyeon
personality traits (+) Confident, adventurous, rational, honest (=) Playful, moralistic (-) Spoiled, shallow, procrastinating, venal
personality
— Since she was one of two children- A twin at that- Cho Siyeon grew up with anything and everything she could have ever wanted. If she so much looked at a dress or toy, it was immediately bought for her. Don't want dinner? Sure, we'll make you anything you want. Someone in your class has this really amazing pencil case? Of course you can get a better one. Siyeon always used that to her advantage as a child, and she still does. Her parents still give her everything. That's what she's used to- Getting everything she wants, and that annoys the hell out of people. The way she talks, the way she acts, it's pretty obvious how her parents raised her and her brother. Even though she gets everything she wants, when she wants it, she holds herself to high morals. She never asks for too much and believe everyone in the worlds deserves a happy and comfy life. She believes in being kind to all (No matter what they seem like) and being honest at all times. Honest is certainly one way to describe Siyeon. She never lies, even when it's a little white lie or would benefit her greatly. She's honest about her company, how she's treated, how trainee life was, and how she feels about people. Siyeon holds herself to that moral value quite well. Siyeon does not believe in lying, and even withholding the truth can feel wrong to her, so she really tries to tell everyone how she feels all the time. This honesty is considered good by most, because she isn't blunt or hurtful about it.
— She is very rational when living life. She calculates the cost of things and realistically tells herself what she can and cannot afford that month. Siyeon likes to look at things with intelligence and taking emotions out of it. Sometimes she does not seem like it, but she truthfully calulates whether or not what she wants to do is reasonable. She doesn't push the boundries of rational or serious and ignoring feelings, but she does tend to stay on the rational side of things. She's playful and loves to joke and mess around. Siyeon is the type to tease mercilessly, and people enjoy that about her. She doesn't want to be serious all the time- She likes to play. Be it games, around in bed (Yes okay), or just with people (In an environment where both parties are aware she's playing) in general, it's a fun thing to do. On the topic of playfulness, did you know science says it's the most attractive quality a person could have? That's why Siyeon naturally attracts people. That, and her confidence. Siyeon draws people towards her because she's confident, and in all honesty, that's what everyone wants to be. She's comfortable in her own skin and with herself, and works to be confident with her life. Siyeon unfortunately, has a big weakness. She's venal, meaning she is easily motivated and convinces by brides. Seriously, if you offer her something, she's almost sure to do it. Bribes attract her attention, just like her confidence attracts others' attention. Siyeon likes to get something out of what she does, be it a promise to buy her ice cream for a month if you cover for her, or getting money to do your assigned chores.
— Beyond being bribed, though, Siyeon likes to procrastinate things. She prefers to leave something important to the last minute, and for no particular reason. While many professional procrastinators claim to work better under pressure, she works no better nor worse either way. It's very likely out of pure laziness or lack of motivation. Siyeon simply does things when she feels like or is given something good out of it, and people hate that about her. Others use it quite well to their advantage, though Siyeon knows when to say no if the request is outlandish or against her morals. She sticks to them to thoroughly, it can get her into trouble. That being said, she certainly is an adventorous girl. From trying new foods to going to new places, she likes to try things she never has before. It's thrilling, taking chances and finding out the results after you've done it for the first time. Siyeon is the most likely in Re-Play to take risks. She even loves extreme sports, like parasailing, bungee jumping, zip wiring, gigantic swings, write rapids rafting, and something that's called the "ejection seat." (See here.) The last one is also known as reverse bungee jumping. While many people are terrified of such things, Siyeon enjoys them more than anything. People love and are amazed at the things she will try. Something much less loved, though, is how painfully shallow she is. While Siyeon does believe you should treat everyone with kindness, she is also the kind who will judge people by their looks, clothes, and first impression more than anything else. "Accordingly," she will unknowingly change her attitude towards them. While Siyeon tries to work against this natural judgement, she is simply the kind that judges a book by it's cover. It- Quite unfortunately- Takes a lot to change her mind about someone. People call her a "snob" for this attitude.
background
— In 1991, Cho Siyeon was born with twin Cho Seungyeon in the early hours of the morning. The only children their parents would have, Siyeon and Seungyeon were pretty much spoiled and given anything and everything they wanted. "The precious twins." That's what Siyeon and her brother always were, the precious twins, and she fed on that for the longest time. Seungyeon was more independrnt and liked to go out and do things on his own, take care of himself and work to have fun things. Siyeon always thought that was strange, but loved her (unfortunately) older twin the same. They did grow up very closely despite their differences and relied on each other for the emotional things- Despite their parents trying, they simply weren't that good at parenting and their children never felt close to them- They still never will. Siyeon never felt sad about that, though, because there was two days a year when their family would come together- Christmas Eve and Christmas. They weren't overly religious, but those were two special days for them where the whole family would cuddle on the couch with hot chocolate (Or coffee), watch a bunch of Christmas movies and make meals together. There were always tons of presents that would take hours to open, and those are Siyeon's fondest childhood memories, those two days every year.
— In the first grade, Siyeon met her best friend for life- Park Jungnam, a lively boy with a lot of love to offer. He lived with his divorced father apparently only a few houses down, and he, Siyeon, and Seungyeon quickly became the very best of friends, another Three Musketeers kind of group. The three were quick to bond, helping each other with homework, teasing each other about their crushes but at the same time helping their crushes notice them, and when one forgot their lunch, the other two would share. They had a pretty great system going on and vowed to stay friends for life. As school life went on, Siyeon did pretty well in school, never exceptional but definitely better than many, always within the top fifteen scores in her class. She enjoyed school a lot, but there was something else she found herself enjoying more- In the fourth grade, Jungnam introduced her to the growing world of KPOP, and Siyeon was immediately hooked. While Seungyeon just enjoyed the music for what it was, Siyeon wanted everything to do with it. Now instead of asking her parents to buy her the newest and best dolls, she was asking them to buy the latest Baby V.O.X or H.O.T. albums. She studied what made groups good and what made them bad, and comapred herself to members, to see if she was good enough to be one of these so-called "idols." Cho Siyeon grew with KPOP.
— As she aged, so did the genre and she loved it. She immediately began to perform at every talent show her school had, and even did stage musicals for her school and the community at her young age. She loved to perform, she was born for it. At age twelve, she convinced her parents quite easily to sign her up for singing lessons, and she was found to have an amazing voice. Seungyeon really encouraged her passion, as did Jungnam, and their parents? Well, so long as she was happy, they supposed. She loved her vocal lessons and finally in 2006, with the disbandment of her favorite group Baby V.O.X., she decided to audition for JYP Entertainment's open audition. It was horribly nerve-wracking, and she wasn't sure she could go through with it, but she knew she had to, This was what she wanted, and she fought her fears. In order to support her, both Seungyeon and Jungnam decided to audition as well. Though the other two were painfully untalented, they still performed to encourage Siyeon. As expected, those two didn't make it, but Siyeon did and was offered to train with JYP. She immediately jumped on the chance. Shortly after she arrived, Wonder Girls was formed by JYP. Siyeon knew she was a new trainee, but hoped because of how much JYP praised her, she would make it in. She didn't, and the group debuted the next year. She accepted that it was likely because of how short of time she's been training under the company, but when Hyuna withdrew was the group and Sohee injured, she was certain it was her time to shine. But no, a trainee from a different company took the space- Yubin, who had three days until she would debut. Siyeon could hardly believe it- Really? A trainee from another company? Sure, Siyeon wasn't a rapper, but it was cruel to not debut one of your trainess.
— In 2010, Siyeon was again disappointed when a new girl group, Miss A, was being created. Wang Feifei, Lee Minyoung, Bae Suji, and Meng Jia would all be in the lineup, but not Siyeon, who had more vocal prowess than all of them, if the monthly trainee reports she'd repeatedly snuck a look at had anything to say. Why weren't they debuting her? She had been a trainee for four years by their debut, and she was worried. Was she not pretty enough? Was she that bad at dancing? Did she have no stage presence? Thankfully, her brother and best friend were there to dispel such thoughts. Clearly JYP wasn't thinking clearly if they weren't debuting her. In 2011 Siyeon graduated high school as the seventh in her class- Seungyeon was the tenth- And both moved on to Konkuk University, where Siyeon majors in Liberal Arts whereas Seungyeon majors in Bioscience and Biotechnology. Jungnam chose not to go to college, instead going to culinary school and opening his own restaurant at age twenty-one. In 2012, rumors of a vocal-based duo being formed in JYP went around. Siyeon was in fact considered to debut as one half of the duo, but at age twenty-one they decided she was too old and instead debuted two fifteen-year-olds. That was the final blow to Siyeon. When Sunday Entertainment saw JYP Entertainment's release of Love Letter (Released in a series of JYP trainee hype videos, full ver.), they immediately tried to scout her. Siyeon accepted immediately and negotiated her way out of her JYP contract.
— In 2013, Re-Play debuted with Speed Up, and Siyeon was never happier with her life. She loved to perform on stage and sing with her members. Sure, they sometimes had their arguments but mostly they got along. She truly enjoyed the music they released and became very comfortable with her body and her uality- In terms of image, anyway. Being an idol wasn't all it cracked up to be, though, with intense diets, long hours, little sleep, and no fame to show for it. However, with the release of Cha Cha later in 2013 she felt more confident that they could make it big. That is, until the accident. It was horrible, watching TheActress fall. Her heart pounded and as she rushed to catch her, Siyeon slipped herself, crashing into TheActress and ultimately making it worse than it likely would have been. While Siyeon escaped with minor scrapes and bruises, her close friend TheActress, would suffer a much wrose fate- She would lose her ability to dance. Siyeon felt immediately guilty, like this was her fault, for crashing into her and causes that horrible scream, for ruining her friend's career as a dancer and everyone else's chance to realize their dreams. Siyeon knew in that moment, Re-Play would disband. As they stopped producing music, Siyeon began to look at other careers having to do with singing. It was all too expected that the company would be bought out and that her contract was dissolved. After the official disbandment, Siyeon knew she had to find a new life, but stayed to try for a solo career, which fell through immediately. Sunday would loan her to Cube to coach their trainees vocally, and she even worked with FNC and YG, however soon enough, they decided she'd had her run. Siyeon was fired. Seungyeon and Jungnam tried to comfort her, but it felt fake while they lived their dream lives. Seungyeon even got married later that year, newly graduated and working in a lab to study all types of bioscience. Jungnam's restaurant was doing great.
— Siyeon's reaudtioned to JYP but was rejected. She tried DSP Media, was rejected, and the same story could be said about NH Media, SM Entertainment, and Starship. Finally, she gave herself one more chance- Woollim Entertainment. Instead, they gave her the oppotunity to be a vocal coach with them, having hear about her work with Cube trainees. Siyeon reluctantly agreed. With the most developed lower register KPOP had seen, a genereally relaxed falsetto, and fantastic control and consistant resonace, she was a great choice. She coaches not only the trainees, but Lovelyz and Infinite- Kei's even more amazing vocals from 2015 on? That's all Siyeon's work. She's somewhat recognized in her field, but not enough to really be invited to any award ceremonies or anything. Instead, in her free time, Siyeon stays in her dark apartment, with her dog and wonders how things got that way. At twenty-five years old, she should be having the time of her life, but alas, that is not her reality. Siyeon doesn't want to be on stage anymore, it feels too sad to go back. It's just not the same, even though her love for singing and dancing hasn't left her. Cho Siyeon still holds a hope that her life will go in a better direction, and recently has tried to set it there. However, when the news of Yeonwoo, precious Yeonwoo's passing made it's way to her, she really wondered if she should pursue any career in the music field any longer.

relationships
— Twin brother • Cho Seungyeon / 25 / Bioscientist / Driven, independent, emotional, cocky / 5-5 (FC: Jaejin of FT Island)
Seungyeon and Siyeon grew up close, and they will die close. Seriously, they purchased grave plots next to each other.; Seungyeon is always there for Siyeon, because ee knows there are days where his sister will need him, and he knows there will be days he will need his sister. Seungyeon was born a solid two minutes before Siyeon, which she calssically complains about all the time. They're both left handed, which makes eating next to each other really easy (Have you as a right-handed person sat next to a left-handed person, or vice versa, to eat? It's horrible). They're much closer to each other than their parents. Their parents are currently living in Europe for business, and will stay there for a while.
— Sister-in-law • Cho Eunah / 24 / Stay-at-home mother / Maternal, warm, emotional, sensitive / 4-5 (FC: E-young of After School)
Eunah is basically the definition of a "perfect" mother. She adores children and cares for them really well, and showers them with love on affection- As Eunah is married to Seungyeon, they're been together for about five years and married for two. Their daughter, Hyeyoung, is about five months old, but Siyeon has only met her three times- Once in the hospital when she was born, once when she was a month old, and once just a few days before Yeonwoo's funeral. Eunah knew how close Yeonwoo and Siyeon were, so she was there to comfort her during the funeral- Hyeyoung stayed with her parents while Seungyeon was at work. They often cook together.
— Best friend • Park Jungnam / 25 / Restaurant owner / Easy-going, supportive, playful, selfish / 5-5 (FC: Dongwoon of Beast)
Jungnam is Siyeon's very best friend in the whole world. After, oh, nineteen years of friendship, you'd think they're get sick of each other by now, right? However it's the total opposite, and their friendship is stronger than ever. Jungnam is pretty busy, but he makes time to call Siyeon three times a week, maybe more if they don't get to see each other in person. He came to many Re-Play's performances, promising he's see her perform at least once a week when Re-Play promoted. Jungnam often visited Siyeon with food and comfort after Re-play's disbandment, and some days even closed up shop if she felt that upset about it. He doesn't mind losing money for his best friend's happiness.
— Former Manager • Park Yeonwoo / 26 / JYP Manager / Diligent, kind, awkward, introverted / 3-5
Yeonwoo and Siyeon were fairly close when Re-Play was together, but after disbandment they grew apart easily. Siyeon, however, was kinder than the others in the respect of contacting Yeonwoo after. Once a month she would call him, check in on him and seeinghow he and his new job were going. The conversations were always pretty awkward and sad, but at least Siyeon tried, right? When Yeonwoo died, reality suddenly hit that Siyeon couldn't take care of everyone she loved. She remembered all the good times she, Re-Play, and Yeonwoo had together, adn simply couldn't stop crying.
— Former coordinator • Lee Myungjun / 31 / None / Composed, organized, desperate, serious / 3-5
Siyeon always admired Myungjun's dedication to his job and how composed he could be at the worst of times. He never failed to impress her and she really appreciated everything he did for her and her members, even if smometimes he would put aside the fact that they were people if it meant giving them a better chance of success. She worried a lot about him when he disappeared into thin air after the merging of the company- Where did he go? Is he okay? Is he working again? It was a shock to find out he was blacklisted from the entertainment inductry, something she overheard at the funeral. On Myungjun's part, he never liked Siyeon more or less than any of the girls.
— TheActress • name / age / occupation / personality traits / ?-5
Siyeon always admired her talent and her positive sides. She feels guilt and responsibility for the accident and shut herself away from TheActress after Re-Play disbanded. They met for the first time in years at the funeral. It was really hard for Siyeon to be near her, and that much was obvious to all the members.
— TheComposer • name / age / occupation / personality traits / ?-5
TheComposer was pretty intense about her court battles, and Siyeon wasn't sure just quite how she felt about that. She appreciated that TheComposer cared enough to go to court, but knew she could never win. It was always that passion that attracted Siyeon to TheComposer. Shortly after the court battle, they lost contact/
— TheScholar • name / age / occupation / personality traits / ?-5
Siyeon always had the same love for school, and was impressed that her bandmate continued education through their time as idols. However, TheScholar and Siyeon had a falling out shortly after the former stopped her underground work. TheScholar simply stopped replying, no matter how hard Siyeon tried to stay in conctact after their argument about TheScholar giving up music.
Plotline The Performer (Backup: The Scholar)
Prior Experience
— Cho Siyeon did not do much before Sunday Entertainment. She was given the odd CF here or there, and released a collab with The Channels titled Love Letter, but it was one of many releases by JYP trainees to hype for a new round of official auditions.
Why do they want to be an idol?
— "I love music. I love singing, dancing, and performing, just being on stage gives me such a rush. I loved original KPOP artists like Baby V.O.X., H.O.T., Seo Taiji and the Boys, everyone. They all inspired me to follow my love for singing and try to be an idol. Performing and music are my truest passions in life."
If they could change anything, what would they choose?
— "I would change my attitude towards the other members. I think there were times I could have been a better teammate and not been as, well, shallow. I base things off of appearance, by the cover, and I could have been better to Re-Play. I should have been better. Now, of course, I'm much better but back then...They probably didn't like me nearly as much as I liked them."
What price are they willing to pay for this chance?
— "What does it take?"
last comment I wanted to add a whole new love interest section for Sunkyu but I'm too bad with codes. :'') Ah well~ Sorry for being so late! For the password, I was listening to it while writing the sad part of her background and I realized how well it fit her, so yeah. :) Uji's cover is amazing. I know the L/I section kinda glosses over everything, but since it's not the main focus I not only wanted to give you a lot of freedom but not make it horribly integral to the story (It could be gotten rid of to focus on other struggles in Siyeon's character, but spices everything up and makes for a good side or main plot). I hope you enjoyed! Sorry for something so horribly long, I was so inspired the words just never stopped. Almost 6,000 words in fact...
scene requets
— Not so much a scene as an event, but I was hoping maybe Cho Siyeon could go solo. ;_; Uji is so talented as a main vocal and well Siyeon is a main vocal and Uji is her FC so I figure she'd probably her talent twin too, I dunno, it's just a thought.
— Siyeon feeling regret about the accident, because she truly does feel like it's her fault that TheActress got hurt as badly as she did- And honestly, it probably was.;;
