First and Last Lines - A Comparison

So since I've already done the hard work of doing these separately, I wanted to actively compare the two.  Now I have a side by side view of both my beginnings and my endings!

I Will Always Protect You - Eunhyuk had been dancing for over an hour already when he was interrupted by three young men who regarded him with annoyance at seeing him in the practice room they obviously wished to use instead.

I Will Always Protect You - Even if he never loved him back, he would always protect the gentle young man before him.

If I Don't Say It Now... - Two figures huddled over the desk as they peered down at the scribbled on scrap of paper, illuminated by the lamp angled to shine directly on their hastily scrawled words, though the room was plenty lit enough.

If I Don't Say It Now... - “Show me how it’s done.”

I'll Be Home Soon - Leeteuk looked over at the clock on his desk.

I'll Be Home Soon - As their tongues danced and explored each other’s mouths, while their hands roamed their bodies anew, Eunhyuk showed his lover just how good dessert could be.

Through the Ages (Two-Shot) - “Don’t leave!” he yelled, reaching desperately for Yunho who was poised to exit out the door.

Through the Ages (Two-Shot) - After a time, he joined him in sleeping, his nose resting in Jaejoong’s sweet smelling hair as he drifted to sleep in turn.

Descendants of Angels - “Grandpa Teuk,” the little boy of about six years of age, sitting on his lap looked up and tugged on his shirt to get his attention.

Descendants of Angels - It was worth it after all.

No One Just Walks Away - “No one just walks away,” Leeteuk muttered standing in the doorway in the fading light of day, holding his ribs tightly with his less injured arm while he glared at the blonde young man across from him.

No One Just Walks Away - Comforted by that realization, he closed his eyes and let himself doze off, reassured by Eunhyuk’s steady, caring presence.

I'm Just Tired - “What’s wrong, baby?” the chestnut haired beauty asked his partner, sitting down on the couch next to the slender blonde, one leg folded on the cushions and brushing against Eunhyuk’s thigh.

I'm Just Tired - Both wore satisfied, sweet smiles when unconsciousness claimed them.

Lost and Found - With a gusty sigh, Luna paused to lean against the trunk of the nearest tree and scratched her head in puzzlement, glancing around at the forest which looked the same in every direction.

Lost and Found - With that, he led her up the stairs while she practically bounced beside him, unable to stop smiling.

Hot For Teacher - Kyuhyun stifled a yawn as he leaned back in his seat and eyed the textbook in front of him from behind his black rimmed glasses.

Hot For Teacher - “Maybe I will,” he murmured, sliding over and placing his lips against Kyuhyun’s, rather effectively ending the conversation.

The Naughty Professor - Another day, another lecture and another session of instructing at the front of the class while that boy continued to chew on his pen…like he always did.

The Naughty Professor - “Next time I top.”

The Frustrated Professor - With the end of exams over, the pair had begun officially/unofficially dating and while Jungsu was bogged down with rushing to finish grading the rest of his classes, Kyuhyun was happily finished with his.

The Frustrated Professor - Without further complaint, he whimpered for more as Kyuhyun rolled him on top for another welcome round.

Always There - “You know.  When I said I’d always be there for you, I didn’t exactly mean to keep loaning you money when have such a knack for losing it,” Jinki shook his head with a long suffering sigh as he handed an envelope of bills to his long-time friend Jonghyun.

Always There - In fact, they were always there, if he but looked for them inside.

Murphy's Law - Amber was halfway through her shift at work and things still had not improved from her morning as she dropped her second tray in the past hour.

Murphy's Law - Well, they had all night after all.

The Dangers of Losing -   “Seriously?” Byunghun murmured in annoyance as he peered into the nearly empty fridge, lamenting the low grumbling in his stomach.

The Dangers of Losing -   “I’m sure we can fix that too.  Just not tonight is all.”

Through the Ages - Bored, he looked over his shoulder at the analog clock on the wall, roman numerals indicating the time to be just half past nine…

Through the Ages - He was just as glad that he truly had found his.

Can I Help You, Sir? - “Will there be anything else, sir?” Jungsu politely asked with the serving tray extended in front of him while he waited for his employer to take the steaming mug of tea.

Can I Help You, Sir? - “That you did, Su.  That you did,” Siwon murmured in quiet agreement, impossibly happy.

'A' For Effort: Happy Ending Included - Coming off the second twenty four hour shift in three days was always the hardest part of the week for Yongguk and it was even worse that it happened to be on the day for two of Himchan’s finals at the end of the semester.

'A' For Effort: Happy Ending Included - That would do quite nicely indeed.

Be Careful What You Wish For - Himchan heard the door open later in the evening and he picked his head up from reading the book he’d been going over, black framed glasses perched on his nose to help him focus as he studied.

Be Careful What You Wish For - Pleasantly suffused with the lingering after-effects of their lovemaking, Himchan was able to drift to sleep with the steady soothing rhythm of Yongguk’s heartbeat under his ear and his strong arms wrapped around him possessively.

Loss of Order - “Hurry.  Hurry,” Leeteuk hissed, ushering the six persons ahead of him forward.

Loss of Order - In the end, in finding this place, they had found themselves and in so doing, had finally restored the loss of order within.

From the Shadows - The shadows...

From the Shadows - “Forever and ever,” was the quiet, honest promise.

A Woman Scorned - The shop was busy as always, making Chaerin smile as she walked the floor with the rest of her employees, greeting customers and making sure things were running smoothly.

They Walk Among Us - “That one’s mine, Yesung!  Give it back,” Luna cried jumping up to reach for the tiny unicorn figurine held aloft by the taller dark haired male.

Sensual Choreography - The sound of sneakers squeaking on the smooth wooden floor rose above the pounding beat of the music that vibrated through their dancing bodies, directing their next steps as they watched each other and themselves in the room filled with mirrors.

Sensual Choreography -“Always,” he assured the younger male, wrapping his arms firmly around the other dancer’s neck before he pulled him close and molded their bodies together, promising more than a kiss in the stairwell himself.

Carnal Desire - It was hard to say who lamented the lack of a vehicle more on their mad run back to the dorms from the practice studio.

Carnal Desire -   “That’s what I thought,” Jongdae nodded to himself as he flipped to the next page.

Protected Little Panda - Training, training and more training.

Protected Little Panda - Tao didn’t respond verbally but the fingers tightening around Luhan’s was answer enough that he’d heard.

A Serendipitous Cancellation - Stifling a yawn, Chanyeol leaned back in the slightly uncomfortable seat he was currently reclining in, long legs extended out before him with his knees partially open.

A Serendipitous Cancellation - With a tender smile, he retrieved his jacket again and wrapped it around Kiseop before he held him close once more, relishing the feel of the smaller male basking in the additional warmth provided.

Demon in the Woods - “Alright, Jongin.  Time fer bed, honey,” his mother reminded him, combing her fingers through his soft, chocolate locks and gesturing towards his narrow bed with her other hand.

Demon in the Woods - Apparently, just having the demon in his arms was balm enough to keep the worries and concerns at bay, ensconcing them both in the protective embrace of mutual adoration and love.

Impromptu Rescue -  Chewing his bottom lip thoughtfully, Insoo glanced under the edge of his straight black bangs into the partially full basket hanging from his wrist before his eyes traveled to the two items in his hands.

Impromptu Rescue -  Very worth it.

Unveiling the Assassin - It was late when Jaejoong pulled up to his parent’s house, easing into the driveway and stepping out tiredly.

Unveiling the Assassin - With a shake of his head, he settled in to focus on the menu once more, chiding himself for not coming in here sooner.

Jaded Eyes - Donghae sighed softly, his head resting in Seunghyun’s lap as they took up the length of the couch.

Jaded Eyes - For now, it was enough.

Entrapped -  It didn’t take her long to get lost or to lose track of the passage of time entirely.

Entrapped -  He was quiet for a moment, listening to Namjoon ahead of them, but then his fingers tightened slightly on her shoulder and she heard, “Love you too sis.”

Would-Be Hero - Stifling another nervous breath, Henry gave his attire and hair another once over, nibbling his bottom lip uncertainly.

Would-Be Hero - Damn.

Warped Affection - The tea kettle in the kitchen called to Luna as she was lounging on her sofa in her apartment, an equestrian magazine in her lap while she was curled up under her knit blanket.

Warped Affection - And really, he was rather looking forward to that part.

Daehyun: Valkyr of the Gods - Yawning tiredly, the young boy with messy silver-blonde hair sat up in bed in the predawn light and rubbed at crusted brown eyes with a grimace.

Daehyun: Valkyr of the Gods - Live for us… Daehyunnie…

More Than Meets the Eye -  Every hurried step he took with tired legs was harder than the last.

More Than Meets the Eye -  It was gonna be amazing!

Elaborate Deception - The signs were all there.

Elaborate Deception - Maybe indeed.

Can I Help You, Dear? - “Siwon?” the brunette haired beauty murmured quietly, lying still.

Dust in the Wind -  This was stupid.

Dust in the Wind -  Nothing more than dust in the wind.

Phoenix in Stone - Like she always did, and had done for as long as she could remember, she studied her face in the polished silver mirror on the other side of the room.

Phoenix in Stone - Plain and simple.

Ice Skating and... Fighting? -  “I had a good time tonight,” Sungmin smiled, comfortably bundled in his winter coat with his gloved hands holding lightly to Leeteuk’s arm as they walked along the brightly lit sidewalk at night.

Ice Skating and... Fighting? -   Leeteuk smiled tenderly at the blonde in his embrace and met his lips halfway, sharing a warm and understanding kiss after a very long and eventful day.

By Magic and Blood -  It was just beginning to grow dark when the lone rider on his equally tired horse paused at the foot of the mountain that rose dauntingly before them.

Atonement - Her thoughts were troubled as she walked along the well-worn dirt path, following the roads as they took her from one town to the next.

Atonement - Some day.

Five More Minutes - He could feel Eli watching him.

Five More Minutes - His smile was anything but when he heard Eli nearly choke on the phone when he heard the comment as he tried to place their order.

Sub-Prime Extinction - The problem with fighting a battle you couldn’t win was that, like a rabid dog too far gone, you stopped caring about what might happen to everyone else in the aftermath.

Sub-Prime Extinction - It wasn’t the perfect scenario for Byunghyun, but… it was enough.

Facade - The television screen in the restaurant was on but silent, the volume muted though there were captions scrolling across the bottom so the patrons could read along if they wanted to.

Facade - When she smiled, they had no idea of the secret it was hiding…

And I You - In the quiet of the resting dance studio, dust motes floated lazily, reveling in the shimmering rays of sunshine that streamed through the relatively clean windows.

And I You - Sungmin watched her go, standing still until the lights went out and the door shut behind her, leaving nothing more than an empty dancing studio in her wake.

Acquired Smile - Raised voices followed Myungsoo as he hurried out the front door, shutting the too flimsy barrier behind him with his shoulders hunched and head bowed.

Acquired Smile - “Me too,” Myungsoo sighed, the smile he was willing to acquire still playing on his lips as he followed Sungjong inside.

Partis Nex Vita: Six Point Magic - Weary and hurt, the six men clung to each other and clustered together as they made their way into the small, mostly dark hovel with two moderate beds greeting them in the hopefully safe haven.

Partis Nex Vita: Six Point Magic - Minzy accepted the invitation and they wandered over together, joining with the larger group of Namjoon’s friends while Dragon’s Fortunes continued to glow brightly, almost as if someone was looking after them.

Descendants and Tribulations - With a perturbed frown on his face, Namjoon inspected the street before him, dark eyes sliding from left to right as he took in the people moving about, patrons to the small shops lining the pavement.

Descendants and Tribulations - A chorus of cries rose around them, some of which might have been good natured ‘Ews’ while others were cute ‘Aws’ and he was pretty sure Jin gave some sort of bemused groan, but no one complained, least of all Suga who simply kissed him back and smiled.

Two Realms, One Heart - Waning sunlight warmed his face where the giant burning orb rested on the edge of the horizon, the top framed by the overarching foliage of the massive tree he was resting under.

Two Realms, One Heart - Daniel responded in kind, pulling him closer while he hummed in satisfaction.

The Scribe and the Familiar (in Training) - Messy bed hair greeted him in the mirror when Junhyung stepped into the bathroom to wash his face.

The Scribe and the Familiar (in Training) - “No I’m not,” Kikwang teased in return, winking as he took a step forward, the world twisting around them as they went wherever the wind would take them.

Of Parties and Mischief - “Oh come on already,” Youngjae urged, pulling the taller male from the car with the determination of a bull; his strength was useless against the reluctant young man but persistence paid off occasionally.

Of Parties and Mischief - Junhong wasn’t sure but he was more than willing to find out.

Something Different - Their voices blended together in an odd harmony as the pair sang along to the song blaring on the radio, bouncing in their seats as Hakyeon continued to drive them further into the veritable middle of nowhere while Jiho sat in the passenger seat, happy as could be.

Something Different - “That you are,” Jiho hummed in approval, following to help his boyfriend in the washing process.

Late Night Happenings - Thunder rumbled gently in the evening sky, warning of rain to come while flashes of lightning danced in the clouds.

Late Night Happenings - “Good night guys,” Kevin smiled, warm, happy, and sated.

Stalked by Shadows - Branches and leaves rustled as he stalked through the growth, brilliant blue hide mixing with vibrant greens well enough to keep him marginally hidden.

Stalked by Shadows - Home sounded like a wonderful idea indeed.

Dragonriders of the Matoki - His dragon was large with black, scaled skin the color of obsidian, and eerie red eyes that viewed the landscape before them.

Dragonriders of the Matoki - As they flew away, neither noticed a tiny whirlwind of glittering blue and brown crystalline dust swirling away from the spot Jongup had lain only a few moments ago, disappearing as if it had never been.

Fight for You - The shackles around his wrists hurt, pinching at already bruised skin as he was herded through the murmuring crowd.

Fight for You - He’d never understand them.

His Eidolon - It was simply because Minsoo was blind.

His Eidolon - And the cat that joined them shortly and curled up on top of Byunghyun’s hip, whose purring presence might have been creepy if they weren’t just going to sleep in each other’s close company that night, was answer enough as well.

Symbiosis - The main gate loomed in front of Taekwoon and he held tighter to the young priest’s hand as they continued to approach the yawning opening.

After the Accident: A Spectre's Interference - The atmosphere was quiet in the kitchen except for the sound of dinner simmering on the stove and the ever present roar of Hakyeon’s thoughts.

After the Accident: A Spectre's Interference - “Good night, Hakyeon,” he heard in response before he took one more breath and closed his eyes, giving himself up to sleep and the adventures that awaited them on the morrow.

A Difference of Opinion - He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel in time to the music and sang along to the lyrics under his breath, keeping his gaze trained on the road.

A Difference of Opinion - Ungrateful brats.

Rainy Day Realizations - Rain poured down and splattered on already drenched clothes, soaking through to the too white skin beneath.

Rainy Day Realizations - “Because I like the rain,” he explained, glancing back down to give Insoo a warm, grateful smile before they reached the dark blue car and climbed in.

Love Lost, Love Found (Chaptered) - With a tired sigh and a quick swipe against her forehead, Hyoyeon stood up and stretched her arms above her head.

Love Lost, Love Found (Oneshot) - Sitting across the table from him with her fingers threaded together under her chin, the only thing Hyoyeon could think was that he was perfect.

Love Lost, Love Found (Oneshot) - “Mommy’s here,” she beamed again, grabbing his little hand carefully and kissing the fingers, knowing there was nothing in the world she could love as much as the bundle in her arms.

Gargoyles and Spirits - He couldn’t believe he’d agreed to such a stupid dare.

Gargoyles and Spirits - It was least he could deal with after what JR had to go through last night.

Akin - Darkness aded his senses.

Akin - He didn’t know what was going to happen then, but he’d figure out the rest when they got there.

Believe - The army marched inexorably forward, guarding a strange caravan in the middle of the milling mass of soldiers and scripted forces.

Believe - Her lips were soft and sweet when Jiyong kissed her back.

The Strongest Among Us - Watching them move across the training hall was like magic in its own right.

The Strongest Among Us - Not if the healer had anything to say about it.

Babysitting Adventures -  Another last minute pass around the house let Junho know that everything was generally where it was supposed to be.

Babysitting Adventures -  “Night baby,” Junho mumbled sleepily, finally closing his eyes and drifting off into blessed rest himself.

Mimicry Trickery - One murder after another and each more brutal than the one before it.

Mimicry Trickery - It was going to be another long night.

Wind Tamers - The early morning air was cold on his face and unclothed chest as the horse under him galloped hard over the ground, carrying Taeyang as fast as it could.

Sigil Sworn - Drawn by the raised voices of the crowd around the arena, Wooyoung couldn’t help but be at least a little curious when he rode into the small city of Thraken.

It Begins With Blood - He didn’t like flying.

It Begins With Blood - Together.

Neverealm - From the ends of the earth to the boundaries of the other realms, they’d searched for her and yet, even now, where the planes of existence simply ended, she was still lost to them.

Neverealm - “Thanks Minji,” he murmured after she was gone with a final look at the screen which he left on before he stepped out of his room.

Vampire Politics - Mist rose from the ground, curling in wispy strands that swirled underfoot and obscured the surface beneath.

Vampire Politics - “Night Kookie,” Taehyung sighed, pressing his lips against the top of his lover’s head, already halfway asleep.

Secret Christmas Surprise - Very carefully, Daehyun tip toed out of the bedroom he and Jongup shared, making sure not to make any noise as he went.

Secret Christmas Surprise - It was a very merry Christmas indeed.

Don't Let Go - Mud squelched under foot while Amber plodded through the marshy ground, eyes peeled for a particular plant she was searching for.

Don't Let Go - “Good,” Amber responded while the doors closed quietly behind them.

Blackest Friday - Changhyun was jittery as he rushed through the overly large house he lived in with his grandparents.

Blackest Friday - If they could do that – a task that had seemed almost impossible – they could do just about damn near anything.

A Duelist's Duty - The elders were calling for another session.

A Duelist's Duty - Despite the harshness of the words, they were all laughing or smiling as they continued on their way.

Onboard the Shinee Ship - Hunkered down under the quiet engine with a slender screwdriver clenched carefully between his teeth while his skilled hands fiddled with loosening the bolts around the containment panel so he could look inside, Kibum hummed to himself contentedly.

Onboard the Shinee Ship - “Aye, Captain!” they agreed in tandem, promptly finding something else to occupy their time.

Idiots All - It was cold, some combination of wet and dry in the wind.

Idiots All - Haruma just shook his head and laughed, limping along between them.

The Price of Innocence - Outside the bars of his cage, Byunghyun knew life existed.

When He Loses Control - The reflective surface of the water showed him a pale face with blood spatters dotting his cheeks under the brunette bangs nearly covering his dark brown eyes.

When He Loses Control - “Always.”

Fleeing From Fate - Divinations weren’t always easy.

The Palace of Dreams - At the pole of the Southern Hemisphere, in the coldest part of the realm of Tiernan, the god Hyukjae and goddess Hyoyeon looked over their frigid domain from the frozen wastes of their aging temple.

Wow awesome. Love the comparison. It's unique.
