PERSONALITY :　Hoseok is someone who is hard to approach due to his stoic facial expression, but once you get to know him, he's really caring on the inside. If one word were to describe him it would be warm. He always puts his all in everything that he does and is very patient. He likes making new friends and making connections wherever he goes. He'll always be the one who makes sure that everyone's included in whatever he is doing. People tend to fall for his boyish charms whenever he jokes around with close friends and shows how well-mannered he is.

He rarely gets angry, but if he does, he's a whole different person. His bluntness will cut like a sword and he won't be able to be stopped until he gets his point across. He speaks before thinking and often gets him into trouble. Because he likes to be social, Hoseok is also very outspoken. He'll always speak his mind and it's usually laced with sarcasm which people would take him as rude sometimes, but he can't help it. He hates it when people beat around the bush instead of being direct with him. He's also very strict whenever it comes to work. He doesn't like any distratctions or anyone to bother him when he's working because it disrupts his thought process. 

BACKGROUND :　Chae Hoseok was born on October 31, 1989 and was an only child. His father worked as a photographer for the entertainment industry while his mother worked as a head chef at one of Busan's top hotels. With being an only child, there was a lot of pressure on him because his parents had high hopes for him. They would bring him to their work in hopes of getting him to follow in either of their footsteps. But they were proved wrong when he took interest in music. He loved it as a child and even though he did excel in his parents' respective talents of photography and cooking, Hoseok dream of becoming an idol when he was younger. His relationship with his parents turned sour when he claimed that he'd attend Seoul's School of Performing Arts. They were very disappointed in him for chasing after such a hard lifestyle, but he was determined to get into the industry.

Hoseok ended up living with his aunt while attending SOPA and everything for him was going smoothly. Hoseok had talent for dancing and it was something that he was in love with. But fate wasn't on his side. He injured himself while attempting to do a front flip. Hoseok had landed wrong which resulted with his muscles pushing out his kneecap and his dream of performing was taken away from him. He went through months of physical therapy after getting surgery and his leg was entirely wrapped into a boot. Eventually, he had to transfer schools because there wasn't anything he could do at SOPA anymore. He moved back in with his parents and caved into pursuing photography as a career. For his junior and senior years in high school, he went back to normal high school while working alongside his father as a part-time job. Hoseok was acknowledged for his talent in photography and was chosen as a high school intern for his father's publishing company. He and his father were able to work together alongside models as they were invited to cover Fashion Week in China as well as a couple other photoshoots. Whenever he could, he would accompany his cousins when they flew out to Japan to visit their father as a change of scenery. In order to build up his portfolio, he interned at his aunt's fashion company and was lucky enough to work side by side with his younger cousin.

Once college came around, he and his family moved to America because of his father getting transferred to Mnet's American branch in LA as the head of publishing. Hoseok then attended USC's School of Art and Design (University of Southern California) double majoring majoring in Photography and Business while minoring in Intermedia. He then finally graduated with a and Bachelor's Degree in the Arts and Business at the age of twenty-three and began working at Mnet for a couple of years. Eventually, he himself, got transferred back to the main branch in Seoul when he was twenty-five as a publicist. After working there for two years, Hoseok wanted a change of scenery and wanted to get more involved within the industry and his co-worker told him about how Big Hit Entertainment was looking to hire more people to be a part of their behind-the-scenes team. Deciding to give it a try, he applied to Big Hit Ent. as a part of the public relations team and they called him in for an interview. They loved his portfolio and background as an ex SOPA student which soon led to his acceptance in the company. Big Hit Entertainment was like a breath of fresh air for him and he proved his worth when he was offered the job to become the manager of their upcoming girl group.
