Hello, we are: VROMANCE

I do not own the groups, subs, videos, links, or audio that I am mentioning and featuring in this review and first impression.

Hello hello!

I got bored all of a sudden and decided to write a small first impression of these two rookie groups that came out this 2016! I might make this into a regular thing when I get bored and it might be a good way for people to get into groups. Remember, this is my own personal review of the groups.

For both VROMANCE and NCT 127, I had only recently gotten into them in terms of learning the members names, watching multiple performances, and some variety and talk shows. It's a good way to get the feel of a group, yeah? But when I say recent, I mean about 2 days ago recent. Since then, I've been binge-watching variety for NCT (still watching NCT Life right now. Watch it from this playlist on Youtube. The subber is Art of the King who does the hardsub of NCT Life) and I binged on VROMANCE by watching from this great English-sub team, VROMANCE Subs.

The next blog will be about NCT (it was too long). So this is for only VROMANCE!

"We are the VROMANCE, we're comin' for ya. Hello, we are VROMANCE!"

VROMANCE is a 4 member boy group that debuted on July 11, 2016 (07.11.16) with the song, SHE (여자 사람 친구) featuring a cameo of Mamamoo's Hwasa. They are currently signed under RBW Entertainment, the company that houses girl group Mamamoo, rapper Basick, hip hop duo Geeks, Esna, and a few others.

My thoughts in general: I had already known about the supposed "brother group" of Mamamoo, but I was grasping to get around to checking them out. I really like learning about underrated music, although they're rookies, I was impressed by their professionalism. I watched several pre-debut performances they've done and did a little research on the members. Apparently they were vocal coaches and did guide tracks for other artists!

MV and Album review: When I first watched their debut MV, it was around 2 AM in the morning and I was just listening to Jonghyun's "She Is" before stumbling across the video. It went like, "Oh hey, it's that one group I wanted to listen to! Let's try it now!" Oh boy, that was a mistake. I thought Hwasa being in the MV was pretty random, but it was nice to see her face after a while. The colors are so bright for someone who is about to pass out. I was wide awake and listening the moment the pink came out haha. The song itself was a nice modern day motown feel to it, but I was a little disappointed by the title track? I checked out the rest of the album afterwards and I was feeling a little better about the title track afterwards. The album is charming and relaxing for a debut, and the other tracks showcase the members more. I recommend 오래된 연인들 (Old Lovers) and 빙 Bing (Feat. Big Tray).

Do you have a bias yet?: Personally, it's too early to tell, but I might just like the group as a whole and scream about all the members individually at the same time. It's happened with Stellar, it might happen here.

Overall, I think VROMANCE is a comfortable, new group to get into. They have pleasant vocals and the members are enjoyable to watch on stage. They seem a little awkward in front of the camera, but they are still fresh rookies. In front of fans, they're even sweeter.
