Jezebelle's father is a descendant of a family 'jopok' from the 50s and 60s. Jopok means South Korean mafia that has perfected the art of ruthless extortion and loan sharking. Her father still has connections to the mafia and is one of the financial advisors for international relations. Her mother was a chameleon for the same mafia, meaning that she would decieve people to get information out of them in anyway possible to bring back the the mob. Once Jezebelle was born, her mother momentarily stopped her job but eventually went back under strict orders.
They moved to the USA when the mob in S.Korea sent out a branch of operatives to Chicago, her father being one of them. Her mother was granted to go as well if they were married, so they did it at their local government place. Black Oak is in the county of Indiana that mirrors the county with Chicago. Her father wanted a safe enough distance so nothing could happen to him. Once Jez turned 16 the mafia headquarters in South Korea wanted her to be married off to a well-elder man in the mob and she was going to be forced to pick up the role her mom previously had in that country. Jez refused, fought with her parents, and she immediately ran away.
She went to her boyfriend's house and that is when Jay gave her the nickname 'ReBelle' because her name is Jezebelle and she rebelled against the South Korean mafia. Jezebelle and Jaebum got together when she was only fourteen and they kept their relationship secret until she ran away and moved in with him. He was 18 at that time and was living on his own as a foot soldier for a local gang in Black Oak. Jez was so young that she relied (and still does) heavily on Jaebum. Two years later, when Jez turned 18, the two of them together executed the gangleader that Jaebum became the right-hand man to. He took over as king and she became the ever-reigning queen.
Since Jezebelle left her family so young, she has a deep want to have her own family some day so she can raise her kids how they should be 'properly' raised. Jaebum keeps telling her they will have kids one day but she's not sure if she believes him. She knows that he loves her, in his own twisted way, and that's the heartstring she holds onto the most. Sometimes he can be seen treating her as a dog, like if she does something bad she is punished, if she does something good she is rewarded.
Jezebelle goes with Jaebum on quite a lot of missions if she doesn't have some of her own to do. They do not fear PDA and are known to make scandalous, ual innuendos to each other while 'working'. Jaebum is also not afraid to show Jez how she should be 'disciplined' in front of his men.
