What is a comfort fic?

I got this tag in a writing contest and it is a "comfort" one

 

 

Does any one know what it does mean?

It's usually a fic where one comfort another. Like on of them is hurt (emotionnally for most cases, but it can be physical too) and the other one is there to comfort him and make him better. At least, that's how it is most of the time ^^
