TOUGH: She is known for being strong and determined, hence, gaining the recognition of being a tough lady, as she knows how to tolerate difficulty and suffering on her own. She's the type of person to want to achieve something by means of being tough as she remains determined and doesn't give up; whatever the situation incurs, even when there are difficulties or problems. 

HONEST (aka SHE is WHO SHE is): She doesn’t feel the need to conform to the rules of society. She’s a misfit of the good kind. Her friends may pretend like they don’t appreciate her life choices, but somewhere deep within, everyone secretly wants to be her or wants to be with a girl like her. She doesn’t sugarcoat it. It’s true, sugarcoating a problem helps ease the pain now and then, but almost every time, a person would prefer a bullet in the head instead of five in the chest. She says what’s on her mind, and unless they're feeling guilty and miserable  already or if it’s a sensitive issue, her friends would appreciate that trait of hers.

INDEPENDENT: Hyojae is a confident, self-motivated lady who takes responsibility for her actions and never blames the rest of the world for her mistakes or her downfalls. Also, she's the type of lady who pays her own bills (you could ask her Jaehyo oppa! Kkkk), buys her own things, and doesn't allow a man to affect her stability and self-confidence. She supports herself entirely on her own and is proud to be able to do so.

BRAVE: She's also known for not backing down from any challenges, especially not without a fight. One, don't get started with her brother, friends, or anyone close to her heart. Her friends and brother most importantly are her babies no matter how old they are (or older than her, in some cases), don't you dare lay any finger on them, or you'll have to face her, their mother hen. She doesn't hurt somebody physically, as said before. But her words could cut like a knife on somebody's whole being. If you want to be safe, just.don't.hurt.her.babies. (OH AND TALK WHEN SHE'S AROUND. NOT BEHIND HER BACK. BECAUSE SHE HATES IT WHEN SOMEONE DOESN'T HAVE THE BALLS TO TALK ON HER FACE.)

NARCISSISTIC: Just like Jaehyo, she is very self reliant and self-centered, while also is commonly self-obsessed and has a very large ego. But she tries to lessen this, she's working on it a lot. But at times, her narcissistic self just comes out.

DOMINANT: Hyojae words things with confidence and certainty. Compare "Itaewon is this way" to "maybe Itaewon is this way, or something?". She's firm and forceful in her approach to problems. She also believes in 'tough love', and try to 'help' others by challenging them to prove themselves, as she herself would. If met by opposition, she reacts confrontational to defend herself. Because she's constantly trying to be 'dominant' in every situation, subconsciously, she does in either by being louder and better than those around her, or more restrained and therefore superior to those who lose their cool. Her confidence and demanding natures makes her a natural leader; she's more likely to take charge if necessary rather than fumbling around worrying. She will 'challenge' others in order to show her respect for the person's strength. She believes that it is important to 'prove oneself'. She says things like "if anyone tries to mess with me, I make them wish they'd never started on me in the first place". She loves competition... but hate to lose. Words like 'hot-blooded', 'brash', 'domineering', 'overbearing', might be used to describe her domineering temperament.

She can be a great, supportive friend who'd take a bullet for those close to her, unless you get on her bad side, in which case she'll try her best to 'rub your nose into the dirt'. It is important to her that she's strong and courageous, not afraid of anything. She will 'rise to the challenge', in order to prove herself, and look for opportunities to do so. It's important for her to be tough and strong. As a dominant person, she strives for independence, because to be dependent is to rely on others, to not be in the superior position. Dependence is weakness. She is 'thick-skinned' in a way, in many cases bulletproof against the criticisms of others, able to shrug or laugh them off.

PERFECTIONIST: She finds it hard to be happy with her work unless it is of a very high standard. It can be self-destructive and time wasting as she often procrastinate to avoid doing important tasks in what she sees as a substandard way. Hyojae pushes herself beyond the normal limits to achieve her goals and people are sometimes surprised by what she can accomplish. She does not deal well with pressure and close deadlines, particularly when her work is important, as she feels that she does not have enough time to make her work 'perfect' and therefore be happy with it. It can be both a blessing and a curse. Hyojae is not the same as those who suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), although she can be obsessive about her work.

PRUDENT: Hyojae is prudent in a way that, she wants everything to be perfect for her taste. It becomes a negative trait when she becomes too controlling, or becomes too much of a perfectionist, though she tries to lessen this sometimes, her members are a testimony of that.

REBEL: Hyojae is a person who stands up for her own personal opinions despite what anyone else says. As a true rebel, she stands up for what she believe is right, not against what's right. It's not about smoking crack, drinking till she's rendered unconscious, or beating the crap out of anyone that crosses her path. It's all about being an individual and refusing to follow a crowd that forces her to think the same way they do even if it means becoming an outcast to society. She knows who she is and do not compromise her individuality or personal opinion for anyone. She's straightforward and honest and she will sure as hell tell it like it is. She is a person who stands up for what she thinks is right, or just her opinions, regardless of what anyone (often her authorities) think. It's about not following the crowd and going through the everyday motions. She is usually outspoken and straightforward, meaning she doesn't care what others think and will tell off anyone. However, there are exceptions; some rebellion is just through passive-aggressive actions (i.e., Ghandi). 'Rebels' aren't non-conformists such as those they would define as "Gothic" or "Emo;"

If she doesn't conform, it's because she actually thinks conforming to the situation and not speaking out is morally wrong. Being rebellious isn't something she does by choice, she's born with it.

Shows a tough persona but deep inside, all she wants is to be loved and cared for. According to her brother, trainers and friends, she is very well known for having a strong personality. She is mostly direct to the point and doesn't go all i'm-giving-you-a-sign-so-notice-it.
Hyojae seems really strong but her heart is really soft--a trait that only comes out when she's with her friends and brother. She rather keep to herself than mingle with other new people; that sometimes, she gets labeled across rude for people who don't know her.

She is very sensitive and care for other people more than herself. She is very frank and doesn't hesitate to speak out her mind but makes sure that it doesn't sound so much like an insult or an overreacting comment. Hyojae is confident and doesn't care about the hate other girl trainees give her in her past as a former trainee of Cube and J. Tune, instead, she used their hate as her fuel to keep her going on and learning more to prove to the other trainees that she isn't what they think who she is.

How she acts off stage and offcam: Hyojae seems really strong but her heart is really soft. She always think of others before herself and she's really sweet. She's good at taking care of others. She seems really serious about all things but she laughs easily, innocently and goodheartedly at almost every legit thing. Very easy-going if you dig deeper.

How she acts on-stage: She treats the stage as a second home. She makes sure her moves are perfect, her voice is conditioned and her appearance is one of the best. She gives off a cool vibe and a very mysterious aura when she steps onstage. People who don't know her that well thinks she's arrogant and rude. She also has a bottle of swag everywhere she goes. Its like, when she walks, the word 'SWAG' trails behind her feet. Charisma is always with her wherever she goes, it's like the word 'CHARISMA' and 'SWAG' are her shadows.

How she acts around her friends: She's very caring and has a sweet spot for all of her friends. Heck, it's like she's taking care of her children. She won't even let mosquitoes near them. Very understanding and calm, she does what a rational person does. Doesn't take any side, thus, tries to solve the problem without taking one's side to avoid injustice.

Hyojae came from a family of four in Busan, South Korea. A father, mother and and older brother. When she was younger, she initially wanted to be a doctor like her father but when she was growing up, she saw how much her older brother puts his passion into music--even practically forcing it to her, and soon, music also grew on her. It started with her playing the guitar, and then piano followed, and finally, the drums. Her brother finds it amazing how his younger sister grew to love music as much as he does when in fact, she paid no attention to it before.

They started recording song covers at a young age, the videos kept by their parents as a collection. But then come middle school, her older brother started getting into music entertainments; first there is LOEN, and then DSP followed suit; "when you grow a little older, join oppa, okay?" he said, and when Hyojae stepped into middle school, she followed her brpther's path and auditioned to CUBE Ent., as her brother's training there as well. She got accepted the first time and was grouped with trainees (who soon debuted as A-Pink), but when her brother got injured, she stopped to take care of him. When he auditioned to J.Tune, she did as well; and both of them got accepted. And lastly, Brand New Stardom. 

But then, things went downhill from there. Yes, her brother debuted under the group Block B, along with their group of friends but things hapened. From the contracts not being watertight, to a whole lot of controversies. "Hyojae, don't wait for oppa anymore. A talet like yours doesn't deserve to be wasted. Go, run after your dreams and stop worrying about us." She remembered Zico telling her, and what was left for her to do? She decided to step out of her brother's shadows and find herself a company that would help her reach her dreams.

Alas, C&P Entertainment. But wait...how did they come to contact her? Clue: Woo Jiho.

(add) She was enrolled in ballet classes by her parents when she was four years old and trained up to fourteen years old. Come late fourteen years, she started taking hip hop dance classes along with jazz. And that's how she became versatile in dancing.

– BROTHER :: Ahn Jae Hyo (25--turning 2 on December23) / Sub–Vocal, Visual of Boygroup, Block B. / NARICSSISTIC, Overprotective but overly sweet. / Jaehyo could go from "You see, we both are blessed human beings. I mean, just look at our faces! Aren't we pretty, my dear sister?" to "Why are your shorts so....short?! These idiots are a bunch of erted guguys!!! Go cover yourself in a.....sack or a curtain or something!" real quick. "I swear to God and all things holy, Ahn Hyojae, stop wearing y clothes or I'll wrap you up in bubble wraps! Ah! I'm going crazy!" But even so, he holds his one and only sister dear to his heart. He only wants what's best for her and strives to give her everything that he could. "Don't marry even after fifty years okay? Hm, well, maybe when you're 65 years old, I'll allow you to marry. But for now, don't leave oppa for another guy okay? Nobody could steal you away from me. I'll....flick them."

– Bestfriend :: Woo Jiho (24) / rapper and record producer. Famously known as Zico, the leader of Block B / Fierce rapper on stage but very dorky and funny offstage / "ISTG AHN HYOJAE. STOP. ING. MAKING. ADORABLE.FACES. Our fragile hearts can't take it! And besides, you wouldn't want us all getting jailed and being in the headlines for poking some eyes out, ayt? Stop it. Hey, Jihoon-ah? Hand me over a plastic please, let's try and cover our kitty's face." Jiho, just like Jaehyo, is overly protective of Hyojae. He acts as if he's her father, when in fact, it's Hyojae who takes care of Block B (she cooks for them, cleans their dorm, does their laundry, etc) back then when she was not yet too busy with her trainee life. When she got busy, Jiho was the first to whine about her absence. "Where is my kitty? LET HER OUT FROM WHATEVER DUNGEON SHE'S IN! I MISS MY KITTTTTYYYYYYY!"

– ETERNAL BASHER :: Pyo Jihoon (23) / Rapper, Maknae of Block B./ Charismatic rapper onstage but a playful guy offstage. Diva-ish, basically Hyojae's boy version / "Aww is the little kitty feeling under the weather today? Woke up at the wrong side of the bed? Awww poor kitty kitty, c'mere, I'll pat you." Pyo Jihoon lives for Hyo's awkward/embarrassing moments. He's proud that he's her number one basher, jokingly. He always picked on her whenever they have a dancing-slash-rap battle but that's because he wants her to be at her best. He was the devil side to her angel side as he would like to put it, as when Hyo's pushing herself to her limit, P.O's the one who's forcing her to take a break, or take a rest in general. He calls Hyo 'my pretty doll'. He's like her Knight in Shining Armor. He hates it when others are making Hyo angry and upset. That's his job, alone. "Hey...how's my pretty doll? Come on now, who made you upset? Tell me, I'll snap them off. How dare they? I'm the only one allowed to make you upset. Heheh kidding. You need a hug, doll?"

– BLOCK B ::  / South Korean Pop Group under Seven Seasons / Block B is like Hyojae's second family. Though they are all grown ups, they still act like a bunch of kids to Hyojae, making her basically their mother who takes care of them. 
Park Kyung: "How is my baby girl doing? Are you getting enough rest? Eat well okay! Since you take care of us all the time, we wouldn't know what to do if ever you get sick! Keke. Just be safe, baby girl."
Lee Taeil: "Jihoon is being such a . Keeps on mocking my height. I swear, one of these days, I'll kill him in his sleep. Oh!!! Hyojae-ah! I'm just kidding! Hehe...he? Oppa is not anything like that, mhmm?"

– Close Friend :: Han NamJoo (25) / Vocal Trainer at C&P Ent / Sassy, Frank and Outgoing / Namjoo is the sister Hyojae never had. They were introduced before as a vocal trainer-vocal student. Namjoo is the only girl out of her four siblings, that's why she sees Hyojae as her sister, maybe not by blood, but for the bond they shared and still continue to share despite their busy lives.

– Close Friend :: Lee Hana (21) / Leader and Lead Vocal of Mayhem / Kind, Funny, Prideful and Abrupt / Hana and Hyojae blend quite well, to be honest. They are like each other's shadows. When one of them is upset, goes missing, angry, etc., they'll be the one to know where the other is, or when the other is going to cool her head down.

Trainee Years.  1 year in Cube (14 years old), 1 year in J.Tune (15 years old), Three yearsin Brand New Stardom (16-19 years old), 19-Present: C&P Ent.
Trainee Life.  Out of nowhere, the CEO of C&P Entertainment contacted her, asking her to report on C&P Ent, and bring her audition tape. So in doubt, she asked, why all of a sudden? It turns out, Zico pulled some strings so that Hyojae wouldn't find it hard to look for a company, and that Zico spoke so highly of her that the producers are looking forward to her audition.

So the next day, she auditioned by personally delivering her audition tape in C&P Entertainment, which just so happens that it was Kim Hyojun (*I made up names since I don't know the staff yet T^T), a producer, who was entering the building the moment Hyojae arrived so she called for his attention and politely asked him if he could pass her audition tape to the recruitment team of C&P Entertainment and he said yes, Hyojae left after thanking him. Three days later, she received a call, telling her to report to C&P Entertainment the next day and that she needs to bring her audition materials (i.e: music).

The moment she started to rap, she immediately got SkyHigh, Hyojun and Javin's approvals. (*Again, I made up all producer names). After her rap piece, she bowed down and prepared her music for her dance. But before she pressed play, she looked at the ceiling and let off  a thankful smile with her eyes closed. As she was dancing, she remembers how her parents were the number one persons to actually support her love of dancing when she was little starting from enrolling her at multiple dance lessons, from ballet to hiphop to jazz to attending her numerous recitals even if they're cooped up with work.  With that though in mind, she gave her best performance, chanting in her mind 'I'm doing this for Mom and Dad and Jaehyo oppa and Block B oppas' over ad over again. "I like this girl. She has this air of strong determination to her." Another producer told the top producer who's beside her, to which, the male producer nodded. "Her rap is over the top for a female rapper but her dancing...wow, it's like she's demanding for all eyes to be on her. This is rare." He replied.

"This is a rare case, where I'm totally out of words to say but wow. You had this air of dominance around you. It's as if you were ordering us with your eyes and moves that we should only look at you and no one but you throughout the duration of your audition. Wow. Thank you for a wonderful audition." Hyojae wouldn't forget the words P.K told her the moment they evaluated her. She would've cried tears of joy right then and there but she gathered herself. "Congratulations, kid. Welcome to C&P Entertainment." SkyHigh told her as she bowed dow to everyone.Finally, she's a C&PTrainee. 

As a trainee, she was looked upon because of her various talents, she has many surprises inside her body. She can rap and dance excellently at the same time. But you cannot remove the bullies in every trainees. There are some who bully her because saying she can only rap and dance but NOT sing. Some even got to the extent of comparing her to TOP, saying he could sing better than her. And it's alright. Hyojae acknowledges it and ignores the unnecessary comments.

Even so, she's respected just as much because of her rapping prowess. She literally walks, works and spits word like a boss, carrying the pride Zico, Jaehyo and Block B has for her, thus, gaining recognition among her co-trainees and producers alike.

Pre-debut.  

She had a hand in composing some songs in various Block B albums and was credited under the pen name "HJ."

Scandals.  April Fool's joke of Zico and Hyojae. (aka DATING SCANDAL: Dating scandal with Zico, SevenSeasons just laughed it off and Zico posting about it relentlessly for a whole two weeks, finding the rumour humorous. At some point, in april fool's, he "confirmed" that they were dating which ended up as an april fool's joke, making fans dismayed. Zico laughed about it, mentioning that they're just like close siblings.)

Hello. Please introduce yourself. Annyeonghaseyo! I'm Ahn HyoJae, 21 years old; turning 22 on the fourth of December *eyesmiles*. I rap and dance and I also write lyrics and compose music. Please take care of me!
How does it feel to finally be debuting? Honestly, I feel both relieved, excited even,  and a little uneasy to debut. Relived, because truth be told, I wanted everyone to know that I am not just a pretty face, but I also have talents. People who look down on me just because I look delicate... I want to prove them wrong... Ne, beauty is not everything. And a little uneasy because... how do I say this...after all the hardships I've been through, I don't think I'd be able to handle anything more but if it means having to take it for our group, I'd willingly do so!

What is something you would like to do with the other members? A lot of things, actually! The first being able to conquer all stages with my girls as we hold hands together and sing with out fans. But on the short run, I'd like us to reach out to the orphanages and do charity works; not because of media play, but that's because that's what we aspire to do, us girls, we want to help in every way that we can and inspire at the same time.

▸ Zico performing 'It hurts' onstage(on an wards show or smth) , and he went to Hyo's place, took her hand, and asked her to sing Sojin's parts.
