she's interesting to say the least. if it had to be one word? a free-spirit. yuri likes to do what she wants to do, whether it's breaking the rules or not, as long as she's having fun. but don't think she's entirely self-centered, she's not a nasty person. she won't make fun of you, or doing anything to hurt someone else.

seoul: hidden treasures
tonight we found a little haven in the back of seoul. i barely graced my house today, but it's less lonely being around people but not talking to them than staying at home alone. the chicken i ordered to eat watching the sunset over the han river is better company than a lonely house. it wasn't late enough to call anyone from the squad yet, which i think perhaps i need to find something to fill the time between school and night adventures... maybe?
but we went out tonight, the group. we didn't have a plan so we travelled on whims in the streets and alleys. we found a cute little pool place, with food and a nice ajusshi that offered us free lessons to learn how to play (at least for those who couldn't play). it was off the back main street that had people still wandering around.
can that be our place? it was very homely and nice.

seoul: gates to heaven
tonight it was guided. i think rim had mentioned the mountain earlier and tonight it led our desires. we seeked the top, to be in awe of the sheer size of our seoul. it was cold up there, perhaps we should've gone in the summer when it was warmer, but i doubt the view would change.
we didn't really stop in the city this time. i know it would be impractical if we wanted to make it to the top and back home in time. but its not a trip i regretted when we got to the top. the view was worth every gust of icy wind, every muscle ache to see it. seoul is very beautiful even with all the urbanisation.
but i think, i'd have to see this in summer just to make sure its the same.

01 she's the second child/maknae of two surgeons/doctors from the samsung medical centre in seoul. she's glad she's the youngest, because her parents expectations tend to ride more on her elder brother yunho.
as the second child, yuri's always had the freedom and blessing from her parents to do whatever she wants. (with added perks of her parents having her back when she gets into trouble)
02 she moved from auckland to seoul when she was 7 for her parents work (they wanted to moved back home and were offered a better job), but she doesn't miss it at all. yuri likes the hustle as bustle that is seoul,because auckland is a little more quieter. plus seoul is where she met the squad (who can be mad with that?)
03 yuri is the person at school who everyone knows, either from meeting her or someone talking about her. she's super friendly, so it's easy for her to make friends (like she could befriend a brick). but sometimes she's not sure whether it's because she's friendly, or because of something else that people know her.
04 she loves to travel or explore. so she's set to go and explore the world after school through backpacking. she hasn't asked anyone, but she wants someone to come with her so that she isn't totally alone.
05 literally queen of the night owls, or something like that. she's always ready to go out with friends and with the midnight squad. she likes the refreshing feeling of the night.
she often finds herself awake early in the morning (2-6am), unwillingly of course, which might contribute to her daytime naps. but she at least gets to enjoy the sunrise? until she tries to go back to sleep just before school and gets rudely awakened to go to school.
06 she once had a part-time job at a convienence store for a late (evening) shift, which she did to pass the time. but 'supposedly' quit when the squad was formed (the day of), though there is a rumor she was fired for being too loud. (she was totally fired, she just wanted a cooler story).
07 actually has a licence (she went for both a car and motorbike licence), but doesn't have a car. she tends to 'borrow' her parent's or brother's cars/bikes instead. she has been told off about it, but it hasn't stopped her.
besides, she really likes her brothers motorbike [x]
08 before the 'squad', yuri didn't really have a set group of friends. people often came and went. because of the constant coming and going of people, she was lonely (though she'd never admit it) and wanted a constant companion.
