For her appearance, she first started off with dark brown hair but doesn't mind dying her hair different colors. In fact, she prefers to dye it a little bit more on the lighter side and always loves to add texture to her hair. Her hair is naturally straight, but she usually either styles it in lazy waves or styles it in a bun or double french braid. Most of the time you'll see her in comfy but stylish clothes because she's always active with dance but cares about how she looks. She also has a small soundwave tattoo on her wrist of her parents saying that they love her. Another tattoo that she has is a small lotus flower in the small area behind her left ear. It's a reminder that even when all odds are against her, she'll be able to rise and bloom again. Both of her ears are pierced with three on each lobe plus a helix piercing on her right ear. Tends to leave her hair down most of the time but has it tied half up and half down. Her go-to hair styling is if she wears it down, her hair is most likely to be curled into loose waves. When she needs her hair out of the way, it's either in a high bun/ponytail or double french braids. Due to dancing most of her life as well, her body is pretty toned and she takes pride in her toned stomach where you can lightly see the outlines of her abs. 

style — She loves street fashion. Leggings and shorts are her favorite things to wear because of how comfortable they are. Her closet usually consists of black, white, grey, and burgundy clothing. The only colorful articles of clothing she owns are her oversized graphic tees, windbreakers, or crewnecks. Every day she wears jerseys of any kind (basketball, hockey, football, etc), crop tops, flannels w/sports bras, or loose v-necks. On a day to day basis, she'll always be seen with a pair of Nikes, Adidas, or whatever is the latest popular shoe out on the market. Her go-to accessories are her collection of snapbacks, dad hats, beanies, and bucket hats. Eunjae also tends to wear a lot of hoodies besides her windbreakers and crewnecks because it's perfect for the weather and comfortable. When she's out buying clothes, she also won't hesitate to buy from the guy section of the store if she sees something she likes or knows she can pull it off. Has a soft spot for getting to dress up once in a while due to the fact that she's always dressed to be comfortable and able to dance in 24/7. Heels and makeup are her lowkey weakness. Since she also wears glasses, she doesn't mind wearing them out but prefers to wear her contacts most of the time. carpe diem — Everyday, Eunjae works with carpe diem as her mantra. She doesn't like wasting any time and tries her best to be productive whenever she can. If her situation begins to look tough, she reminds herself that even if she's facing hardships at that moment, tomorrow will be a new day. Her outlook on life is very positive and loves to look on the brighter side of things. It's her "can do" attitude that led her into getting a lotus flower as her tattoo. Because of the flower's meaning, she runs her life by always having an open mind to things and tries to look at all sides of the equation. 

always shine. shine as bright as the sun. — Ever since she was young, she always had this bright personality to her that immediately drew people towards her. She had this aura that made her really easy to approach. Eunjae is very friendly with everyone and loves to make a lot of friends. Her favorite past time is to joke around with her friends and loves to tease them with endless remarks. She also loves to pull pranks once in a while whenever she's in the mood and you can always find her smiling.

stay hungry, stay humble. — Another mantra that Eunjae goes by. With all her time in the dance community, whether it'd be in the USA or in Korea, she noticed that as more people began to be successful, the more they strayed away from her roots. She always likes to remind everyone around her to never forget their roots and to always be thankful of how successful and blessed they are at any moment. She loves to encourage others and also give sincere advice to those that always come to her for advice. Eunjae never loses her head if she wins at dance battles or competitions, she will always acknowledge her competitors and spread good vibes to those around her.

I won't stop until it's perfect. — Eunjae tends to be a perfectionist whenever it comes to herself and the arts. Whenever she's running rehearsals, she makes sure that the routine is flawless, down to the littlest of details. If one person is off by even a little bit whether it'd be if a person's hand was off by an inch or even if they couldn't match the level of their teammates, then she will call them out. Everything needs to be flawless and up to her expectations and she will continue to revise it until she thinks it's good enough. All of her things need to be orderly and organized in order for her to function correctly as well. This kind of thinking often leads her to overthink everything and tends to get highly emotional. She'll either immediately close herself off to control herself or her temper will run short and she'll begin to snap at those around her without realizing it.

loving, outgoing introvert — Since she's been a trainee, Eunjae has always been used to being by herself. Because of her passion and drive to debut as soon as she could, She tends to be very independent and doesn't like to lean on other people too much. She'll see herself as a burden and prefers to keep to herself. Eunjae forgets that she can lean on those that have trained alongside her who has now become her members rather than being stuck in her own world. She'll always put the ones she cares about first and won't hesitate to drop what she's doing in order to help a friend out. Most of the time she's too selfless to look after herself and makes sure those around her are happy and forgets to do her own things she wishes to do. Eunjae will bottle things up until it gets too overwhelming for her and usually has a mental breakdown in her room. Also, even if she's easy to get along with, she'll also need time to herself to recharge after so many interactions. She loves getting along with others or meeting new people, but there are days where she prefers to be in the background and observe others or days to herself, not being disturbed and recharging from interacting with others so much. If she's too gassed out and still recharging, she'll tend to come off as rude for her impassive and quiet personality which people tend to take the wrong way. 

"to put it bluntly..." — Because of her natural social-like personality, she won't hesitate to put her input on things. She hates it when someone tries to beat around the bush with her. She'll be truthful and upfront with people if she needs to be whether it'd be she's talking to someone she's close with or someone she's just casually talking to. Sometimes, she doesn't even know her limits or when to stop talking when she's hurt, someone. Her replies tend to be taken the wrong way because she tends to be very sarcastic/witty at times.

— what shaped me into who i am

living the American dream — Moved to Los Angeles at the age of three with her parents. They decided to move there from Busan in hopes of having a better life for their daughter. Her father managed to open up a traditional Korean restaurant in the heart of LA, where Koreatown is located. At night, their restaurant would turn into a street food stall where they would offer the different types of street foods you would find along the streets back in Korea. Her parents are very loving and supportive of whatever dreams that she chased.

dance is who I am — Since everything was so easily accessible in LA, there were many things that had caught Eunjae's attention growing up. She never really stuck to anything. She tried playing sports, but she quickly got tired of it. Eunjae tried playing an instrument, she couldn't sit still all the time. But at the age of ten, she was introduced to dance when her best friend asked if she wanted to come along with her to a dance class that he had found interesting. Seeing as there was nothing else to do, Eunjae gladly went along with him and they took a workshop (center girl in pink tank top @ 3:15) at IDA Hollywood. It was something that was out of her comfort zone, but something that she really enjoyed doing. She dabbled in dance before whenever the music shows would appear on the TV at her family's restaurant and would always try to imitate their moves. Eunjae then also found it as an outlet whenever things got too overwhelming for her. Eunjae had fallen in love with the art and enjoyed the way the music took over her body. She eventually signed up for classes and became a regular student at the studio all throughout her middle school and high school years. The more that she went, her knowledge of hip-hop and dance as a whole increased as she danced in all different styles: hip hop, contemporary, jazz, ballet, etc. Her hard work paid off as she was noticed by one of the choreographers of the studio: Matt Steffanina. He noticed her hunger and passion for dance as she religiously went to classes and even went to other studios to grow to her fullest potential. Matt wanted to become her mentor and approached her after she took one of his classes. She was shocked and thankful at the same time for something this big. He was one of the biggest names in the dance community and to be noticed by him was something she could never believe, especially since she was just a sophomore in high school. Ever since then, he had been giving her one on one lessons as well as inviting her to be a part of some of his dance projects. 

mini youtuber — On the side, Eunjae thought it would be a good idea to start a Youtube Channel in order to get herself known within the dance community and build connections. She started her channel at the age of fourteen and her career began to grow from there. As she continued to dance alongside Matt, she met even more well-known choreographers in LA such as Ian Eastwood, Brian Puspos, Keone and Mari Madrid, Kyle Hanagami, etc. Eunjae was featured in some of their concept videos on Youtube and her fanbase began to grow. She eventually started doing ukulele covers with the support of her dad and fellow peers as she picked up playing the instrument one random summer and she received a lot of feedback after posting her first cover on her channel. Her videos average around 100k to 500k views each time she uploads and eventually gained around 500k subscribers. 

new addition and new opportunities — When she was fifteen her parents gave birth to her little brother, Eunwoo. Once he entered into her life, he was the ray of sunshine that cheered her up when school and dance got too overwhelming for her. Her career in dance was growing to its peak at that time and so was her Youtube channel. Word had spread throughout the internet that YG Entertainment was going to have global auditions and a lot of her friends and supporters told her that she should give it a try. Since she always adored the way her favorite groups performed on stage, Eunjae thought about it and went for it. She auditioned for YG Entertainment when they had an international audition in LA and got accepted. She moved to Korea in hopes of a fresh start and found it as a chance to really connect to her culture. With Eunwoo still being so young, her parents decided to stay back home and eventually follow her back home once they were ready. She trained at YG until she was at the age of eighteen. Eunjae loved the company. She was close to the mentors that were introduced to her as well as the actual artists that YG had assigned to them from time to time during their evaluation period. But jealousy was inescapable amongst her peers. Before arriving at the company, word had spread about her reputation with Youtube and how Eunjae actually lived up to her reputation, everyone was after her when one trainee heard from one of the higher-ups that she has a really high chance to debut. Trainees tried to frame her for the wrong things and even tried to bully her into quitting. She caved. She was about to quit, but to make it worse, the officials finally believed one of the made-up stories that the other trainees said and framed her into being caught into the act. So they terminated her contract with the company and she was released. 

taking a break — Once she was released, Eunjae took a break from being a trainee for a year and concentrated on taking classes to further hone in on her craft in dance. She became more active on her Youtube once more and began to release her own concept videos and built connections with the dancers at 1Million Dance Studio. She got more recognition for being a familiar face on the studio's Youtube Channel as well. Her family had also settled back in Korea during her trainee years at YG and finally having time to spend as much time as she wanted with them, Eunjae took advantage of that to grow closer to her brother and help out with the family's restaurant that settled in Hongdae. Time to time when she and some of the people from 1Million would check out the underground battles, they'd watch the rap battles that would happen before the dance battles. Eunjae began to grow interested in it since hip-hop and R&B music was her favorite genre of music to listen to. She knew how to rap, but that was only by following the covers that she would post from her favorite groups/artists. But being able to see the actual real scene in front of her, Eunjae fell in love with it even more and would practice more/observe and mentally take notes on how to improve her rapping. She fell in love with the way that rappers were able to be blunt towards their opponents and talk about real things that were happening personally or within the society. She would hit up one of her close friends from YG to help her out and have lab sessions within a studio to help improve her skills in rapping and composing.

— the important people in my life

father — Chae Jaehyun // 55 // chef // loving, dorky // He is her number one supporter and biggest fan. Her father is very affectionate towards and overprotective of her. Whenever they're together, they would joke around together or he'd bug her to show him whatever new routine she learned that day. He loves to display her and her group's achievements in the restaurant and the both of them love to cook together in the kitchen. He teaches her all of the family's/restaurant's recipes and usually ends up in a food fight with Eunwoo as their taste tester and scorekeeper. 

mother — Chae Jihyo // 52 // restaurant owner // caring, supportive // Her mother is the person she looks up to the most and is the person that pushed her to pursue the career of her dreams. She is Eunjae's pillar of support and number one person she goes to for support. The two of them always spend time together by going on walks by the Han River or preparing banchan for the members. Her mother's hugs are what comforts Eunjae the most. She's the only person who can easily read Eunjae when she's hiding something or worrying about something and calls it out right away. 

brother — Chae Eunwoo // 7 // student  // mischievous, hyper // The ray of sunshine in her life and the person that can completely take away her stress and worries. Because of how innocent he is, Eunjae loves to dote on him and spoil him whenever she can. He loves to bug her to take him out to play sports or get some ice cream. The pair like to get competitive with each other and usually place a bet on whatever they do whether they end up being at an arcade or eating food together. He looks up to her because of how passionate she is for what she does and just like their father, is her biggest fan. He tries his best to be there for her because he can read right through her if she doesn't want their mom to find out and needs to figure things out on her own. Despite their age difference, Eunwoo wants to be there for his sister as much as he can.

best friend — Sori Na // 23 // Choreographer // mature, mischievous // Eunjae met her when she found 1Million when she first moved to Korea. She was exploring Seoul by herself and a couple of her friends back in LA suggested that she look for the studio. Sori was preparing herself for her class when Eunjae walked in and introduced herself. They chatted for a bit after Sori explained how their studio worked and Eunjae took her class. After they were finished, Sori switched numbers with her since she was new to Seoul and told her to contact her if she needed any help or wanted to hang out. Eunjae also got to feature in some of her videos during her trainee days. They like to train together and drink together. Sori is like her older sister and the two always like to go clubbing together with the rest of 1Million. Because of her tomboyish personality, Sori and Eunjae act like bros and act like fools together. They're always up to no good and usually need to call Eunho or Junsun for help. Eunjae usually crashed at her place if she didn't feel like going home after training and the dorms were becoming too stuffy for her.  {fc: sori na}

best friend — Kwon Minhee // 21 // Student // sassy, blunt // The two were assigned to be partners for a dance project since Minhee was a dance major. They immediately hit it off once they found out they had mutual interests in dancers and choreographers. Plus, Minhee was a fan of Eunjae and admitted it when they first introduced each other. Minhee is the closest Eunjae has for a real best friend. She doesn't see her as an idol or a YouTuber, she sees Eunjae for who she is. Minhee is the person that keeps her in check and isn't afraid to tell her the truth to her problems whenever she rants about them. The two love to go on food adventures together and are seen as a twins amongst their peers at university because of their similar personalities and looks. {fc: kim doyeon}

best friend — Lee Nari // 21 // Trainee // headstrong, determined // They met when the two were grouped together as trainees with three other girls. Nari and her were roommates and they got along well. Both knew that the other three were shallow and fake and wanted to always be the top dogs amongst the other trainees. She was the only one who fought for Eunjae to stay because only she and the other three girls knew that it was the others that filed the complaint against Eunjae  and framed her. Nari even managed to convince Eunjae to stay but it was already far too late. Eunjae had to leave but the two still keep in contact. Nari is like a sister to her and Eunjae looks after her whenever she can with what she has. The two of them go around Hongdae whenever they're both free and invite Minhee along time to time if exams weren't happening. Nari and Eunjae would also help out at her family's restaurant, Fusion Bay, time to time when they were free and that's where Nari works part-time to take care of herself. {fc: heize}

friends — WINNER // 22-25 // Idol // dorky, funny // They met when she was a trainee and they were given the chance to mentor the trainees. Even though she was under Mino, when all five of them would train their groups together, she easily got along with them. After she left YG, they still kept in contact and often checked up on her. Even when Taehyun announced his leave, she was there for him along with the other members. They dote on her and give her advice whenever she seeks for it. They support her whenever they can and hang out whenever their schedules permit to. The other boys always try to play cupid on her and Mino once they noticed that something is going on between them. 

older brother figure — Jay Park // 31 // Rapper, CEO // funny, caring // Eunjae knows Jay Park through his collaboration and time at 1Million. Due to the projects, she was invited to be a part of, the two naturally grew close to each other along with all the other members of the studio. Because of being one of the youngest of the bunch, Jay likes to a lot. They have this love-hate sibling relationship ever since she got paired up with him for a short part in their 'All I Wanna Do' collaboration. He's also the person she goes to talk to whenever she misses the US and whenever they're together, their conversations are always in English. He's like the older brother she's always wanted.

mentor — Matt Steffanina // 31 // choreographer // driven, dorky // Although he was her mentor for dancing and helped her with her career in the dance community, he was also like the father figure to her within the community. He's seen her at her best and at her lowest. He always teases her about her height and how little she is but has so much power whenever she dances. He knows how to push her and motivate her. He isn't afraid to call her out on her problems and tries his best to be there for her.

trainee life — After a showcase that 1Million hosted, Eunjae was approached by a talent scout who had an eye on her throughout the night. He said he had recognized her from a couple of the gigs she was able to do when she was under YG. The scout acknowledged that her talent and time training shouldn't be wasted and suggested that she auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment. Eunjae was shocked because she had always thought about going back but didn't know where to start. She was unsure about herself and going back to such a toxic environment but the scout immediately saw through her and promised her that things would turn out different this time. After that night and much deliberation with her friends and family, Eunjae decided to take the opportunity and joined their next auditions where she then passed and became a trainee at with the company. 

From her history from being a trainee, Eunjae started off by keeping to herself and not really talking about what happened with YG. But from the very beginning, she loved every moment of being at Big Hit. The trainees were a lot more welcoming and there was barely any drama she experienced compared to the time she trained at her old company. Her goal was to keep her trainee life as fair and simple as possible. If drama were to happen amongst the trainees, she preferred to stay as neutral or not be involved at all. As time passed, her ability in rapping and singing improved. She practiced so much that instructors said that she has potential to even become a lead vocalist or rapper if she ever debuted.

With her downtime, she'd either stay in the studio to practice rapping in order to get down her rhythm and pace. Because she was so used to English, she had to get used to rapping in Korean because most of her covers on Youtube, she would rap in English when she did K-POP covers and write her own lyrics to it. She would also practice her harmonization when it came to her singing as well as improving holding her notes and work on her riffs. If she wasn't found in the studio, she would be at her family's restaurant helping out with serving or on the side helping Eunwoo with his homework. To have some extra cash on her, Eunjae would time to time be a substitute instructor at 1Million.

scandal(s) — The only scandal she's been involved in was when her history at YG Entertainment spread throughout the internet. The way that she was framed by the trainees was her being a "bully" to other trainees. A video was leaked of her pushing another trainee off of her and going off on her. But really, the other trainees had pushed her over the edge and provoked her into doing those actions as a last resort. The video was released as she was announced to be a part of the group and the company allowed her to address and clear the rumours herself through the company and her personal Youtube Channels once they debuted.

personality — He's a natural flirt, but once you look past his flirty ways, he's actually a really sweet guy. Most of the time he's smooth with his words, but it's not all just sweet nothings. When he promises to do something, he will pull through. He loves to joke around and tends to be childish. But when he needs to, he will be mature and give his two cents in on what he thinks. He's very affectionate and always makes sure that those around him are okay and becomes that listening ear when needed to be. When it comes to kids, he'll become a big softie. But when you manage to get on his nerves or piss him off, he'll be stubborn and quickly loses his temper. He gets jealous easily, but not to the extent of being controlling or obsessive, just the right amount to show just how much he cares. 

relationship — When she was a trainee at YG, he was one of the few people that actually supported her and knew that the reason for her release was not true at all. They formally met each other when WINNER was involved with one of their monthly evaluations and she was put into his team. Since he wasn't that much of an experienced dancer for their dance routine, he had asked her to help him overlook their group. They had worked closely together and that's how their friendship blossomed. When it was just them two, he would playfully flirt with her and Eunjae would just brush it off or go along with it if she felt like it. He was an idol already and she was still a trainee so she'd try to keep things at a minimum between them. The two had kept in contact after she left the company and would meet up once in a while whenever they were both free. Now that she was out of the company, Eunjae gave in to her attraction towards Mino. Whenever he texted her, she willingly went along with his flirting. They would meet up together with Winner and they'd go out drinking time to time once in a while when both were available. When they hang out together, there is more skinship between them. When they're out in the club, they always dance upon each other as Mino teases her by either planting kisses on her neck or biting her ear. If they were having a movie night at his apartment, they'd be cuddled up on the couch. Both know that they have feelings towards each other, but the timing isn't right just yet. They've slept with each other and have continued doing so whenever they get the chance and agreed to keep this flirtationship/dating exclusive.

interactions — They are each other's support systems. When his temper gets riled up, she knows how to calm him. When she gets too reckless with everything and tends to forget about herself, he's the one to put her in check. Eunjae likes to think of him as her big teddy bear and loves to cuddle with him even though he can get on her nerves. When he's with her, his dorky personality tends to come out and his smoothness of being a flirt doesn't work on her.
