Ugh okay so a while ago, I stumbled on a fanfiction where the only thing I remember about it was just one scene: it was something along the lines of a young boy and girl playing together and then I think maybe a war started (as in, I think bombs started to drop) and then the scene changes to years later with older people and one is pulling another out of the water and they're all happy and I think they might have been some sort of resistance? I know this is probably the worst explanation ever but it's all I remember and maybe even that could be wrong but if this even kinda reminds you of something familiar (it doesn't have to be exact or anything), then please let me know!! It's honestly bothering me so much that I can't remember or find this fanfic. Thank you!
