Lee Soo Man becomes first Korean to be awarded at '2016 Asia Game Changer Awards'

On October 27, SM Entertainment's CEO Lee Soo Man attended the '2016 Asia Game Changer Awards' held at the United Nations in New York.

The 'Asia Game Changer Awards' was first held in 1956 by John D. Rockefeller the 3rd with the purpose of recognizing those who annually improve the future of society in the fields of politics, economics, the arts, culture, social issues, educations, and more as "game changers."

During Lee Soo Man's introduction, he was introduced as the one to thank for"allowing K-Pop to become the worldwide sensation it is today as well as creating numerous markets for its expansion." He was coined as a "music game changer" and awarded alongside several other representatives from Asia.

Others who attended the ceremony and received awards include Chinese film director Zhang Yimou, architect I.M. Pei, doctor Sanduk Ruit, orchestral conductor Karim Wasfi, and more.
