Fantasy Fanfic, Anyone?

I've never written any fantasy story before. But I just reread my old blog post and found this post about List of Challenges given to me by my readers. And there is this challenge from TaeNysmith22 to write a fantasy genre fanfic. And I thought, why not giving it a shot? So I try to do a very simple mind mapping and made this:

I haven't really made the plot yet, but what do you guys think? I am not gonna reveal more than this. But I want to know what do you guys think about writing fantasy genre?

Oh! Fantasy! Well I love fantasy so much, but I found it hard to write one myself. Although I have the ideas and the plot figured out already. So, that being said, I'm not an expert in writing fantasy stories. But I'm trying to write one no matter awful the end result would be. These days, I've been reading fantasy genre books to get the overall idea about fantasy, how would the authors describe the world, the description, all that. Sometimes I would search for some tips and advice on how to write it, you know, as guidelines. After all, writing fantasy is quite a tough job. If it's about a new universe where no one has ever found it before, then you have to create the whole world, its map, and everything. The characters, the ones who resides there, the rules, everything. But, it will be a very fun adventure when you have the passion :)

And about your fanfic, I found it interesting. You have sorted the big picture of the characters. Since it's a challenge from your reader, I would like to encourage you to go for it. Take the challenge and write it! Good luck :D
